Chapter 201 He Was Always Accompanying Others

"Eileen..."

I have overcome numerous challenges to reach this point. Even if the dramas I am in go unnoticed and my popularity declines, , I acknowledge that it is my own responsibility. The entertainment industry offers many opportunities. It's pointless looking down on those better than me."

"No, it's because Haley relies on her benefactor..."

"Don't slander others. Don't say such things to me again. You know what kind of person I am. I've taken too many wrong paths and need to cherish opportunities more."

Eileen cherished her future greatly.

Eileen hated people who boosted themselves by being envious of others' accomplishments.

Eileen and Haley were fundamentally different.

Eileen had climbed up from the bottom, understanding the hardships within.

Haley, on the other hand, was born wealthy, with an unfair advantage from birth.

Without that fate, one must strive to achieve what they want. Eileen believed that one day she would reach the pinnacle.

The atmosphere in the car was very tense along the way.

Oscar, with a cold face, looked out the window with deep eyes, not saying a word.

Seeing his expression, Haley didn't dare to disturb him and sat there worriedly.

Upon arriving at the company, Oscar opened the car door and got out, walking inside directly.

He walked quickly, and Haley, wearing high heels that were both thin and pointed, found it hard to keep up.

"Oscar." Haley jogged, accidentally twisting her ankle.

Oscar paused and looked back at Haley.

Haley, feeling aggrieved, held her leg, tears welling up in her eyes. "I twisted my ankle."

Oscar stood there without any action, looking at her coldly and saying, "Do you know what you said in front of the reporters today?"

Haley explained, "The reporters asked, and you are indeed very important to me..."

"Do you think I have no idea of the rhetoric of the entertainment industry?" Oscar narrowed his eyes, his tone severe. "Your words could be tomorrow's headlines about our romance. Even if they don't write it, netizens will speculate. Many undisclosed relationships in the industry, do you think netizens won't know? Your fans won't know?"

"Oscar, I really didn't mean it that way." Haley's tears fell.

Oscar warned her again, "You know I'm already married, and the media knows it too. Don't give me bad press. I don't want you to say such things in front of reporters again!"

Haley bit her lip tightly. Oscar's words were cutting off her hopes.

As long as Oscar didn't make it public, Haley always felt she had a chance.

Their divorce seemed inevitable.

If Oscar made his marriage public, anything she said to the media would appear false.

If she spoke out, it would not only damage Oscar's image but also label Haley as a mistress.

If she wanted her future and didn't want her reputation ruined, she shouldn't do it again.

"I understand." Haley's voice was low and hoarse, but she had to comply with his words. Saying too much would surely provoke his disdain.

She didn't want such an outcome.

She always wanted to get what she desired and couldn't afford to be irrational.

Seeing her restraint, Oscar said coldly, "Harold, take her back."

"Yes, Mr. Brown." Harold supported Haley, took her to another car, and drove her away.

Oscar drove himself.

Pearl had another nightmare in which she felt into the ocean.

She was unable to breathe, wanting to swim to the shore, but a huge stone pressed down on her, trapping her in this predicament.

She could only face death.

And if she died, no one would know, not even her body might be found.

"I don't want to die!" Pearl opened her eyes, shouting in agitation.

"Miss, you're awake."

Pearl's eyes were wet, tears streaming down. She realized she had a nightmare, her pillow soaked with her tears.

Pearl had been sent to the hospital again.

Pearl came to her senses, touching her belly. "My baby, my baby..."

"Miss, the baby is fine, it's safe," the nurse reassured her. "Upon your arrival, you were drenched and showed signs of a miscarriage. Fortunately, you were treated in time, and the baby is fine."

"Thank goodness." Pearl breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the baby was fine.

"Do you want to inform your family?" the nurse asked again.

Pearl looked around and asked about the hospital. Fortunately, it wasn't the same hospital as last time.

There, Oscar had friends, and her pregnancy would be impossible to hide.

Pearl said, "Alright, help me make a call.."

In less than half an hour, Janetta arrived.

She said anxiously, "What happened? How did you show signs of a miscarriage? What did you do?"

Pearl explained in detail, "Today I went to the dock to check the goods. You know Aurora, right? I always felt she looked at Oscar differently, but I never expected her to go to such extremes."

Pearl recounted the whole incident.

Janetta was furious. "Call the police, we must call the police. This is attempted murder! I want her to go to jail!"

"She fell into the sea with me. I don't know if she's dead or alive. Will this implicate me?" Pearl was still worried, never having encountered such a situation. If Pearl ended up in jail, it would be the most troublesome.

Janetta said, "You're the victim. This can't be let go. She almost caused you to miscarry. Some so many women admire Oscar. Isn't Haley enough? Now there's Aurora, who's even more vicious, wanting your life. It's all Oscar's fault. Where was he? Why didn't he go himself and let you go?. How can he be so unfair?"

The more Janetta thought about it, the angrier she got.

How could Pearl be tasked with such a rough job?

Pearl, however, smiled. "He's attending an award ceremony with Haley. She won an award, and he probably has to celebrate with her today. Naturally, the company's matters were left to me."

"Bastard!" Janetta couldn't help but curse. "I'm really angry. I want to beat up Oscar and Haley right now!"

"Don't be angry." Pearl said calmly, "I'm not angry."

Janetta said, "You're Oscar's wife. If Oscar wants to be with Haley, you're not angry, but I am!"

"Do you know what despair feels like?" Pearl smiled as she spoke. "When I fell into the sea, I understood that feeling. He will never be by my side. He will always be with others. When I saw him on TV with Haley, I truly understood. I no longer have any expectations for him. Let me go. I won't care about how he treats others anymore."

"Pearl." Janetta saw her pale face and felt particularly heartbroken.

"I'm fine." Pearl continued to smile. "I only care about my baby now. For the sake of my baby, I'm afraid of dying. I don't want to go through all this again, and I don't want to wait for that divorce decree anymore."
