Chapter 98 Injured for Her
That figure looked just like someone familiar.
Pearl didn't dare to jump into conclusion, she wanted to approach and get a closer look at the person.
Just as she reached the edge of the road, someone grabbed her hand.
"Pearl, please, forgive me this time, I will never do anything to harm you again, I know I was wrong!"Olivia was afraid of being taken away by the police, she might end up in jail. As long as Pearl forgave her, she wouldn't have to go. That's why she could only plead with her.
"Let go of me." Pearl still wanted to go after the person, but they were getting farther away. She struggled to free herself fromOlivia's grasp.

There were many cars passing by, and the cold wind blew against their faces, causing aching pain. They didn't even consider the situation, so Pearl sternly said, "Let go of me, stop grabbing onto me!"
There was a creaking sound. "Pearl!" In the midst of their struggle, due to inertia, Pearl was pushed outward.
Just then, a car couldn't brake in time.
Pearl watched as the car came rushing toward her. With such speed, she felt like she was going to die.
Fortunately, a hand quickly grabbed her hand and wrapped around her waist, pulling her back from the dangerous edge. They tumbled on the ground for several rounds. Pearl didn't feel any pain, but she heard a muffled groan, bringing her back to reality.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Oscar in front of her.
She didn't know when he had come over. Seeing his pale face, Pearl instinctively asked, "Where does it hurt?"
Oscar didn't say anything; his brows were tightly furrowed. He had been busy earlier and learned that someone was live streaming outside the company's entrance, about Pearl. He immediately rushed over to assess the situation and saw Pearl swaying by the roadside, as if being held hostage.
Worried about her safety with the many cars on the road, he arrived just in time. However, Pearl sensed that something was wrong. She quickly released herself from his embrace and instinctively touched his body, only to find her hand wet. When she looked at her hand, panic struck her—it was covered in red blood!
She quickly helped Oscar up and exclaimed, "You're bleeding! We need to get help!"
The people from the company also rushed out, seeing Oscar injured. They anxiously shouted, "Quick, take President Oscar to the hospital!"
Pearl didn't know where Oscar was bleeding from, but she sensed his pain. She initially thought his injured hand had split open, but then she discovered it was his back that was bleeding. A iron nail had pierced deeply into his back. Pearl didn't dare to imagine what would have happened if Oscar hadn't protected her in time. The nail could have struck her head, ending her life.
Olivia and Isabelle were completely shocked. They watched Oscar bleeding and knew they couldn't escape responsibility.Olivia explained, "Pearl, I didn't mean for this to happen. I didn't expect..."
"Shut up!" Pearl said sternly. "As long as you keep your mouth shut, you won't be in trouble. There won't be any problems!"
They didn't even dare to breathe heavily. The car arrived, and Pearl quickly helped Oscar into the car to go to the hospital.
Pearl stood outside the operating room, waiting anxiously. The nail was deeply embedded and required surgery to remove it. She was only worried that Oscar had injured his organs.
"How is Oscar?" Kittie asked with concern when she arrived.
"He hasn't come out yet," Pearl replied.
Kittie exclaimed, "How could this happen?Olivia caused trouble, and now she has hurt my son-in-law!"
Evans didn't say much; he silently waited by the side. Later, the doctor came out of the operating room.
"Doctor, how is he?" Kittie asked.
The doctor said, "The nail has been removed. Don't worry, it didn't injure any vital organs. He will be discharged after a few days of rest."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Pearl also felt relieved.
After all, Oscar got hurt because of her, and she would blame herself.
Oscar remained unconscious and was taken to a regular ward.
She sat outside, being silent. Oscar had just protected her without considering the danger.

Hathaway rushed over in a state of panic and asked, "How is Oscar? How is my son?"

"How is my son?"

Seeing her so worried, Kittie said, "Oscar is still sleeping, there's nothing serious. The doctor said..."

Hathaway angrily slapped Pearl in the face.
Pearl hadn't reacted yet when she received a slap on her face. She looked up at Hathaway.
