Chapter 957 Help you Cool Off

Gabriella raised an eyebrow and put her hand on Johnnie's chest.

"You're kinda boring, but you're great in bed. It makes up for your lack of personality."

Johnnie's face darkened. "You see me as just a tool to satisfy your desires?"

Gabriella laughed.

"Come on, aren't you happy when you're inside me?"

She teased his Adam's apple with her fingers.

Johnnie's Adam's apple bobbed. He pulled her hand away. "Boring."

As he walked away, Gabriella grabbed him.

"Why so mad? Want me to help you cool off later?"

Johnnie stared. "How?"

Gabriella smiled seductively. "How do you want me to?"

She pointed to her mouth. "With this?"

Then waved her hand. "Or this?"

Johnnie's gaze deepened. "Gabriella, you're something else."

He kept ignoring her, and Gabriella's smile faded.

"Johnnie, I've been trying to cheer you up. Can't you just let it go?"

Honestly, if he hadn't been so sweet last night, she wouldn't bother.

Johnnie looked at her, thought for a moment, then kept walking.

Ahead, kids were playing with sparklers, laughing and chasing each other.

A boy on a skateboard sped towards them.

"Hey, watch out!"

Gabriella froze, not reacting.

Just as the boy was about to hit her, Johnnie pulled her into his arms.

Listening to his heartbeat, Gabriella smiled.

Looking up at him, she said, "Now that's what a boyfriend should do."

Johnnie let go and said nothing.

Gabriella, used to his silence, saw a store selling sparklers and bought a few.

"Got a lighter?" she asked.

"I don't smoke."

Gabriella's smile faded.

Johnnie went to the store, bought a lighter, and handed it to her.

Her smile returned. "Light it for me."

Johnnie lit one for her.

"And this one too."

With her hands full, she had him light them all.

The sparklers lit up.

Her eyes sparkled as she twirled around Johnnie like a child.

The light made her look innocent and pure.

Johnnie watched quietly, his eyes flickering.

If only Gabriella didn't have ulterior motives, how great would that be?

"Don't just stand there. Record a video for me," Gabriella said.

Johnnie snapped out of it, took out his phone, and started recording.

Gabriella twirled the sparklers, smiling at the camera.

"Honey, do you like me?"

Her smile was radiant. Johnnie looked at the screen, his fingers tightening, but said nothing.

"If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes!"

Gabriella blew a kiss at the camera.

"Johnnie, you like me, right? Well, I like you too!"

The sparklers' light reflected on Gabriella's smiling face until it dimmed. She tossed them aside and ran up to Johnnie.

"Lower your head."

Johnnie looked at her for a moment, then lowered his head slightly. Gabriella stood on tiptoe and kissed him.

Johnnie knew she was going to kiss him again. 'Oh well, consider it as a celebration before we part ways.' He closed his eyes, wrapped his arms around her waist, and kissed back.

Click, the flash went off.

Johnnie opened his eyes to see Gabriella had taken a selfie. She pushed him away, laughing as she looked at the photo.

"Johnnie, you looked so into it!"

Johnnie felt like his heart was being cut by a knife. He was into it, but Gabriella only saw him as a plaything. His throat felt tight. He swallowed hard, trying to suppress the discomfort.

"I need to get back to work. You can wander around a bit more."

Gabriella was stunned. She watched Johnnie walk away and called out, "Where are you going? Mr. Gordon is still over there!"

Johnnie didn't respond and kept walking.

"What's up with Johnnie? Why is he such a buzzkill?" Gabriella muttered, losing her mood for fun. After standing still for a moment, she returned to the shop where Aaron and the others were, but they were gone.

She thought, 'Did they go back? Or somewhere else?' Gabriella took out her phone and sent a message to Aaron.

Gabriella: [Mr. Gordon, did you guys go back?]

Aaron: [Yes.]

Gabriella: [Come out and chat. I'll be waiting in the woods on the south side of the estate.]

Aaron sent back an OK. Gabriella smiled, thought for a moment, and made a call.

On the other side, Aaron was sending Nora and Mateo back. Seeing Gabriella's message, he said to Nora, "You go ahead. I'll meet her."

Nora looked worried. "Don't drink anything she gives you."

She was afraid Gabriella might drug him.

"Don't worry, I'm not stupid," Aaron reassured her. He wasn't stupid, but bad people were hard to guard against.

Nora thought to herself, "I'll have Frederick keep an eye on you two."

Aaron wanted to say it wasn't necessary, but seeing her worried expression, he didn't refuse.

"Alright, whatever you say."

He glanced at Mateo. "Make sure Nora gets back safely."

Mateo smiled charmingly. "It's still early. I'll take Nora to my room for a chat and wait for you to come back."

He said it suggestively. Aaron gave him a look and said indifferently, "I told you to go fix your brain. You better take it seriously."

Mateo said, "Got it. I'll have Nora fix my brain in my room."

Aaron was speechless. Mateo's smile widened at Aaron's expression.

"Nora, let's go."

Nora chuckled. "We'll head back first."

Aaron reluctantly nodded, watching Mateo and Nora leave before turning towards the woods.

The evening breeze, whispering through the leaves, lifted Gabriella's skirt as she waited at the edge of the woods. Her silhouette, bathed in the soft twilight, held the quiet allure of a woman on the cusp of a rendezvous.
