Chapter 343 Over Ten Million Views

Pearl, still groggy, croaked, "What happened?"

"Our web series!" Penelope exclaimed. "Check the view count!"

That woke Pearl up completely.

She sat up, grabbed her phone, and checked their show's stats.

It had jumped from second place yesterday to first today.

Compared to yesterday, this morning's views had multiplied, and the reviews were getting better.

It had been trending for the day, which was a huge surprise for Pearl.

If the popularity kept rising and the plot stayed strong, the views would only get better.

Pearl felt relieved and happy. Hard work paid off; if she kept at it, she'd get what she wanted.

She quickly got ready to meet up with the team.

Downstairs, she ran into Jeffery, who was driving. He rolled down the window and said, "Where are you headed? I'll give you a lift."

Pearl, in a good mood, accepted.

She got in, eager to share the good news.

But Jeffery spoke first, "Congrats, your show's doing great."

"Thanks," Pearl smiled. "I just want to make enough for my son's expenses."

She had bet all her savings on this show.

Judging by the trend, she wouldn't lose money and might even make some, which was the best outcome for Pearl.

As long as the show had some success, investors and actors wouldn't lose much.

Jeffery smiled and asked, "How do you know the baby will be a boy?"

Pearl touched her belly and said, "I like daughters too. It doesn't matter; I just feel it's a boy."

Her intuition told her so.

Jeffery didn't say much, just looked at her belly.

Pearl stayed optimistic, not thinking about the worst. When she gave birth, things might not be so bad.

Despite others saying the baby would drain her nutrients and harm her, for now, having the baby made her feel secure.

For the baby's sake, she would stay strong.

"Make sure you rest," Pearl said, looking at Jeffery with concern. "It looks like you've lost weight."

Jeffery hid his feelings and answered lightly, "I'm fine, don't worry."

"We're here," he said as the car stopped at the entrance.

Pearl quickly got out.

After getting out, she waved goodbye to Jeffery and walked inside.

Jeffery's car stayed parked for a while before leaving.

As soon as Pearl walked in, streamers flew at her.

"Today is the real surprise, we did it!" Penelope was ecstatic.

"How do you like my headband? It's Eileen-themed!" Emma twirled around, showing off her headband supporting Eileen's character from the show.

Pearl took off the streamers and asked, "It's only the second day, and you already have accessories?"

Emma said, "I didn't design them; they're being sold online. There are headbands, figurines, keychains, and more!"

"Can online stores move that fast?" Pearl was skeptical.

"The internet is that fast; they had stock within two hours!" Emma showed her the "Glory" merchandise online.

Pearl was amazed. "The internet is really advanced, such quick action."

"Look how cute they are," Emma gushed over the merchandise.

Eileen added, "They're so lifelike. Human creativity is amazing."

Pearl laughed, "Did you authorize this?"

"Yes!" Penelope confirmed. "I can vouch for it. This isn't piracy; it's officially licensed. These are samples, and the real products are already selling online. They seem to be doing well!"

"Looks like I'm not dreaming; 'Glory' has really taken off," Pearl said, still in a bit of a daze. Yesterday, "Glory" was quiet, but today its view count had skyrocketed.

"The view count has already broken ten million!" Emma exclaimed.

Pearl checked the web series's data.

The comments had also risen to over ten thousand.

For a web series, this was a big deal.

"I've earned my son's formula money!" Pearl joked.

"I think we can definitely surpass 'Echoes of the Enchanted Realm'!" Emma said. "The buzz for 'Glory' keeps rising, and the media are calling it one of the best shows of the year!"

"I see video clips of it everywhere, with hundreds of thousands of likes," Emma added.

Pearl didn't care much about "Echoes of the Enchanted Realm."

As long as "Glory" was popular, she didn't mind how well "Echoes of the Enchanted Realm" did.

But from what they said, "Echoes of the Enchanted Realm" was also doing well, especially since it was airing on TV and online.

Its traffic and success would be twice as good as theirs.

"Let's celebrate! Penelope and Pearl, you both should treat us!" Emma cheered.

"Of course, I'll cover the bill today!" Penelope said. "Pearl doesn't have to; she needs to take care of her baby. I'll treat everyone to dinner tonight!"

"Ms. Vargas is so generous!"

While they were celebrating, Pearl's attention was caught by a message from Harper.

The news hadn't been released yet, but it was about Oscar.

The police had taken down a criminal organization, and the scene was brutal. They had engaged in fierce combat. Although the photos didn't show any bloody scenes, the place was a mess, definitely dangerous and terrifying.

Coupled with her dream last night, her premonition grew worse.

Eileen noticed her face turning pale and walked over to see the news she was looking at. "Are you very worried about him?" she asked.

Pearl put her phone away. "No, I'm not."

"But I can see it on your face," Eileen said. "With the recent female corpse case causing panic, it's inevitable that the police would act. Oscar, shedding his title as the CEO of the Brown Group, has another identity. Being a soldier brings both honor and danger. His mission probably isn't over yet; otherwise, the news would have come out."

Pearl's heart was racing, and she couldn't control her emotions. "I can accept being apart from him, as long as he's alive and we can still see each other. I don't necessarily have to be with Oscar, but with him by my side for so many years, knowing he has to carry out such dangerous tasks, I can't help but worry if he'll come back alive."

"I understand," Eileen said. "You still love him, and I think he loves you too. There are things I don't know, but feelings can't just be taken back. Oscar must have his reasons, and you understand them too."

Pearl smiled bitterly.

She knew her fate and didn't want to drag him down.

She was letting him go, and in doing so, setting herself free too.
