Chapter 93 Who Is Cousin Oscar
Oscar stayed silent, so Daniel stood up and walked over to him. He then said, "Your current wife was chosen by your grandfather, and she is indeed nice. She is obedient and doesn't mind how many women you have. What's wrong with that? Did she make you unhappy?"
Oscar stayed silent for a moment. "She is obedient and indeed suitable to be my wife."
"Yeah, you're all focused on her now. Don't tell me you don't like her anymore?" Daniel felt something was off about Oscar. Oscar bullied Pearl, but he didn't seem happy about it.
Daniel looked downstairs where Pearl was getting along well with her male colleagues. So he smiled and said, "I think your wife is quite popular. She gets along well with everyone. Didn't you say before that you would divorce her later? After the divorce, many men would probably like her!"
Daniel's words made Oscar furrow his brow even deeper. It was true that Pearl had no trouble getting along with people, and she was very popular.
Oscar's tone grew colder. "You said she would make a good wife, so she's suitable to stay in that position."
After finishing distributing all the water, Pearl was covered in sweat.
She walked with her colleagues toward the company.
"Secretary Pearl, I didn't expect this. Even though you're a girl, you're quite strong and don't do any less work than us!"
They didn't have many chances to interact with Pearl
so they didn't really know her.
Their initial impression of Pearl was that she was cold, weak, and not very strong.
Even when she was with them, she was just arm candy.
But now they truly realized that Pearl was good-tempered and could easily fit in with them.
"Not a big deal, you guys do all the work. I just distributed some water," Pearl said with a smile.
"But we have a different view of you now, Secretary Pearl. Turns out you can smile. You're not as aloof as we thought!" a male colleague teased.
Pearl didn't expect herself to be in this situation and said, "I'm not aloof. It's just that you all haven't had much contact with me. If we have the chance to work together in the future, you'll see that I'm actually timid."
Her words made everyone laugh. Afterward, they went back to their respective areas to rest. Pearl was the only one from the office, so she walked alone toward the higher floors.
"Secretary Pearl, we're leaving now. Take care!" said one of her colleagues.
"Alright, goodbye!" She bid them farewell with a smile and was about to take the elevator.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her arm. Pearl was startled and frightened when she was pulled into the dark stairwell, with a body pressing against her own.
She gasped for breath and her mouth was suddenly covered, as this person forcefully took away her remaining breath.
She grabbed onto the man's sleeve, smelling a familiar scent. She was shocked and slowly stopped struggling.
It was uncertain how long it lasted, but the man finally stopped taking from her.
Pearl was once again drenched in sweat, with the her sweats soaking through her blouse, revealing her figure.
The man forcefully repressed his desires.
The stairwell was dimly lit, with Oscar holding onto her face, cynically saying, "So, this is what you meant by having few male friends? It looks like you're quite good at making friends."
Pearl always displayed a friendly smile towards the man, except when it came to Oscar. She rarely smiled at him, which made Oscar jealous.
Pearl responded, "We're colleagues, should I not talk to them?"
Oscar looked at her, noticing her wet blouse and the visible bra underneath. He squinted again. "Did they all see?"
Pearl didn't understand until Oscar's gaze fixated on her blouse, causing her to instinctively cover her chest with both hands.
"No." She was wearing a jacket at the time, so it wasn't visible. She had intended to take off her jacket just now, but Oscar pulled her over.
"Isn't it a little too late to cover up now?" Oscar sneered, his eyes showing a strong possessiveness as his fingers involuntarily gripped her chest.
Pearl looked at him with his aggressive gaze, the gaze of a man looking at a woman. It was the first time she had ever witnessed it.
She sensed danger and wanted to escape. But Oscar wouldn't let her. He trapped Pearl in a corner that belonged only to him. "Pearl, is this what you meant by having the right to pursue happiness?"
Pearl didn't understand. "What do you mean?"
Oscar pressed his body against hers and then scoffed, "You have quite a few potential men. After divorcing me, you'll immediately want to find a man to marry, right?"
Seeing his hand slowly exploring deeper, Pearl felt a bit scared, so she hunched her body. "I don't think that way, Oscar. Let go first. Let's talk properly. We'll be discovered here!"
Oscar saw Pearl's flushed face, her wet blouse revealing her sexy figure. The thought of all the men that were just with her made him furious. He released her and Pearl instinctively sat on the ground.
Oscar impatiently loosened his tie and looked at Pearl, who had messed up clothes, with desire in his eyes. He said, "If you don't want to be discovered, you should satisfy my lust first!"
Pearl looked up and suddenly noticed Oscar's trousers, causing her cheeks to turn red. If she didn't do this, Oscar wouldn't let her go. Her eyelashes trembled slightly, and then she raised her hand.
--
Half an hour later,
Pearl rushed into the bathroom, washed her face, and rinsed her mouth. She looked at herself in the mirror with messy hair, red lips, and watery eyes.
Oscar was acting strange today, why did he suddenly treat her like this? But he was also terrifying in this state. She didn't even have the opportunity to resist.
Pearl took a while to calm down and tidied her hair, making herself look not too different from usual.
--
Seraphina came out of the hospital and hailed a taxi to go to Brown Group. Oscar hadn't come to visit her since he sent her to the hospital, especially after she found out that the man that night wasn't him. She completely fell apart and wanted to use the child to hold on to Oscar. As long as Oscar didn't know, the child would be his.
She got out of the taxi and bumped into two people. "Sorry," the other person apologized first.
The person who was about to leave suddenly remembered something. She held onto Seraphina and asked, "Do you know how to get to Brown Group?"
Seraphina looked at the building in front and said, "It's right in front of us."
"Thank you!" The person hurriedly continued walking.
Then, Seraphina overheard their conversations.
"Mom, maybe we shouldn't go. What if Cousin Oscar doesn't want to see you? Wouldn't that be embarrassing?" Isabelle expressed some concerns.
Olivia said, "We can't not go. If we don't go, where will our money come from? He is your cousin's husband and the CEO of Brown Group. Just because your cousin lacks a conscience doesn't mean her husband does too!"
This confused Seraphina a bit.
'Cousin? Oscar?
The CEO of Brown Group?
Isn't that Oscar?
How did he become someone's husband?'
She quickly caught up and asked, "Excuse me, you said the CEO of Brown Group is Oscar?"
Olivia turned around. "Yes, yes, yes. Do you know him too?"
Seraphina's face stiffened. "That's impossible."
She looked at Isabelle and then grabbed her hand, chasing after them. She asked urgently, "You said Oscar is your cousin's husband, so who is your cousin then?"
