Chapter 62 Seraphina Brooks
"Seraphina Brooks."
Seraphina, a girl with long hair, gave a fragile impression. She was thin and afraid of strangers.
Seraphina had a similar figure to Pearl but had a simple and innocent look, similar to Haley's. She was the type of woman that men couldn't resist.
The landlady introduced Seraphina to Pearl, saying, "Seraphina is a new girl, beautiful and still undergoing training. She hasn't started working yet. She comes from a rural area, and her mother is ill and in need of money. Her background is clean."
Pearl thought Seraphina was the perfect fit. She was young, beautiful, and could evoke a man's protective instinct. This was exactly the type that Oscar liked.
"I choose her," Pearl said.
Seraphina didn't know why they called her over, so fear and a bit of panic appeared in her eyes. She stuttered, "What do you want from me? I'm new here, and I only accompany people; I won't sell myself."
Pearl understood her panic and did not force her. She gently said, "I just need you to do me a favor, and I'll give you some money in return. I'm not forcing you, but if you're willing to help me, you can contact me."
She gave Seraphina a business card.
Seraphina timidly glanced at Pearl, even though she didn't understand everything, she recognized the words on the business card.
Afraid that something might go wrong, Pearl also said to the landlady, "If you can help me find this person, I will pay you enough money. I need to find them as soon as possible."
The landlady was willing to do anything as long as there was money. She smiled and said, "Okay, Ms. Harris. Don't worry, I have many resources. I can find many girls of this type for you to choose from."
Pearl agreed and left.
The girl named Seraphina held the business card tightly, her knuckles turning white. She hesitated and looked at Pearl, who was about to leave, and shouted, "Wait!"
Pearl stopped and turned back.
Seraphina bit her lip, almost drawing blood. "How much money will you give me?"
She didn't want to wait. Seraphina's family still needed money. Her mother was waiting for her medical expenses, and she had two younger brothers to support. All the burdens of the family were on her shoulders.
Seraphina didn't know when she would be able to earn money. She had no education and no social experience, and she was afraid of being taken advantage of in the big city. But she could tell that the woman in front of her was very wealthy. If Seraphina agreed, she would receive a considerable reward and could send money back to her hometown for her mother.
Pearl turned around again and asked, "How old are you?"
"Twenty... years old," Seraphina replied, her face pale. Pearl looked at her and thought she looked gaunt, but her eyes were lively and endearing, and she was reasonably attractive.
"As long as you're willing, I'll pay for your mother's medical expenses," Pearl said.
A glimmer of hope ignited in Seraphina's eyes. "Really?"
"Yes, I'm not lying to you."
Seraphina understood that there were many beautiful girls in the nightclub, and she didn't know anything compared to them. She might not earn enough money. If she could save her mother, Pearl must have a lot of money.
Seraphina wasn't stupid. She knew that doing this would earn more money than working in the nightclub. If she didn't agree today, and Pearl found another suitable girl, she would miss this opportunity.
She did not have a chance to hesitate.
Seraphina nodded and gathered her courage. "Okay, I'll do it, as long as you give me the money."
Pearl thought it would take several days to find a suitable candidate.
This was beyond her expectations.
As she came out of the nightclub, Janetta still had doubts and said, "Are you sure you want to do this? Aren't you afraid that Oscar will develop feelings for this girl?"
"This girl is beautiful and young. No man can resist such temptation."
Janetta was a little worried. There was not a single man in this world who wasn't lustful, and seeing such a young girl would inevitably bring about some impulses.
In her current situation, Pearl had no other choice.
"I have no other options," Pearl said with a forced smile. "Even if it's like this, I must do it, otherwise I will definitely regret not making this decision today."
She didn't dare to risk her child.
Janetta was not entirely clear about her intentions, but since she had made this decision, there must be difficulties she was facing.
Janetta didn't ask.
If Pearl wanted to say, she would tell Janetta.
It was just that they had only reconciled a few days ago, and now such a situation had arisen. Something serious must have happened.
Janetta sympathized with Pearl.
If Pearl hadn't met Oscar, she would still be happy.
Janetta just gave a little reminder, "Then you should also be careful, not only with Oscar but also with this girl. She looks innocent, but who knows if she will do something harmful to you."
Pearl thought, 'At that time, we will already be divorced. We won't have any intersections, and whatever happens afterward will have nothing to do with me.'
Pearl looked at Janetta, who was helping her unconditionally, and knew that Janetta cared about her, so she was moved and felt that this friend of hers was very worthy.
She gave Janetta a hug, and Janetta was surprised and responded, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just think you're really great."
"I've been good to you for more than just a day or two, but you've also been good to me. From having nothing to developing to where we are today, you haven't stopped helping me." Janetta also felt grateful deep down in her heart. They complemented each other and both wanted the best for the other.
Back when Janetta had just graduated, she was an inexperienced girl with dreams.
Someone gave her hope, so she thought she could have a very bright future, but that person turned out to be a lecher in his fifties.
He only said that he would make her famous, but in reality, he wanted to take advantage of being her senior to harass her.
Janetta remembered the day when her dreams were shattered, and she felt that everything was not very practical. It was too difficult to make something of herself.
She wanted to give up, so she sat on the street and cried for several hours.
In the end, it was Pearl who found her.
At that time, Pearl had already made it by her own abilities and was by Oscar's side.
She did not fear the situation and went straight to the old man, giving him a lesson and exposing his scandal, causing him to lose his dignity in the industry.
Pearl also told Janetta not to give up on what she loved.
She would succeed.
She indeed listened to Pearl's words, didn't give up, and that was how she achieved her success today.
Pearl brought luck to Janetta.
Janetta wanted to take care of her for the rest of her life.
Pearl reminisced that they were not the best of friends at first, with no common topics in social interaction and life planning.
But in the end, they could become friends, destiny accomplished them.
Pearl smiled and said, "If I have a child in the future, I will definitely make you his godmother!"
"Okay, if I have a child in the future, I will also make you his godmother. If yours is a boy and mine is a girl, let them get engaged!" Janetta thought farther.
Pearl shook her head. "No, let them freely fall in love. We shouldn't bind them together from an early age in case they don't like each other."
Janetta considered for a moment and said, "You're right."
