Chapter 469 Pearl's Whereabouts

Oscar didn't answer right away. After a few seconds, he said, "This is up to Pearl."

Louis ignored him and went over to RavenWing. While RavenWing was unconscious, Louis took off his mask, revealing a long scar. Louis remembered seeing that scar when he was a kid; RavenWing had worn a mask ever since.

Louis gathered all the Eldorian doctors and lab staff. He had one goal: wake RavenWing up ASAP.

Three hours later, RavenWing finally woke up. He could tell his mask was gone.

"Where's Kevin?" RavenWing shouted. He trusted Kevin, but Kevin betrayed him and even took off his mask.

Louis chuckled. "You still want to see Kevin? Is there no one else you can rely on?"

RavenWing saw Louis and relaxed a bit. "Where's Carol?"

Louis laughed. "You mean Kevin's daughter Haley or your real daughter Carol?"

RavenWing got it right away. Kevin had swapped his daughter Carol with Haley.

RavenWing's eyes teared up. "Do you know where Carol is?"

Louis's look said he knew everything. "You've met her," Louis said slowly. RavenWing suddenly realized why Pearl looked so much like Francesca. Pearl was his daughter, Carol!

Memories of young Carol with a lollipop and flowers flashed through RavenWing's mind.

"Dad," Louis called him, making RavenWing feel disoriented.

"Where is she?" RavenWing was desperate. After that fire, he lost Carol. No remains were found, so he believed she was still alive.

Kevin brought back "Carol," and he was thrilled. But "Carol" was sickly and had a bad temper. He was busy with his plans and often left her alone, thinking gifts would make up for it.

But now Louis was saying Carol was someone else, whom he had almost killed.

RavenWing deeply regretted pointing a gun at Pearl.

Louis's smirk grew. "You really handed Eldorians over to Kevin. Pearl was taken into the lab by Kevin and started the rebellion, and you didn't know?"

He didn't believe RavenWing was clueless.

RavenWing had his own experiments and plans, so he didn't care about Kevin's work. He thought Pearl looked like Francesca but didn't think much of it. Why pay attention to someone irrelevant? Besides, Pearl staying with Louis could affect him. If Pearl died, it would be a good thing.

He really didn't see it coming.

RavenWing's throat tightened, unsure of what to say to Louis.

"You're really weak right now. I don't know what drugs Kevin used on you, but you've been in the lab for years. You need to take care of yourself," Louis said, turning to leave.

But Louis hadn't answered about Pearl's whereabouts.

RavenWing's heart sank. "Is she in trouble?"

A sense of unease washed over him.

"Do you remember Jeffery?" Louis paused and turned back to look at RavenWing.

RavenWing's face grew serious. "He was my best creation. Of course, I remember."

Jeffery had been turned into an experimental subject. Although he escaped, RavenWing had been searching for him, but constant wars among the Eldorians limited his efforts.

RavenWing frowned deeply. "Is Jeffery targeting Carol now? What about the imposter Haley?"

"You should be grateful Carol is different from you. When Kevin started the rebellion, Jeffery took Carol and ran."

Now that it was clear Pearl was Carol, Louis's way of addressing her had changed, especially in front of RavenWing.

"Then send more people to find Carol. We must bring her back. I owe her too much," RavenWing said, his voice choked with emotion.

When Kevin brought back "Carol," he thought he could make it up to her after handling his affairs. But now, nothing was more important than Carol.

Louis's voice was cold. "By the time you wake up and tell me this, Pearl will already be in trouble."

With that, Louis turned and left without looking back.

RavenWing didn't speak. His heart felt like a heavy stone was pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe.

Meanwhile, news that Kevin had entered the Allied Forces' camp reached Oscar and Louis.

If Kevin joined forces with the Allied Forces to launch an attack, they would need to prepare for battle.

Pearl was no longer with the Eldorians, and Oscar had no intention of staying there either.

Just as he stepped out of the Eldorians, he got a call from the troops.

"Mr. Brown, two people, a man and a woman, are asking to see you. They say they know you—one named Jeffery and the other named Pearl."

Oscar couldn't wait to interrupt. "Make sure they're safe. I'm coming back right now! Don't let them suffer any harm. They must be hungry; make sure they get something to eat!"

"Yes, sir."

Oscar hung up, not caring about anything else. He only knew he couldn't lose Pearl again.

Meanwhile, Pearl was exhausted from lack of water and constant travel. She collapsed on a cot, and Jeffery stayed by her side.

Jeffery first gave her water, then fed her blood. When Pearl saw the cut on Jeffery's hand, she instinctively resisted.

"Carol, hang in there. You'll feel better soon. My blood will help you."

But as soon as he finished speaking, Adrian appeared at the door.
