Chapter 467 Those Aren't Her Memory

Haley died right in front of Oscar.

As she faced her punishment, Haley's life flashed before her eyes. She remembered being given to Kevin by Hathaway and her time in the slave camp. Those experiments were brutal.

She never found out who her real father was. She died with her eyes open, her last words echoing in Oscar's ears: "Oscar, I devoted myself to you, but you never cared. You were just getting back at me for Pearl. Now that I'm dead, I curse you and Pearl to a miserable end!"

Oscar's punishment wasn't meant to kill her. He didn't expect her to die from anger and blood loss.

Unfazed, Oscar said coldly, "Elijah, doesn't Kevin like experiments? Find him and send Haley's body back to him."

"Mr. Brown, don't worry about what Haley said. She was just angry. If words could make things happen, everyone would be a prophet," Elijah said, trying to comfort Oscar.

Elijah thought Haley's death was too easy. She had done so many bad things and even escaped once. Oscar should have torn her apart, but as soldiers, they couldn't do that.

Oscar smirked. "Of course, I know."

News of Haley's death quickly reached Kevin. Oscar didn't hide it; he even spread the word. Kevin found out while on the run, thanks to a call from Hathaway.

Hathaway hadn't contacted him in a long time. When he saw her call, Kevin was a bit dazed. As soon as he answered, Hathaway roared, "Kevin, when I gave Haley to you, what did I tell you, and how did you promise me?"

Kevin remembered that day clearly. Hathaway had personally handed Haley to him.

"Oscar wants to use you to find me. Even if he captures me, I won't be in trouble," Kevin laughed maniacally.

Hathaway shouted even louder, "What do you mean by that? Do you know Haley is dead?"

She couldn't believe it. Kevin had promised her that Haley would have a better life. But when she saw Haley's body, she realized her daughter was truly dead.

Years ago, Hathaway's cries would have softened Kevin's heart. Now, he felt nothing but coldness.

"Shut up! Do you want to retrieve Haley's body and hold a press conference with it?" Kevin chuckled, his lips curling into a mocking smirk.

Back then, out of love, he helped Hathaway raise Haley. Seeing Haley reminded him of Hathaway. At first, he took good care of Haley, but later he realized a man shouldn't be confined by emotions.

Kevin craved power and realized over time that he and Hathaway were on different paths. Plus, Haley had fallen for Oscar.

Kevin had planned to use Haley one last time, but Oscar and Louis ruined it. He wasn't ready to die or live on the run forever.

He hung up on Hathaway and made a decision. If he couldn't join the Eldorians, he'd turn to the Allied Forces.

As he moved forward, he noticed Jorge wasn't following. He turned and saw Jorge standing there, dumbfounded.

"Why are you just standing there? Do you want to die?" Kevin snapped, seeing Jorge's feelings for Haley.

A man with ambitions shouldn't be trapped by love. Jorge was the only one left by his side.

Jorge lowered his head. "Mr. Garcia, forgive me. I can't continue with you. I need to go back and find Ms. Mitchell."

Kevin didn't respond. Instead, he pulled out his gun and shot Jorge before he could react. Jorge collapsed, and Kevin fired a few more shots. Jorge struggled but couldn't move, suffocating as he bled out.

Kevin threw Jorge's body into the mountains and headed to the Allied Forces' camp. When they saw him, they raised their weapons, but he showed them the Eldorians' insignia.

"I'm Kevin from the Eldorians. I need to see your leader."

The Allied Forces hesitated but reported it.

Meanwhile, Pearl had a fever. Jeffery, worried about her health and fearing Kevin's men, took her into the forest, finding a cave. He bit his finger and fed her some of his blood, then started a fire.

Pearl was cold, and Jeffery held her tightly. She was delirious, mumbling, "Don't draw my blood! Don't hit me. Don't throw me into experiments. I don't want to be an experiment subject."

Jeffery frowned. Pearl had never been treated as an experiment subject by RavenWing and Kevin. She had protected him and Barbara when they were an experiment subjects.

Realizing something was wrong, Jeffery shook Pearl. "Pearl, wake up! Look at me! Those aren't your memories."
