Chapter 762 Going Home for Dinner
Saskia stayed quiet, letting her tears fall silently.
She picked up the money, and Nathaniel suddenly threw a piece of clothing at her. "Put this on, right here, right now."
Saskia looked at the outfit and felt a mix of shame and anger.
It was barely anything, mostly black lace that was see-through and covered almost nothing.
If they were in a moment of passion, Saskia might not mind wearing it to spice things up, but now, all she felt was humiliation.
"What's the holdup? Need me to help you?" Nathaniel's impatience was obvious.
His stare made Saskia super uncomfortable.
Even though they had seen each other naked many times, Saskia couldn't bring herself to change into such a shameful outfit in front of him.
She whispered, "Can I go to the room to change?"
"Back to Azalea's room?" Nathaniel's patience was running out.
With a few quick moves, he tore off Saskia's top. "I'll say it again, change your clothes right here, right now!"
Saskia had no choice but to comply.
The living room window was open, and she could feel the cool breeze on her skin.
Once she had changed, Nathaniel dragged her to the kitchen, making her wash vegetables while he had sex with her from behind.
After washing the vegetables, she had to cut them.
Saskia was exhausted, barely able to stand, and the vegetables she cut were all crooked.
Suddenly, Azalea's voice came from the living room, getting closer and closer. "George, I just took a nap. How about I help you cut the vegetables? You do everything yourself, and it makes me feel bad."
Hearing this, Saskia froze in fear.
What if Azalea opened the door?
However, Nathaniel showed no intention of letting Saskia go. He responded to Azalea without a change in expression, "No need, just wait in the living room for dinner."
Azalea remarked, "By the way, have you seen Saskia? She's not in her room. Did she go out?"
At that time, Saskia felt both ashamed and guilty.
She wished she had gone out instead of being trapped in the kitchen, feeling like dough being kneaded endlessly by Nathaniel.
"No," Nathaniel said.
Azalea, bored in the living room, decided to take a walk in the garden.
After another ten minutes, Nathaniel finally let go of Saskia.
He looked at the bruises on her body. "You look good in this outfit. Wear it for the rest of the night, no changing."
"I've done everything you wanted. Now I just want to change into normal clothes. Nathaniel, please don't do this." Saskia cried helplessly.
However, her tears no longer held the power to elicit Nathaniel's sympathy.
He exclaimed, "Looks like you really can't remember what I said. What are you supposed to call me?"
Saskia still couldn't bring herself to say that.
Sensing her reluctance, Nathaniel reached down to lift her leg. She recoiled in fear, her face going pale, and finally mustered the courage to speak.
Only then did Nathaniel let her go.
After he left, Saskia cracked the kitchen door open, carefully peeking out. Once she confirmed Azalea wasn't in the living room, she ran back to her bedroom as fast as she could.
She locked the door, crying as she showered, scrubbing her skin until it was red.Remembering Nathaniel's words, she changed into the lace outfit after her shower, then threw on a thick nightgown over it.
When she went downstairs, the food was already on the table, and Azalea had come back from her walk.
Azalea was ladling soup, chuckling at the oddly shaped carrots. "George, how did you manage to cut the carrots like this? This isn't quite up to your usual cooking standards!"
"I didn't cut them today," Nathaniel said curtly.
There were only three people in the house. If he didn't cut them, there was only one other person who could have.
Azalea turned to Saskia. "Saskia, I remember you being good at cooking. How did you cut the carrots like this?"
"Maybe I'm a bit out of practice," Saskia said, wishing she could escape this awkward situation.
She then pulled out a chair, but the movement was too much, and she almost hurt her back.
Seeing this, Azalea quickly supported her. "Your back needs treatment. This is serious. How about I go with you to the doctor tomorrow?"
"No need, I'll get it treated at the hospital," Saskia said firmly, determined not to let Azalea accompany her.
If Azalea found out the real reason for her back pain, she'd never hear the end of it.
At this, Azalea didn't press further.
During dinner, Azalea did most of the talking, with Nathaniel occasionally responding. Saskia kept her head down, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Halfway through the meal, Nathaniel's phone rang.
It was a call from Jade.
He glanced at the screen and then took the call on the balcony. "Mom, what's up?"
"Can't a mother call her son just because? You haven't been home for dinner in two weeks. Come home tonight," Jade insisted, hoping to introduce him to a suitable woman.
Nathaniel wanted to decline, but Jade pushed on, "I made seafood soup just for you. I cooked for hours and even burned my hand. You have to come home and enjoy it."
He found it hard to say no, realizing that this was Jade's way of expressing her care. Not going home would only add to her worries.
He said, "I'll be home in about half an hour."
"Drive safely, and take your time," Jade reminded him before ending the call.
Jade glanced at the woman beside her, a sense of satisfaction washing over her.
This was the future daughter-in-law Jade had meticulously selected from a pool of well-bred young women. Beautiful and well-educated, having studied abroad, she surpassed Saskia in every aspect.
Nathaniel was sure to be drawn to her.
Back at Nathaniel's place, he didn't mention going home. He just told Azalea, "I have to work late tonight, so I won't be back."
"Why are you working so late? Your boss is too much. Can't the work wait until tomorrow?" Azalea complained.
Yet she was practical, fetching his coat and bag. "Even if you're working late, make sure to rest. Staying up all night is bad for your health."
"Alright, you go ahead and eat," Nathaniel said as he slipped on his shoes and stepped out the door.
At this, Saskia thought she could finally relax for the night. After dinner, she sat on the couch with Azalea to watch TV.
But then her phone rang, and a text message came through. [Send me a pic of what you're wearing right now.]
