Chapter 411 Matchmaking
Evella fell to the ground, her shocked eyes fixed on his 'certain part', which slowly grew bigger. As if discovering something new, she screamed in horror.
"Y-you disgusting hooligan! How could you..."
She pointed at Howard's groin area, her eyes rolling back as she didn't know whether she had fainted or fallen asleep.
Howard's face darkened with anger, his forehead veins pulsating.
At this moment, he felt like killing her.
Grinding his teeth, he first put on his pants and then took off the dirty sweater, throwing it into the trash bin.
Seeing the woman lying on the ground, he just wanted to throw her into a pit.
Taking a deep breath, he suppressed the urge to go wild as he squatted down and checked her breath.
Her breath was steady; she must've have passed out from the alcohol.
With a dark face, Howard patted Evella's cheek. "Wake up."
Evella slept soundly, lying motionless on the ground.
He gnashed his teeth and then patted her face a little harder. "Evella, wake up!"
"Mmm, so noisy…" she muttered, hugging his arm like a pillow.
Being pulled by her like this, Howard almost fell on her.
Fortunately, his other hand caught the ground in time.
This damn woman, sleeping like a dead pig and not afraid of being dirty!
He cursed inwardly, glaring at the woman who was sleeping in the restroom as if it were her bedroom. He pushed her hand away, feeling around her pants pocket.
The pocket was empty, with no phone or any means of contact.
He didn't even know who she came here with.
Howard really wanted to leave, but seeing the drunk blush on her cheeks due to alcohol, he sighed deeply and lifted her onto his shoulder.
The Hamilton and Remington families were close.
If he truly abandoned her, what if some immoral man found her? He wouldn't be able to explain it to the Remingtons.
Meanwhile, Frederick was in a corner answering Nora's call.
Nora hadn't seen Evella returning, so she was concerned and asked him about the situation.
He had been standing in the corner and didn't see Evella coming out of the restroom, so he truthfully reported that she was still inside.
At that time, he happened to have his back turned to Howard while calling, so he didn't see Howard carrying Evella away from a short distance.
After hanging up and waiting for a while, Frederick felt like something was off when Evella still hadn't come out. Thus, he walked up to the bathroom and asked a girl who was leaving if Evella was inside. When the girl said there was no one, his expression changed as he quickly reported the incident to Nora.
Nora was startled, hurriedly searching for the hotel manager with Aaron to check the surveillance footage. She discovered that Howard had carried Evella out of the hotel. Astonished, she called him.
At that moment, Howard had already dropped Evella on the carpet of a nearby upscale hotel, rushing to take a hot shower. As a doctor, he had some cleanliness OCD. So when Evella vomited on his clothes, he couldn't stand it and decided to rent a nearby hotel room to clean himself up.
After finishing his shower and feeling revived, he took out his phone and asked his assistant to buy him new clothes. Right after that, he was about to call the Remington family to have them pick Evella up when Nora called.
He answered the phone. "Nora."
"Where are you, Howard?" she asked, probing.
"I'm at a hotel," he answered truthfully.
Nora was surprised and asked, "A hotel? Is Evella with you?"
"Yes. Did she have dinner with you?" he asked.
"Yes, we were. However, she drank too much and insisted on going to the bathroom by herself. How did she run into you and end up there?" Nora's tone carried a hint of teasing.
Howard quickly explained, "Nora, you've got it wrong, I just... I mean..."
He thought about how Evella had vomited all over him, even pulling down his pants. He sounded slightly frustrated as he spoke.
Nora laughed. "Don't worry, Howard. We're all adults here; we understand. Evella just happened to be in a bad mood because she just got through a breakup and needed comfort. With you being a normal man, attraction to her is also normal."
Howard was speechless. "How could I be? She puked all over me; that's why I rented a hotel room to clean myself up. I was just about to call the Remington family to have someone come pick her up."
Nora responded with an "Oh," albeit her tone stretched out as if not entirely convinced.
"Well, then, please take care of her for a little longer. I'll come pick her up after Thomas and I finish our dinner," she continued.
He sighed, scratching his forehead in defeat. "Fine, just hurry up."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Nora looked at the screen and blinked her eyes.
What a coincidence between the two of them.
"If Evella could be with Howard, that wouldn't be bad," Nora commented.
"Did he take her to a hotel?" Aaron asked, overhearing the conversation.
"Yeah. Do you think they'd make a good match, Thomas?" she asked, tilting her head.
He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Are you trying to play matchmaker again?"
She chuckled, "A bit."
He smiled, indulging her as he replied, "If you think they're a good match, then do what you want."
He pampered her far too much!
If she got spoiled, what would happen if she made a big mistake?
At the hotel.
Howard sat on the couch, throwing his phone aside as he smirked.
So, Evella was heartbroken?
No wonder she got drunk to the point of confusion, not even able to differentiate between the men's and women's restroom.
Who'd like a woman like her?
It wasn't just her who was heartbroken; somebody else also was!
Howard secretly mocked before hearing a faint sound nearby.
He turned his head and saw Evella trying to get up from the floor, looking like she was about to vomit.
His eyebrows furrowed, quickly helping her up and taking her to the trash can.
"Take this and vomit here."
Evella felt dizzy but obediently followed his instructions, holding the trash can and puking violently.
After retching and gasping for breath, she tossed it aside.
Howard's eyebrows were furrowed, holding his breath as he waited for her to finish. Seeing her teary, blurry eyes as well as the physical aftermath of vomiting, he shook his head as he grabbed a few tissues and gently wiped her mouth.
Evella sank onto the opulent Persian carpet, her body swaying gently. Blinking her eyes open, she struggled to focus on the figure before her.
In a daze, she eventually recognized him.
Feeling both lightheaded and achy at that moment, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Are you Howard? Have you come to treat me?" she asked, exuding a sweet scent as she slowly lifted her clothes.
"Howard, I'm in so much pain. This area hurts a lot; please help me take a look."
