Chapter 215 Which TV Station

"Alright," Pearl said softly.

Seeing Pearl's indifference, Chloe wanted to say more but decided against it, not wanting to give it too much weight.

She looked away, kept her haughty demeanor, grabbed her documents, and strutted off in her high heels.

Emma watched Chloe leave and couldn't help but make a funny face.

Noticing Emma's reaction, Pearl asked, "What did Chloe do to tick you off?"

Emma replied, "She's annoyed a lot of people, not just me. But no one dares to say anything because she's the top performer here!"

Pearl shrugged, "She's the top performer for a reason. She's bold and determined."

"It's not just that; she aggressively takes what she wants," Emma continued. "I had a promising project once. If I'd succeeded, I wouldn't be stuck here typing all day. Even if I might not have succeeded, I should've had a chance. But Chloe took that opportunity away. She doesn't give newcomers a shot. She wants to be the best at the TV station. Let me tell you, she aims to be the editor-in-chief and even higher!"

Emma knew all too well how ambitious Chloe was.

From Emma's words, Pearl learned a lot about Chloe. "With that attitude, she must have a lot of enemies."

"She cares about performance, not friends," Emma added. "Look at the people following her. They seem willing to do anything for her, but if she ever messes up, they'll be the first to hate her!"

Following Emma's gaze, Pearl saw the people helping Chloe, chatting and laughing, in positions similar to Emma's.

They were probably hoping Chloe would give them a chance.

"However," Emma continued, "Chloe hasn't secured this interview before, and there's no guarantee she'll manage it this time. If she fails again, she's going to be furious!"

Pearl didn't say anything, but Emma's words made her think.

In the past, she had intercepted several interview requests for Oscar over the phone. Many people wanted to interview him, from major TV stations to small magazines.

Oscar had always refused these requests.

Most of the information about Oscar online was hearsay, and there were very few statements from him directly.

This time, whether Chloe could succeed or not depended on her luck.

Chloe was quite eager for this opportunity to interview Oscar again.

She had proposed this plan when she had some minor achievements, but after three months, she still hadn't interviewed Oscar.

She hadn't even met him in person.

On the phone, she was always told that Oscar was unavailable or too busy.

If a newcomer succeeded this time, it would be an insult to her!

She wouldn't be able to continue working at the TV station.

Moreover, it was a challenge she was willing to accept. This time, she was determined to secure the interview with Oscar!

After packing her things, Chloe took her equipment and left, accompanied by two of her subordinates.

Piper and Hazel were both young women who had been with the company for over a year, always following Chloe.

"Chloe, are we really going to get this interview today?" Piper asked, knowing how notoriously difficult it was to secure an interview with him.

Chloe got into the car and quickly touched up her makeup. Upon hearing this, she paused and glanced over. "What are you talking about? Are you boosting others' morale while undermining our own? Don't belittle yourself to boost someone else's ego. This time, I will succeed. Any project that fails in my hands, I must personally reclaim!"

"That's right. You've been through everything and have done many interviews with entrepreneurs, always praised for your professionalism! This time, you will definitely succeed," Hazel praised, rushing to bring a thermos for Chloe to stay hydrated.

Chloe took the thermos with a smile and said, "If I nail this, I'll definitely get a promotion and a raise. I've heard the editor-in-chief is moving up, and with my stellar performance, that spot is mine. When that happens, I'll make sure to groom both of you to be the next me. I won't forget your help!"

"That's awesome! Thanks, Chloe!"

Piper and Hazel were thrilled. Their future hinged on Chloe climbing to the editor-in-chief position.

Chloe made several calls to the Brown Group, using the same old excuses.

She wasn't one to sit around and wait.

Based on her past experience, Chloe knew she had to take matters into her own hands.

After a four-hour drive, she arrived at the Brown Group building.

She had even bribed the security guard and asked repeatedly, "Are you sure Oscar will leave from the front entrance at five?"

"Yes, Mr. Brown usually exits through the underground garage, but if he's in a hurry, he'll have his car parked at the front entrance and take the elevator down from here," the guard told Chloe. "Recently, Mr. Brown has been leaving at five. He probably has something important outside, so this is your best chance to see him!"

"What important matter?" Chloe was curious, thinking it might be something she could include in the interview. "Why is he in such a rush to leave at five?"

The guard thought for a moment. "I'm not sure, but I've heard people say Mr. Brown is getting a divorce. That's how I found out he was married and now getting divorced. No one knows who Mrs. Brown is; they keep guessing but never figure it out."

"Married and now getting divorced," Chloe said, as if she had learned some juicy gossip.

"I'm not sure if the divorce rumor is true, but the marriage is confirmed!"

"Mr. Brown is really married?" Chloe confirmed again.

The guard said, "You didn't know? Mr. Brown announced his marriage in front of the media, and it even trended, but the topic was later removed. You probably missed it."

"Anything else? Tell me everything." Chloe was even more interested.

After an hour of chatting, Chloe had heard all the little tidbits.

Oscar was not as simple as Chloe had imagined.

Chloe was even more determined to interview him!

She had driven there in the morning and had been lurking at the entrance for four or five hours when she finally saw Oscar's car pull up.

The guard had mentioned that Oscar's car was a Rolls-Royce.

Checking her watch, she knew he would be coming out soon.

Sure enough, she saw Oscar stride out, followed by several people.

Chloe had never seen Oscar in person before. She had interviewed many entrepreneurs, but few were as young, tall, handsome, and charismatic as him.

Chloe was even more motivated. She immediately got out of the car and walked up with a smile. "Mr. Brown, I'm Chloe from the TV station. Here's my ID. I'd like to do an interview with you. When would you have time?"

Oscar was stopped and instinctively frowned. "Wasn't anyone supposed to inform you? I don't like wasting time."

Chloe followed him again. "We can schedule it at your convenience, Mr. Brown. An interview with me will make you even more famous, with millions of shares. Trust me."

Oscar was very annoyed by such talk and said, "Get her out of here!"

"Miss, please step aside and don't block Mr. Brown's way!"

The security guard stopped Chloe.

Oscar got into the car without looking back.

Chloe became more anxious, fearing she wouldn't get another chance to meet him. She continued, "I really am from the TV station. I'm not like those gossip reporters. My intention is genuinely for your benefit, Mr. Brown..."

Upon hearing this, Oscar suddenly thought of something, turned his head, and looked at her coldly. "Which TV station?"
