Chapter 1013 Seeing Ghosts in Broad Daylight

Billy and Seraphina pulled up to Millie's school in Hugo's car.

"Billy, you sure you don't need my help?" Seraphina asked.

"Nope. This is kid stuff. If you step in, it'll look like we're using adults to bully. Even if we win, it won't be fair."

Billy sat up straight, looking serious, just like his dad, Aaron.

'Billy's definitely Aaron's kid,' Seraphina thought.

The school bell rang, and kids poured out.

"Billy, school's out."

"Yeah," Billy said, getting ready to leave the car.

Seraphina started to get out too.

"Seraphina, stay here. I got this," Billy insisted.

She paused, then decided to let him handle it.

Millie came out in her uniform, followed by some taller boys. One of them kept sneering at her, making the others laugh.

Millie pouted, looking for Billy.

"Millie," Billy called out, walking over with a stern face.

"Billy, you're here!" Millie said, her eyes lighting up.

"Yeah. Which one's Randall?" Billy asked, scanning the boys.

"That's Randall, and those are his friends," Millie pointed out.

Billy looked at Randall seriously. "Are you the one bullying Millie?"

Randall crossed his arms, looking Billy up and down. "Yeah, I'm Randall. You're that kid from Chrisland, right? Heard you said you'd make me see ghosts in daylight. Go ahead, show me."

The boys with him started jeering.

"Ghosts only come out at night. He's lying!"

"Anyone hanging with Millie must be an idiot too."

"Maybe this Chrisland kid's possessed and talking nonsense."

They spoke in the local language, so Millie translated for Billy. "Billy, they're mocking you. What now?"

"Don't worry. I promised you'd see ghosts in daylight, and I will," Billy reassured her, then called out to Randall. "Come here."

"What for?" Randall said arrogantly.

"I said come here. What, scared?" Billy taunted.

Randall snorted and stepped closer. "Fine, I'm coming."

"Lower your head," Billy said seriously.

Randall, taller than Billy, instinctively lowered his head. Billy placed one hand on Randall's forehead, muttering something, and quickly tapped Randall's chest with the other hand.

Randall yelped, clutching his chest and glaring at Billy.

Randall's mouth started drooping, and he began drooling.

Billy's eyes widened. 'This isn't right. He should be disoriented and fall slowly, not look like he's having a stroke. Did I hit the wrong spot?'

In the car, Seraphina was recording everything on her phone. She cringed, realizing Billy had messed up. Should she step in?

Randall, drooling and pointing at Billy, mumbled something. Billy tried to understand. It sounded like, "What did you do to me? It hurts!"

Billy didn't flinch. "This is a sign you're about to see ghosts," he said seriously.

He walked up to Randall again, pretending to fumble around but actually fixing his mistake by re-inserting the needle in the right spot.

Randall felt tightness in his chest and numbness in his limbs, then collapsed.

Billy grinned, relieved. "Randall, still gonna bully Millie? Let's go talk to the Grim Reaper about it!"

The sunlight made Randall squint, and the shadows and amplified sounds around him made him feel like ghosts were closing in. Terrified, he screamed, "Don't take me to hell! Don't take me away!"

Billy squatted down, reaching towards Randall. "Why not? We're just gonna chat with the Grim Reaper. Scared?"

To Randall, Billy's slow movements felt like a countdown to doom. He screamed and fainted.

A crowd had gathered, stunned by what they saw. Randall had really fainted from seeing a "ghost."

Randall's driver, sensing something was wrong, rushed over. "Randall, what happened?"

He was about to touch Randall when Billy sternly said, "Don't touch him."

The driver hesitated, and the boys quickly explained, "This Chrisland kid made Randall see a ghost. He fainted. Don't touch him!"

The driver exclaimed, "Nonsense! How can there be ghosts in daylight?"

Billy, not understanding, asked Millie, "What did he say?"

Millie, sticking close to Billy, nervously said, "He said there can't be ghosts in daylight."

Billy approached the driver slowly. "Wanna find out for yourself?"

The driver, skeptical but cautious, stepped back. "What did you do to Randall? Wake him up now, or you'll face the consequences!"
