Chapter 33 Hero
Pearl raised her eyes and met Oscar's gaze, her hands involuntarily gripping the tablecloth tightly.
How could he know?
Oscar's gaze was cold, like a sharp arrow piercing Pearl's heart. "Since you like him so much, why did you marry me?"
His words changed Pearl's expression, her hands gradually loosening the tablecloth, looking somewhat unpleasant. "What?"
Oscar stood up. "Am I not right? The person you like is Magee, but in the end, you married me. He is the hero in your heart, the one you can't forget."
Pearl felt like a bucket of cold water was poured over her.
He didn't know anything.
He had forgotten.
Perhaps she had overthought it. What she thought was a romantic and brave experience might just be a fragment of someone else's life.
It was memorable to her, while is insignificant to Oscar.
She felt a bit sad. What was worth remembering for Oscar?
"Why are you silent?" Oscar, feeling irritated, lifted her chin, "Did I hit a nerve?"
Pearl looked at him, staring into his cold eyes, and asked, "Oscar, do you have a most memorable experience in your heart?"
Oscar looked at her, his expression momentarily distant, with only a vague image of a girl in his mind. However, he shook his head, gripping Pearl's hand tightly. "You haven't answered me yet. Do you really like Magee?"
Pearl said, "Yes, I do like him."
Her word ignited the anger in Oscar's heart.
"But..."
Before Pearl could finish her sentence, Oscar lowered his head and kissed her, unbuttoning her dress, pulling it down to reveal her shoulder.
What Oscar did surprised Pearl. She widened her eyes as Oscar, in a fit of rage, kissed her passionately, his hands gradually moving to her waist.
He then unhooked her bra, pulling it off and tossing it aside. Gently, he fondled her breasts, causing Pearl to involuntarily make a seductive sound.
Oscar placed Pearl on the sofa, pressing himself against her. He breathed heavily, his hand trailing over her neck, then kissing her.
Pearl couldn't help but moan softly, her body still struggling.
His half-exposed chest heaved violently. Pearl felt like she was drowning in his eyes, torn between reason and emotion. Oscar's hoarse voice whispered in her ear, "Don't move."
"Oscar, is there something wrong with the wine?" Pearl thought he couldn't suddenly lose control like this; it must be the wine he drank that was drugged.
She hadn't drunk, so she was fine.
It was only Oscar who was affected.
Oscar gazed deeply into her eyes, his hoarse voice softly asking, "Can I make love with you?"
Seeing her hesitate, Oscar kissed her swollen lips again.
Pearl's voice involuntarily escaped her.
Magdalen outside the door heard every intimate moment clearly. She quietly listened at the door for a while, instructing the staff not to disturb them before leaving satisfied.
Inside the room, the temperature continued to rise, but at that moment, Oscar's phone kept ringing..
Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he picked up the phone, saw the name on the screen, and silenced it.
Oscar remained unfazed, and as he playfully prodded, Pearl began to lose her grip on reason, gradually letting down her guard. Her body turned as soft as water, tingling and devoid of strength.
After making love, Pearl once again collapsed on the sofa, letting Oscar take care of her. He held her and left the hotel, with Pearl too embarrassed to lift her head, hiding in his embrace.
