Chapter 536 Why Not

Sophia felt kinda awkward and said, "He might not show up."

"What?" Pearl was totally shocked.

But getting back to the point, Pearl laid it out straight. "If he can be late or even bail on your wedding day, you really gotta reconsider."

"Okay, thanks, Pearl." Sophia said, grateful.

Oscar looked at Sophia. "Need any help?"

Sophia was Hunter's granddaughter, and Oscar couldn't just sit back and do nothing.

Sophia shook her head. "Thanks, but I got this."

If they helped, it would probably just end up with them beating up her boyfriend and making him apologize.

After all that, she definitely wouldn't go through with the wedding.

So, she could handle it on her own.

Oscar put his arm around Pearl's shoulder and told Sophia, "If you need anything, just call me."

"Okay."

With that, Oscar and Pearl left.

Even though Sophia was left alone at the City Hall, her eyes were determined, and her expression was even colder.

On the way back, Oscar was thinking about the wedding.

"Who do you want as your bridesmaid?"

Oscar had some people in mind and planned to invite everyone he knew.

"Who else can I call?"

Janetta was the only choice for a bridesmaid.

"The wedding's in three days. You should start making calls." Oscar was pumped to have a big wedding with Pearl.

This way, everyone would know they were married.

"Three days? That's so soon!" Pearl was surprised.

Oscar's lips curled into a gentle smile. "Not soon at all. Our wedding is way overdue, and we've been back for a few days now."

If you really want something, you can make it happen.

"Since you put it that way, what can I say? Go ahead and make the arrangements." Even though Pearl said this, she was smiling brightly.

She and Oscar had been married for years without a wedding. They had a secret marriage, and no one knew who Oscar's wife was.

Now that Oscar had been "dead" for five years, they had long been forgotten by the world.

So, even fewer people knew who Pearl was.

Pearl understood Oscar's actions.

Back home, Oscar had Harold bring over a bunch of wedding dresses. Oscar was worried that the drawings wouldn't do them justice.

Seeing all the wedding dresses, Pearl was completely stunned.

"Are you planning to have me..."

"Try on each one and see which looks best," Oscar said gently before Pearl could finish her sentence.

Pearl couldn't help but tease. "What if I say they all look good?"

Pearl looked at Oscar playfully.

Oscar affectionately patted Pearl's head. "If they all look good, then wear them all."

He wasn't short on cash.

Pearl was completely shocked. "You don't plan to turn the wedding venue into a fashion show, do you?"

If that happened, what would people think?

"If you like it, why not?"

Even Magdalen was surprised.

Magdalen couldn't help but tease, "Look at you two, if you're gonna flaunt your love, can you at least think about our feelings?"

Pearl looked down. Even though she was already thirty, she still got shy easily and couldn't meet Magdalen's gaze.

Oscar said, "I owe Pearl too much. Now, whatever she wants, I'll do my best to give it to her."

Not to mention what he could do, even if he didn't have it, he'd go to great lengths to get it for her.

"Don't tell me these things. Do whatever you want." Magdalen quickly raised her hand, not wanting to hear more.

Magdalen liked Christopher, so she stayed at The Brown Family Estate.

Oscar took care of every detail of their wedding.

On the wedding day, James Roberts, Quincy, Nathaniel, and Janetta all came, including Sophia.

Hunter was really old, but he personally came to give Oscar his blessings. Not just them, but also RavenWing, Louis, Jimena, and Barbara and Elijah.

Barbara and Elijah had planned to get married this year, but Elijah always had missions, and the date kept getting pushed back. Unexpectedly, Pearl and Oscar ended up having their wedding before them.

Of course, those close to them had seen the struggles Oscar and Pearl had gone through, and besides blessings, they were genuinely happy.

Jeffery also came to the wedding.

He gave Pearl a pink diamond necklace as a wedding gift, along with a specially formulated medicine.

He personally handed it to Pearl and explained carefully, "Keep this bottle of medicine. It can save your lives in critical moments."

Pearl felt a heavy weight in her heart, knowing that this bottle of medicine represented a significant amount of Jeffery's hard work and dedication.

Moreover, everyone who came brought the most sincere gifts. Pearl was very touched, and a simple thank you seemed too inadequate, so she gave Jeffery a hug.

"Jeffery, thank you. You've helped me so much. There were many times when I wouldn't have known what to do without you. You'll always be family and a friend to me."

Jeffery was truly wonderful, and she knew how much he had done for her. But she had already fallen in love with Oscar.

She could only see Jeffery as a friend and give him her most heartfelt blessings.

Jeffery patted her shoulder and smiled. "Of course, I am your family."

"Yes."

They didn't have time to catch up at the wedding.

Soon, it was time, and Oscar personally came to find Pearl. In front of all their friends and family, amidst everyone's blessings, they walked down the red carpet step by step.

Their best friends served as the best man and maid of honor. Their son, Christopher, was the ring bearer.

RavenWing, Evans, Kittie, and Magdalen were the witnesses.

Actually, Oscar had invited Alfonso and even sent an invitation to Charles. Charles didn't come, and Alfonso said he wouldn't attend the wedding without a million dollars.

Oscar had the money, but Alfonso had completely changed, and he didn't want to give it to him.

What they didn't expect was that Mackenzie would actually come.
