Chapter 878 No Longer Difficult

Saskia shot a sideways glance at Electra, her icy stare saying it all.

Even if she wasn't working as a secretary at the Egan Group, she had still gone to college. If she couldn't even handle a PowerPoint presentation, she might as well be dead.

Electra was taken aback for a moment. "Can't I question it?"

Saskia sneered.

She then led Electra into the conference room, where the PowerPoint Electra had requested was displayed in front of her.

Saskia smiled and asked, "Ms. Ross, any more questions?"

Saskia had anticipated all the difficulties Electra might present and had prepared for everything.

Moreover, that day at BidHub, it was because of Saskia that Nathaniel hadn't taken further action against her.

Electra understood that Saskia wanted to prove herself through her.

And she fully realized that Saskia's thorough thinking made her an exceptional woman. She finally understood why Nathaniel had chosen her.

"I'll sign off on this project. I won't make things difficult for you anymore."

"It's better to have one more friend than one more enemy. Electra, you're a very capable person, too."

Saskia was now praising Electra, but Electra felt she didn't deserve Saskia's praise. "Saskia, I apologize for my previous behavior."

Electra bowed at a 90-degree angle.

There were others in the conference room. Electra was well-known in the industry, and no one expected her to bow to Saskia.

Saskia wasn't just Nathaniel's wife, supported by him. During her time at the Egan Group, she had earned the respect of her colleagues through her abilities.

This was Saskia's comeback.

Saskia knew that from now on, she could hold her head high.

She brought the signed agreement to Nathaniel. Seeing the smile on Saskia's face, Nathaniel was happy for her. "I knew it, my wife is the best."

"And you still want me to be a stay-at-home mom," Saskia teased Nathaniel.

Nathaniel hugged her. "Alright, if you want to be a career woman, then be a career woman. I support you. But what do you want for dinner tonight?"

Nathaniel wanted to spend some quality time with her.

But Saskia preferred to stay home, especially since Benjamin was there.

During those four years, Saskia had lived frugally and done all kinds of work. She knew that restaurant kitchens weren't always clean.

Saskia said, "Let's go home. We've given our time to work during the day. Shouldn't we give our time to our child in the evening?"

"Alright, whatever you say."

They arrived home right on time. Jade had almost fully recovered. Although they had a nanny, she preferred to cook herself.

Seeing them come back, Jade was a bit reluctant. "Didn't I tell you? With me here, you don't need to worry."

They came back early because they were thinking about their child.

But she was Benjamin's biological grandmother. How could she harm him? Besides, Saskia had noticed Jade's behavior and changes over time.

Jade had discovered the joy of taking care of her grandson and hoped Saskia and Nathaniel would have more children.

That way, the house would be lively.

Saskia understood what Jade meant and quickly took her hand. "Mom, I know you mean well. But Benjamin's at a critical stage in school. We need to be there for him."

Benjamin had lived with her for three years and was closest to her. He had always longed for his father's love, and they needed to be there for him, participating in parent-child activities together.

Jade sighed. "But you see, Benjamin is doing great with me. I'll take good care of him. While you and Nathaniel have time, and Benjamin is in school, why don't you have a couple more kids? I'll take care of them. Wouldn't it be nice to have a lively household?"

As Saskia was thinking of how to respond, Nathaniel spoke first. "It's not that we don't want to. But Saskia and I have decided to focus on Benjamin for now. We'll think about more kids later."

He hadn't even taken good care of Benjamin yet. If they had another child, wouldn't Benjamin feel like their love was divided?

"Why? Is there a health issue?" Jade's gaze shifted to Nathaniel.

Saskia had already given birth to Benjamin, so it couldn't be her.

Noticing Jade's look, Nathaniel continued, "Yes, I have a health issue. Over the past four years, with the stress of work and medical treatments, my sperm count is very low."

Jade couldn't stay calm after hearing that. She immediately called Robbie. "You were planning to hand the company over to Nathaniel, but his health is in trouble. You need to take over the company right away and let Nathaniel rest. One child isn't enough."

She had only given birth to Nathaniel. Back then, she had done everything to keep him from being with Saskia, but he still didn't get married.

She had focused all her attention on Nathaniel. If she had had a second child, she could have turned to them if Nathaniel didn't listen.

She knew the struggles of having only one child, so she wanted them to have more—three, four. The Egan family could afford it.

Robbie was immediately concerned about Nathaniel's health. "What's wrong?"

"Low sperm count? That's not good."

"You need to take over right away!"

With Jade's insistence, Robbie had no choice.

Jade even prepared various herbal remedies for Nathaniel, all aimed at one thing: having more children.

Seeing the dark, murky concoctions, Nathaniel felt a chill down his spine.

"Mom, can you stop with this? I said one child is enough for us. Even if we can't have more, we'll focus on raising Benjamin well."

Jade sensed something in Nathaniel's words. "Even if we can't have more... Nathaniel, is this just an excuse to brush me off?"

Seeing Jade's reaction, Nathaniel had to nod.

Nathaniel explained gently, "Really, Saskia and I have many things we want to do. We want to take it easy for a while. As for kids, we'll let nature take its course. Besides, your health isn't fully recovered. Taking care of one child is already tiring. Taking care of several would be exhausting."

Jade wasn't afraid of that. She gave Nathaniel a cold look. "We have a nanny. It's not like we can't afford one."
