Chapter 340 The Secret

"Alright!"

Oscar was waiting, eager to find out where Kevin was.

Kevin had vanished after getting out of prison!

His counter-surveillance skills were top-notch; no one had seen him since.

Haley never mentioned it, but their connection was clear. Kevin would only contact Haley, whose role was even more significant.

The fact that RavenWing's poison ended up with her was tied to Kevin.

Oscar had to find Kevin, and Haley was the bait.

Just then, the phone rang again. "Mr. Brown, this number is now disconnected. The last time it was used was at a phone booth."

Oscar expected this but still had a bit of hope.

If Kevin hadn't changed his SIM card, maybe Oscar could track him.

But it also showed Kevin was careful and didn't trust easily. They had to lure him out.

It was nighttime, and Kevin was walking somewhere.

He was fully armed, blending into the night, his eyes scanning around.

He had a gun at his waist and two knives for self-defense.

Only when entered a secluded, forested area, he relaxed a bit.

In the dark, the lights deep in the forest were bright.

"Who goes there?" The guard outside noticed someone and pointed his gun.

Kevin took off his hat, his face cold. "Can't you see clearly?"

The guard quickly put away his gun. "Mr. Garcia. Sorry!"

He hurriedly invited Kevin inside.

The houses in the forest were wooden, stacked together. They weren't luxurious but were small and neat.

Kevin observed, his eyes cold. He noticed everyone looking at him, sensing something.

Before he could go inside, Donald came out, laughing loudly. "Kevin, long time no see. You didn't even let me know when you got out of prison. I could have given you a grand welcome. Now I feel bad!"

Kevin looked at Donald and then around. "You seem to be living comfortably here."

Donald replied, "I've been waiting here for you to come back."

He put his hand on Kevin's shoulder. "Come in, I've got drinks ready. Tonight, I'll treat you well!"

Kevin stayed silent but followed him inside.

The banquet was lavish, with beautiful women in exotic, somewhat revealing outfits.

Donald enjoyed this kind of life.

Kevin, however, was indifferent.

"Try this dish; it's great. You probably haven't had it before!" Donald handed the dish to Kevin.

Kevin had no appetite, only drinking, his sharp eyes on Donald.

Donald noticed his displeasure and said, "Why so cautious? Now that you're back, we're equals here."

Kevin replied, "You're living well, but don't forget, RavenWing hasn't shown up yet."

Donald squinted and said, "RavenWing hasn't shown up, so we'll wait for him quietly."

"But you're making quite a commotion," Kevin said coldly.

Donald replied, "I made a big fuss before for your precious daughter. Don't worry, soon the city won't be so heavily guarded!"

Kevin's eyes turned cold. "What's the deal with those female corpses?"

Donald's face stiffened, downing a glass of wine. "I don't know. Are you suspecting me?"

Kevin said, "RavenWing hasn't shown up, so no one should act rashly. That's RavenWing's order. You know the consequences."

"RavenWing isn't in the country."

Kevin sensed something in his words. "So you're admitting it?"

Donald laughed. "You can't say that. There's no evidence it was me. But Kevin, we've worked together for years, we're equals. You come here accusing me, that's not right. Besides, I'm treating you well and even offering to share my power with you!"

Kevin sneered. "Do you want to betray The Crimson Eclipse Society?"

Donald's face turned cold. "You're accusing me again!"

Kevin said, "You didn't follow RavenWing's orders. I have to suspect you want to betray The Crimson Eclipse Society."

The appearance of the female corpses was already suspicious.

Donald had started selling organs, going back to his old ways.

RavenWing hadn't shown up, but with all this commotion Donald is making, it's bound to attract police suspicion.

This was after Kevin got out of prison.

The police's first suspect would be him and The Crimson Eclipse Society.

While Donald had nothing to lose.

Donald laughed.

Seeing his arrogance, Kevin's face changed.

"So what if I did it?" Donald became confident, showing no fear. "Are you going to tell RavenWing?"

Kevin's face was cold. "How dare you?"

Donald confidently said, "Didn't I say? RavenWing isn't in the country. He doesn't know what I'm doing. Even if you're his spy, what can you do to me?"

"Are you not afraid?"

"Afraid of what?" Donald's sinister eyes stared at him. "You won't tell RavenWing."

"Why?"

"I know a secret about you too," Donald said. "If RavenWing knew you were deceiving him, do you think we'd both die together?"

Kevin took a deep breath, seemingly surprised but cautious. "What secret could I have?"

Donald's smile deepened. "Of course, it's about Haley."

Kevin's eyes changed dramatically, his lips tightly pressed.

Though this could threaten Kevin, he wouldn't be easily manipulated.

He had deceived RavenWing once, just once, but he didn't want to betray RavenWing.

Especially not by collaborating with Donald.

"How about this, I'll keep your secret, and you keep mine. Isn't that good?" Donald started his persuasion again. "As long as you follow my lead, I promise you, we'll be equals. Maybe one day, we won't need RavenWing at all."

Donald hadn't truly broken free from RavenWing.

Before, he couldn't escape.

Now, out of RavenWing's sight, he wanted to.

He couldn't live under someone else's control forever.

He wanted to run his own business.

With RavenWing's spy unable to reach him, he could openly sell organs.

Once his power grew, he might even take down RavenWing!

Then, no one could threaten him!

This was Donald's ambition!
