Chapter 557 Just a Vessel

Zephyr quickly walked over and squatted down.

He suggested, "Let me wash them."

Sandy was stunned and said, "No need, I'm almost done."

"You're still pregnant. Don't overexert yourself. Let me do it," Zephyr said as he tried to take off Sandy's gloves.

Sandy insisted, "Really, it's okay."

Zephyr said, "It's fine."

They argued, and the gloves accidentally fell into the water, being carried away by the current. Both of them were stunned.

Sandy looked at Zephyr helplessly, then at the remaining clothes.

She relented, "All right, you can wash the rest."

The remaining clothes were the ones with feces. If he insisted on washing them, let him wash them. Sandy picked up the washed clothes and left.

Zephyr watched her leave without saying a word. He looked at the remaining clothes and frowned. Taking a deep breath, he started washing the clothes. It was okay; he could wash his hands thoroughly afterward!

Sandy returned to Juliet's house and hung up the washed clothes. Not long after, Zephyr returned.

Sandy asked, "Are you done?"

Zephyr replied, "Yes."

"Did you wash all the feces off the clothes?" Sandy asked on purpose.

To be honest, doctors tend to have a bit of a cleanliness obsession. Zephyr thought about his hands washing clothes with feces and felt a little uncomfortable. But he couldn't show it in front of the person he liked.

Zephyr replied, "Yes, they're all clean."

He handed the clean clothes to Sandy. Sandy took them and looked at him, barely suppressing her laughter.

After all, they had been close lovers before, and she understood his character. Since he insisted on staying here, she decided to make him do the dirty and tiring work until he couldn't stand it and left.

Sandy hung up the rest of the clothes and went home to cook for Juliet. While she was busy, Nora arrived.

Nora called out to her, "Sandy."

Hearing the call, Sandy was surprised.

Sandy asked, "Nora, why are you here again?"

Nora smiled, and replied, "Yes, I'll be visiting you often from now on."

Sandy said, "Nora, I'm fine here. You really don't need to visit so often."

Nora said, "I misspoke. Sandy, don't misunderstand. I'm not here to see you. I'm here to see my nephew."

Sandy was about to say something when a few people came in from outside. Two of them were middle-aged women in their forties, hired by Aaron as nannies.

They had over ten years of experience caring for pregnant women, and Aaron offered them ten thousand dollars a month. This was quite expensive.

In addition to these two, several bodyguards in black were bringing in fresh ingredients and daily necessities. The old lady of the house came out of her room, stunned by the sight of so many things.

The old lady asked, "Who are you people? Why are you bringing so many things?"

Hearing this, Nora smiled, "Grandma, Sandy will be staying here for a few more months. Please take care of her. These freshly airlifted items are for you and her."

The old lady had lived in the fishing village all her life and had limited exposure. Besides the fresh ingredients, she was amazed and curious about the various high-end daily necessities.

She touched a heater and asked, "What is this?"

"This is a heater. You no longer have to worry about the cold weather. I'll install one in your room too," Nora smiled.

The old lady added, "And this?"

Nora explained, "This is a hairdryer, for drying hair."

The old lady continued, "And this?"

The old lady kept asking curiously. Nora patiently explained a few things before being pulled aside by Sandy.

Sandy asked, "Nora, what are you doing?"

Nora said, "Since you refuse to come back, Mom and Dad asked me to send people to take care of your daily needs."

Sandy said, "It's not necessary. I can take care of myself."

Nora looked at her and said, "You're overthinking. We're not worried about you; we're worried about the baby in your belly. Right now, you're just like a vessel."

Sandy was speechless. She knew Nora said this on purpose to prevent her from feeling guilty. Looking around at the luxurious items, she felt warmth in her heart.

The Hamilton family must have spent a lot of money. Wealthy people were indeed generous. Of course, not all wealthy people would do this.

The Hamilton family treated her as family, making her feel the warmth of kinship.

Suddenly, she felt an urge to go back with Nora and stay by Kenneth's side forever. But in the end, she dismissed the thought.

She was really afraid. She feared bringing disaster to the Hamilton family again. They were all good people, and she couldn't let them get hurt again!

Determined, Sandy let them do as they pleased.

"Ms. Hamilton, the medical team has arrived," a bodyguard reported.

Nora excitedly said, "Sandy, let's go see."

Sandy asked in confusion, "What medical team?"

Nora smiled, and replied, "A group of medical staff has arrived. You won't have to work so hard anymore."

Sandy, arm in arm with Nora, walked out to see a dozen medical staff and a truckload of medical supplies.

At the same time, a car drove up, and three or four people got out. One of them, tall and handsome, was Aaron. Accompanying him were the mayor, Blaze Perkins, and others. Sandy was stunned.

Sandy asked, "Nora, did you arrange this too?"

Nora smiled, "No, Aaron did."

She looked at the man walking toward her with affection. Aaron either did nothing or did his best. While arranging things for Sandy, he also started a charitable project.

He planned to build infrastructure here, including roads and communication facilities. That's why Blaze was accompanying him to inspect the fishing village.

Sandy said, "Mr. Gordon, thank you."

Sandy didn't know what to say to Aaron, so she could only express her gratitude.

"You're welcome. It's my duty to ease Nora's worries," Aaron said, looking at Nora with affection.

Sandy smiled. This man was really good with words. Handsome, good at making women happy, and deeply affectionate. He truly deserved the beautiful, smart, and kind Nora.
