Chapter 843 Trying on Wedding Dresses

Nathaniel had a lot on his mind. After finishing up at the Egan Group, he went to find Saskia.

Saskia hadn't gone to the office today. She was at home, cleaning up and thinking about bringing Benjamin back.

Benjamin was so young, and the thought of him being alone in the hospital room made her uneasy.

After mopping the floor, Saskia changed her clothes and was about to head out when Nathaniel walked in.

Seeing Saskia all dressed up, Nathaniel walked over and took her hand. "Perfect timing. I wanted to take you somewhere, and since you're ready, we can go straight there."

"Do we have to go today?" Saskia had no idea where Nathaniel was planning to take her.

But in her mind, nothing was more important than picking up Benjamin.

She tried to negotiate with Nathaniel, "Can we go tomorrow? I really want to bring Benjamin home today. He's accepted you now and even calls you Dad. Bringing him home would give him a better life."

Benjamin had recovered from his surgery and just needed to rest. There was no need for him to stay in the hospital any longer.

Saskia also planned to tell him about Nathaniel's true identity in the future.

For now, it was crucial for them to spend more time together, so Benjamin could bond with Nathaniel and be more receptive to the truth later on.

"I know you care about Benjamin. He's my son too, and I care about him just as much. How about this: you come with me today, and then we'll both go pick up Benjamin. We won't miss anything," Nathaniel suggested, trying to find a compromise.

He had prepared a surprise for Saskia today. If he didn't take her, all his efforts would be wasted.

"Alright, let's go then," Saskia agreed.

She followed Nathaniel to the car, and soon they arrived at a mall.

Nathaniel led her straight to the bridal shop on the top floor.

As they reached the entrance, Saskia looked at the wedding dresses displayed inside and felt like everything was surreal.

She turned to Nathaniel, surprised. "You brought me here? This place sells wedding dresses. I'm not planning to buy one, so there's no need to come here."

Although their relationship had improved, they hadn't reached the point of marriage yet. A wedding dress was definitely not necessary.

But Nathaniel was adamant. "I've already paid for it, and it's non-refundable. If you don't try it on, the money will be wasted."

He even showed Saskia the payment record.

Seeing the long string of zeros, Saskia felt a pang of heartache. "Why is it so expensive? I haven't even tried it on yet. How can they not refund it?"

"They really don't refund, and I'm not a lawyer anymore. Saskia, please do me a favor and try it on. I owe you this, and I want to make it up to you bit by bit," Nathaniel said, putting his arm around her shoulder.

If it weren't for what happened years ago, if Saskia hadn't left him, they would have been married by now.

Nathaniel really wanted to see Saskia in a wedding dress.

The shop assistant came over, warmly greeting Saskia. "Miss, you have a great figure. You look like a perfect size for our dresses. I'm sure you'll look stunning in them. Do you have any styles you like? I can bring them for you to try."

"I think the mermaid dress at the entrance looks nice, and there's one with a long train. Let's try them all," Nathaniel said, guiding Saskia into the bridal shop.

With the atmosphere set, it would be too awkward for Saskia to refuse.

She had no choice but to comply.

With the assistant's help, Saskia quickly changed into the mermaid-style wedding dress. When the curtain was pulled back, Nathaniel's eyes lit up.

He had always known Saskia was beautiful, but he hadn't expected her to look this stunning in a wedding dress.

Nathaniel's throat tightened, and he sincerely exclaimed, "Saskia, you look gorgeous."

"You two make a perfect couple. This dress looks like it was made for you," the assistant praised.

Saskia looked in the mirror and thought the dress was nice too.

If she and Nathaniel really got married...

No, she shouldn't have that thought. Their relationship was far from that stage.

"Miss, would you like to try other styles? Try a few more and choose the one you like best," the assistant suggested, recommending several more dresses.

Saskia nodded. Since she was already here, she might as well try on a few more.

The next dress was a heavy, long-train gown. It was cumbersome to put on and take off, even with the assistant's help. Nathaniel took the opportunity to buy hot cocoa for Saskia.

It was the weekend, and there were many people buying cocoa, so he had to wait in line for a while.

By the time Saskia had changed into the dress, Nathaniel hadn't returned yet. She chatted with the assistant while waiting.

Just then, Amy passed by the shop. She thought the voice sounded like Saskia's and walked in to check. It was indeed Saskia!

"This dress has a matching veil, adorned with diamonds, all hand-sewn and very sturdy. Let me bring it for you to try," the assistant said, recognizing that they were potential customers.

Since entering the shop, Nathaniel's eyes had been fixed on Saskia, filled with genuine affection.

So the assistant was particularly attentive.

Amy sneered as she walked over. "Don't waste your time. No matter how enthusiastic you are, it won't help. Even if you recommend the best wedding dress, she can't afford it. Even if she takes out a loan to buy it, who would she wear it for?"

Amy had just scanned the shop.

Nathaniel wasn't there, meaning Saskia had come alone to try on wedding dresses.

Her motive was obvious—she wanted to try on dresses and then force Nathaniel into marriage.

She should know her place!

Women like Saskia were fine to play with, but after having fun, it was time to break up. There was no way she would be brought into the family.

"This is my business, not yours," Saskia said, her face turning cold upon seeing Amy.

Today was supposed to be a happy day with Nathaniel's surprise and the plan to bring Benjamin home. Saskia was in a good mood.

She didn't want to argue with anyone.

Even if Amy was deliberately causing trouble, Saskia didn't want to engage.

Saskia's attitude only fueled Amy's arrogance. She sneered, "You stole my man. How is it not related to me? You're the other woman, don't you know that? Nathaniel is going to marry me. If you have any sense, take off that dress and get out of this shop. Otherwise, I'll help you take it off."
