Chapter 705 Don't Think Others Are Fools
"Of course not, there's nothing going on between us," Harold blurted out.
Tears welled up even more in Isolde's eyes. She looked at him, then lowered her head, looking like she was making a big decision.
She turned to Liam and said, "I only see Harold as a brother. We call each other siblings. Please don't get the wrong idea about us, and don't say stuff like that."
This was really pushing Liam's buttons.
He wasn't dumb. Just by looking at Isolde's face, he could tell there was more to their relationship.
"Now that the marriage is over, if you two want to get cozy, do it at home. Why put on a show in front of me? It's gross!"
Liam let go of Harold and clapped his hands hard.
Poor Desiree, wasting so much time on a player like him.
"It's not like that. There's nothing between us. Harold, tell them. Your divorce from Desiree wasn't because of me." Isolde took the chance to stand next to him.
She grabbed Harold's hand, leaning softly against him.
Daryl quickly snapped a photo and sent it to Desiree, then started typing a text message.
Harold shoved Isolde away, not hiding his disgust. "Get lost!"
Considering Ember had once been on the brink of death, he had agreed to let her acknowledge a daughter.
But what did her acknowledged daughter have to do with him?
Isolde kept showing up, trying to make her presence felt, which he was really fed up with, especially now.
She and Daryl were equally annoying. They should be a perfect match, and that would spare him and Desiree from their nuisance.
Seeing Harold's attitude, Liam furrowed his brows slightly, thinking that the disgust in his eyes didn't seem fake.
He pondered, 'Could it be that there really is nothing between Harold and Isolde?'
"Mr. Sandvik, he's just good at acting. Otherwise, he wouldn't have deceived Desiree in the first place. I've caught them coming out of hotels together several times. Now they're putting on a show in front of you," Daryl quickly walked over to Liam and slandered Harold.
Liam thought about what he said and found it reasonable.
Over the years, many young women had tried to throw themselves at him, but his heart was only for Tessa. That's why he never gave those women a chance.
If Harold could do the same, Isolde wouldn't have any hope. How could she waste her efforts on him?
In the end, Harold was pretending to be affectionate while hurting Desiree.
"This is my house. You two get out." Liam pointed towards the door. "I don't want to see you again. If you dare to come back, I'll have security throw you out."
"You're really outrageous. How can you just kick Harold out? You spread nasty rumors about me and Harold online, and now everyone is cursing him. Don't you feel guilty and want to make amends?" Isolde painfully got up and blocked Harold again.
Liam almost thought he was hearing things. He thought, 'How dare they say that? It's clear that the biggest victim here is Desiree, and now they want us to compensate Harold.'
"Get out of the way, don't be a nuisance! Isolde, do you want me to strangle you?" Harold's eyes were bloodshot.
He just wanted to explain things to Liam. But why did these people keep showing up, making things worse?
"Harold, if you want me dead, then just strangle me. I don't care." Isolde lifted her chin, exposing her delicate neck to Harold's hand. A tear rolled down her cheek.
She knew that no matter how angry Harold was, he would never hit a woman, let alone strangle her in public.
Fortune favored the bold. Even if this made him hate her, as long as it could drive a wedge between him and the Sandvik family, it was worth it.
Liam felt like they were putting on a show.
But this was his home, not a TV drama set.
In his anger, Liam kicked at Harold again. "Bastard!"
"If you want to hit someone, hit me. Don't hit him!" Isolde hurriedly rushed over.
The moment Desiree received the text and came out, she saw this scene.
Isolde not only blocked Harold but also pushed Liam.
Seeing Liam unsteady, Desiree hurriedly ran over to help him.
But the distance was too far. She couldn't run that fast. She could only watch as Liam slipped and fell backward.
Fortunately, Daryl caught Liam in time.
Desiree's tense emotions finally relaxed a bit. She helped Liam up from Daryl's hands and thanked him.
Facing Harold, Desiree was filled with disappointment. "Leave. I don't want to see you again."
"Your dad beat Harold like this, it isn't over!" Isolde, of course, wouldn't leave easily.
She righteously accused Desiree, blaming all of Harold's injuries on Liam.
Daryl knew that the most serious injuries were caused by him, but he didn't admit it. Instead, he followed Isolde's words. "He deserved it. I think Mr. Sandvik did the right thing."
"That's intentional harm. We can call the police." Isolde took out her phone to call the police.
Now, Desiree and Harold were the center of public opinion. Even a small incident would cause a stir online.
Moreover, Liam was the company president. Any scandal involving a trip to the police station would undoubtedly tank the company's stock price.
Desiree knew this, and so did Harold. He directly grabbed Isolde's phone and smashed it on the ground. "Enough, stop it!"
"Harold, this is my house. We're already divorced. You brought your lover here without permission. That's trespassing. I can call the police too. Don't think everyone is stupid and can be threatened with a few words." Desiree coldly looked at him.
Harold brought Isolde here, which made Liam angry, and Isolde even tried to push Liam down. These were all facts she saw with her own eyes.
As for Harold's injuries, first, he came to her house voluntarily. Second, these injuries were nothing compared to what she had endured. The child was gone, they both should feel some pain, which was fair for Desiree.
