Chapter 572 Matchmaker
"Nora, what are you thinking about?" Sandy glanced at her, curious.
"I want to be a matchmaker," Nora blurted out.
Sandy was taken aback, asking, "What? What did you say?"
Nora snapped out of it and laughed. "Sandy, I seem to enjoy the feeling of being a matchmaker. Look, Archer, Howard, and Evella, it seems like their major life events are somewhat related to me."
Upon hearing this, Sandy smiled and said, "Indeed."
Nora smiled and pointed to the bathroom, whispering, "So, do you think I can pair those two in there together?"
Sandy nodded. "I think you can."
Nora blinked, saying, "Sandy, do you really think I can?"
Sandy replied, "Nora, what do you want to say? Are you asking me if I still have feeling for Zephyr?"
Nora smiled without saying a word.
She did have such thoughts, but it was just a passing thought.
She believed Sandy wasn't that kind of person.
Sandy lowered her head, her hand gently touching her abdomen.
She said, "Nora, right now, I just want to give birth to the baby safely. As for the future, I'm a Jinx, wanting to spend the rest of my life alone."
She mentioned Jinx again.
Nora was displeased with her words, saying, "Sandy, I won't allow you to speak of yourself like that. Think about it: since you arrived, hasn't everything improved here? Even if you've had unfortunate experiences, everything is better now, isn't it?"
Upon hearing this, Sandy smiled faintly and remained silent.
The reason everything had improved was because of Nora's presence.
She truly liked Nora, who was beautiful, kind, and intelligent.
At that moment, a voice came from the bathroom. "Dr. Hamilton, are you still there?"
It was Jane calling for her.
Nora snapped back to reality and hurried to the door, saying, "I'm here. What's up?"
"Could you help me call two female medical staff in?" Jane asked.
Nora blinked, asking, "What's wrong? Isn't Dr. Wright in there?"
Jane replied, "I'm not comfortable with male doctors touching me. Could you help me call two female medical staff members?"
Before Nora could speak, Zephyr's voice came from inside." Jane, isn't it too late for all this? I told you when you were unconscious..."
"Shut up!" Jane said.
He said, "Sorry, my mouth is meant for talking."
These two started bickering again!
Nora glanced at Sandy, didn't say a word, and stood outside eavesdropping.
Inside the bathroom, Zephyr lifted the person sitting on the toilet.
Then, in Jane's annoyed expression, he helped her pull up her pants and lifted her again.
Jane was embarrassed and annoyed. "I don't need you to carry me. Put me down!"
Zephyr said, "Do you think I want to carry you? I don't want to redo your bandages and see your body again."
"You..." she was speechless.
"Can your hands move? If your hands can move, then open the door yourself!" he said.
Zephyr carried the person to the door and said coldly, "Open the door yourself!"
Jane, with a cold face, refused angrily.
"Jane, do you believe I'll just drop you?" Zephyr sneered.
"Do you wanna try?" Jane said.
Outside, Nora heard everything clearly and felt like laughing a bit.
The door was closed from the inside, so Zephyr couldn't open it while carrying a patient.
Afraid he might actually drop Jane, Nora quickly offered, "Dr. Wright, do you want me to help you open the door?"
"Well." Zephyr took a step back.
Nora opened the door and pushed it open.
The two seemed displeased with each other.
Zephyr glanced at her, nodded, and then put Jane on the bed.
Jane covered herself with the blanket and pursed her lips tightly as if trying to suppress her anger.
Zephyr didn't say anything, preparing to administer the IV again.
Jane, seeing him take out the syringe, finally spoke up, "Dr. Hamilton, could you come and help me with the IV?"
Nora regretted not leaving immediately and watching the scene.
She chuckled awkwardly and was about to walk over.
Zephyr said, "Dr. Hamilton, we're out of cotton swabs. Could you go get some for me?"
Nora didn't know if he was being deliberate or if they really ran out of cotton swabs.
But she was eager to leave right away.
Nora replied, "Sure, I'll go get them right away."
Saying that, she blinked at Sandy.
Sandy understood and said, "I'll go with you."
"Okay," Nora said.
The two walked towards the door.
Jane opened her mouth but couldn't say anything.
Zephyr was ready to start the IV.
He glanced at Jane and, regardless of her willingness, grabbed her hand.
Jane tried to resist the urge to shake off his hand and said, "I told you, I want Dr. Hamilton to do the IV for me."
The needle had already pierced her vein.
"You don't have the right to choose. As long as you're here, you have to listen to me every day," Zephyr said firmly, ready to confront this stubborn woman.
He was determined to make her submit!
Jane was very angry, her chest heaving, her hand unconsciously clenched.
Zephyr said, "If you don't want to suffer again, control your temper."
Jane closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and slowly relaxed her hand.
She gave in.
Zephyr smirked and began the treatment.
Jane felt the needle sting painfully this time.
She furrowed her brows, opened her eyes, and glared at Zephyr.
After completing all the steps, Zephyr glanced at her.
"What are you looking at? Does it hurt a lot?" Jane didn't say anything, but her expression confirmed Zephyr's words.
Zephyr was very pleased.
"I'm telling you, I did it on purpose," he said.
Then he turned and left.
Jane pursed her lips, her eyes almost spitting fire.
Zephyr reached the door, then turned back, saying, "Let me remind you again, control your temper. If the needle goes off again, you'll suffer. And the one who will come to do this for you again will be me!"
Jane tensed her face, her chest heaving.
She glanced at the back of her hand, closed her eyes, and forcefully suppressed her anger.
'Don't get angry!'
'Stay calm!'
'He's my lifesaver.'
'I should't have argued with him!'
Outside, Nora walked slowly with the cotton swab box, teasing, "Dr. Wright, is the patient's training session over?"
Zephyr shook his head and said, "I've never seen such a stubborn patient before. But no matter how stubborn she is, I'll make her obedient."
Nora thought, 'He wants to make her obedient!'
'Wouldn't that completely offend Jane?'
Nora joked, "Dr. Wright, she's a girl, be gentle."
Zephyr shrugged. "Do you think she looks like a girl? I think she's more manly than men! This woman is definitely not easy to deal with; she's probably the gangster boss."
The soundproofing in the village house wasn't good.
The voices of the two chatting weren't low, so Jane inside the house heard Zephyr's evaluation of her.
She rolled her eyes and thought, 'You're the gangster! Your whole family are all gangsters!'
