Chapter 524 Give Him the Antidote

Jimena was feeling like total crap, but she still thought about Louis and decided to bounce.

Louis was always so cold to her. If he caught her hanging around his door, he'd flip out. She didn't want to piss him off.

So, she turned to RavenWing.

When RavenWing saw Jimena's teary eyes, he got the picture right away. "If Louis is giving you a hard time, I can help you set him straight."

He was basically saying: "if it's something else, you're on your own."

Jimena had always been by Louis's side, and RavenWing could see she had feelings for him.

You can't force love, right? Plus, Louis was always super stubborn.

Jimena didn't expect RavenWing to be so upfront.

She took a deep breath and said softly, "RavenWing, can't you help me out? I really love him. I swear I can always be there for him and support him."

Even though Jimena's voice was all shaky, she had no choice but to ask RavenWing for help.

She really loved Louis. She'd had a crush on him since forever.

She never had the guts to tell him before because she thought she wasn't good enough for him. So, she kept studying and working hard.

Finally, she got the courage to confess, but Louis shot her down.

She couldn't figure out why Louis didn't like her.

If it was because she had hurt Pearl before, she was ready to apologize to Pearl.

She went to RavenWing just to get a shot at being with Louis, but RavenWing's stance was clear.

"Jimena, Alvin has done a lot for the Eldorians, and I've always looked out for you. I can help you with other stuff, but not this," RavenWing said slowly, pursing his lips.

He had once thought about setting Louis up with a fiancée. When he brought it up, Louis was totally against it, so he dropped the idea.

Now that Jimena had these feelings, if Louis was into her, she wouldn't be in this mess.

After what happened with Pearl and Oscar, he knew better than to mess with matters of the relationships.

Jimena opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but didn't know where to start.

RavenWing didn't have much time. He gave Jimena a few words of advice before heading to the lab.

Jimena's heart felt like it was being stabbed.

The more Louis pushed her away, the more she wanted to be with him. She didn't believe she couldn't win him over in the end!

Pearl and Oscar walked back.

Because of the live broadcast, Pearl had gained quite a few fans, some of whom had managed to find her account.

Fans from different countries sent her messages.

[You are really talented! Come to our country and report for us.]

[Blessings to you and Mr. Brown for a long and happy life together!]

[Are you interested in starting a newspaper? I can fully invest.]

Pearl saw a bunch of unread messages. She hadn't expected such a big reaction. But her current focus was on Christopher.

She was all in on staying by Christopher's side, helping him get better and tutoring him.

Once Christopher was fully recovered, she'd think about going back to work.

Right now, she was itching to get back.

But as Pearl put away her phone, she noticed Oscar's pale face and the sweat dripping down his forehead.

Pearl got it right away. She grabbed Oscar's hand and asked, "Is the poison still messing with you?"

"I'm sorry," Oscar's voice was all raspy and weak.

Hearing that, Pearl's heart just broke. "I don't wanna hear you say sorry. Let's get outta here!"

Pearl started pulling Oscar away. She thought RavenWing had already detoxed him, and Oscar hadn't shown any weird symptoms.

But she never expected Oscar was just faking it.

She felt super upset.

Oscar, though, held her tight and shook his head. He knew exactly what Pearl was thinking. She wanted to go back and find Charles.

But if Charles was gonna give the antidote, he wouldn't have let them go without a word.

"He doesn't wanna give it to me. He probably wants to negotiate. I don't wanna deal with him. He won't actually let me die." Oscar held on, gripping Pearl's hand tightly.

He didn't want Pearl to give in because of him.

But to Pearl, she was ready to do anything for him, just like Oscar had done for her.

Pearl said, "If he doesn't want you dead, why didn't he give you the antidote when you left?"

Charles's game was clear—he wanted Oscar to crawl back and beg.

"If you go to him now, he still won't give it. Pearl, let's go back. RavenWing can help Christopher recover, so he can help me too."

RavenWing and Jeffery were in Eldorians, so there had to be a way to detox him!

Pearl's eyes filled with tears. She got what Oscar was thinking, but compared to slowly hunting for the antidote, wouldn't it be quicker to get Charles's direct remedy?

The next second, Oscar pulled her into his arms, patting her back. "Don't think about that. I've got it all covered. I said I wouldn't leave you alone, and I won't. Let's go find Christopher first. He must miss us."

"Okay," Pearl could only agree.

On Charles's end, he had always had people tailing Oscar and Pearl. He didn't give Oscar the antidote because he wanted to see if Oscar would come crawling back because of the poison.

Unexpectedly, Oscar and Pearl didn't react at all.

Oscar was stubborn. Even if he died, he wouldn't go back to Serenea or have any ties with Charles. This was just like Ashley.

He didn't know why, but he suddenly thought of Ashley's words. "I never want to have anything to do with you again,"

Charles's breath hitched.

Ashley really did just that; she vanished from his world, taking Oscar with her. It took him forever to find Oscar again.

But things didn't go as planned. Oscar didn't play along.

Now that Oscar and Pearl had left, it was clear that Oscar wouldn't have any more ties with him.

This was his and her only bloodline. If he died, Ashley would surely blame and curse him when he saw her again.

"Someone, take the antidote to Oscar," Charles raised his voice. Soon, someone walked towards him respectfully.

When Charles handed over the antidote, his lips were tightly pressed, and his expression was stern and serious.
