Chapter 669 Tell Him the Truth
"Bro, who just called you?" Billy asked, looking inquisitive.
"Uncle Noe." Alex lied.
Billy furrowed his little brows, thought for a moment, and then shook his head firmly.
"No, that's not right. I have sharp ears, and Uncle Noe's voice doesn't sound like that."
Sure enough, Billy was just as smart as he was.
He couldn't fool him.
Alex's eyes flickered, and he changed the subject. "What were you saying earlier? What happened with Aaron?"
Billy's thoughts were pulled back, and he pouted. "Bro, Aaron is so disappointing. I heard Mommy say that he seems to be fooling around with other women behind her back."
Hearing this, Alex squinted his eyes. "Have you heard this yourself?"
"Yeah, Mommy was talking to Samantha's music teacher, and I eavesdropped."
Billy was a bit conflicted.
"Alex, I don't want Mommy to be hurt. Aaron has been unfaithful to her. Do you think we should still let him be our dad?"
That was not true!
The real Aaron would never let Nora be hurt!
Alex was silent for a moment and then asked, "Billy, are you alone in your room right now?"
"Yes."
"Is there anyone around you?"
"No!"
Alex stared at Billy's little face and decided to tell him the truth.
"Billy, I'm going to tell you something, and you must keep it a secret. Don't tell Samantha or Millie."
"What is it?" Billy asked, looking curious.
Alex said, "You said you have sharp ears, so whose voice did you hear just now?"
Billy blinked. "Aaron's voice."
Alex nodded. "So, the real Aaron is with me. The person who looks exactly like Aaron on your side is an imposter."
Hearing this, Billy's eyes widened instantly.
"Alex, what did you say?"
"Keep it down!" Alex made a quiet gesture.
Billy quickly covered his mouth, looked around, and then lowered his voice. "Alex, what's going on?"
Alex said, "I'll explain the details to you later. Just remember, the Aaron on your side is a fake. You need to secretly keep an eye on him for me and Aaron, and protect Mommy and our sisters."
Billy nodded vigorously. "Got it!"
Alex's little face turned serious. "Now, the fake Aaron is ruining the real Aaron's reputation. I need you to teach him a lesson!"
Billy's spirits lifted, and his eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Okay, how do I do that?"
"Like this."
Downstairs, the imposter had arrived.
He greeted Adelbert and Jacob, looking both heroic and courteous, just like the real Aaron.
Nora was playing with Millie and some Legos at the time.
She glanced at the imposter, and when he looked over, she showed no expression and continued playing with Millie.
The imposter sat next to Nora, pretending to be gentle and affectionate.
"Nora, are you playing Legos with Millie?"
He reached out, trying to wrap his arm around Nora's waist.
Nora's eyes flickered, and she casually stood up, avoiding his embrace.
"You must be thirsty. I'll get you some water."
Seeing her speak so gently, the imposter didn't notice anything unusual and responded, feeling a bit smug.
Women are all the same!
They were all hopeless romantics.
He thought it would take a lot of effort to win her over, but with just a few words, she seemed to have moved on from his infidelity.
After all, it was only natural for men to play around with women. Why was Nora being so fussy?
At this moment, Billy came downstairs.
Seeing the imposter sitting on the sofa, he carefully scrutinized him.
Looking at the imposter, who looked exactly like Aaron, Billy was reminded of the resemblence between Alex and him. Billy couldn't help but wonder who this person really was!
"Billy."
Seeing Billy approach, the imposter smiled at him.
Billy walked up to him, pretending to be innocent.
"Aaron, we haven't sparred in a while. How about you practice with me today?"
The imposter was taken aback, his eyes flickering.
What had Aaron been teaching Billy?
He remembered that Aaron had learned quite a few self-defense techniques.
Things like Taekwondo, Judo, and Fencing.
Could he have taught all of these to Nora's kids?
He hadn't learned any of these!
But Billy was so young that even if Aaron had taught them, he could only have learned the basics.
As an adult, he could definitely handle a kid like Billy.
Thinking this, the imposter nodded.
"Alright, I'll practice with you."
"Let's go to the backyard."
Billy turned and walked towards the backyard, a sly glint in his eyes.
Millie, who was playing with Legos, heard Billy say he was going to spar with the imposter and immediately dropped her Legos, running out excitedly to watch.
Nora, carrying a glass of water, raised an eyebrow at the scene and followed them out.
In the backyard, Billy twisted his neck, wrists, and ankles, warming up in a very professional manner.
Then, he took a fighting stance.
"Aaron, come on."
His stance looked quite convincing.
The imposter didn't take Billy seriously at all and said, "Billy, if I accidentally hurt you, you better not cry!"
'We'll see who ends up crying!' Billy rolled his eyes internally, his little face stern. "Enough talk. Throw a punch!"
"Bring it on!"
The imposter stood still, acting like he was giving Billy a few free moves.
Billy clenched his little fists, let out a shout, and charged at the imposter.
He aimed a spinning kick at the imposter.
The imposter quickly dodged to the side.
Billy missed his kick but swiftly turned around, his small fists aiming forcefully at the imposter's abdomen!
Each punch landed solidly!
Though Billy was young, he had been learning skills from Aaron ever since Nora had saved Aaron.
So, after more than half a year, Billy's combat skills were on par with an adult's.
Now, knowing the man in front of him was an imposter, he hit even harder.
The imposter felt like his intestines were being pounded to mush, and he couldn't help but scream in pain.
Billy smirked and quickly withdrew his fists.
But his short leg came around in another sweeping kick.
With a loud thud, the imposter fell heavily to the ground.
Nora and Millie, who were watching, were stunned.
Millie's mouth hung open, and after a moment, she exclaimed, "Billy is amazing! He actually knocked Daddy down!"
Nora, after a brief moment of shock, couldn't help but want to applaud.
Billy was impressive!
Well done, brilliantly done!
However, Billy seemed to be hitting particularly hard today.
Nora's gaze fell on Billy's smirking face.
She didn't miss Billy's subtle expression.
She had a feeling that Billy was doing this on purpose.
Purposely using the imposter for practice!
Billy knew the man in front of him was an imposter.
But how did he know?
She would have to ask Billy about it later.
At this moment, Billy's little chest heaved as he looked down at the imposter lying on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain. Trying to suppress his laughter, he squatted down, pretending to be concerned.
"Dad, are you okay?"
