Chapter 375 Mr. Gordon is Envious
Edric understood in his heart that they were taking advantage of Nora's lead.
Fabio, who noticed Nora looking somewhat embarrassed, asked, "Ms. Smith, will Mr. Gordon be coming?"
"He'll be here soon," Edric replied on behalf of Nora.
Fabio nodded and said, "Enjoy yourselves."
"Great," Edric and Fabio exchanged nods before following the staff into a private room.
The private room was spacious and equipped with various entertainment facilities. After everyone sat down, two female hostesses in formal dresses walked in. The two women had graceful figures, exuding the charm of classical elegance.
Jenny furrowed her eyebrows and glanced at Edric. "Did you call for the female hostesses?" she asked, disapprovingly.
She knew that many men would take business meetings as opportunities to fool around with women in the club.
Normally, she would look the other way, but today, she assumed Edric invited the female hostesses in front of her and Nora. Suspecting him to be used to this kind of activity! She mentally accused how audacious he was!
Edric was taken aback and quickly denied, "I didn't call for them."
Speaking of which, he looked at the hostesses. "Who invited you here?"
One of the hostesses gave a slight smile. "It was Mr. Turner who asked us to serve your distinguished guests," the hostess replied.
She had a good temperament and didn't look like an ordinary hostess. Her speech and manner were elegant and graceful.
Edric knew that even at high-end clubs, there were different levels of hostesses. These two were top-notch.
They had been trained well and wouldn't sell their bodies. They were there to accompany high-class clients for conversations.
"So it was Mr. Turner's kindness. Please take care of my distinguished guests." Edric played along.
The two hostesses responded and then sat next to Kevin, starting to pour red wine for him.
Their words and actions were not frivolous. Kevin enjoyed their service and appeared satisfied.
"Mr. Kevin, would you like us to sing a song for you?" one of the hostesses asked with a smile.
Kevin waved his hand dismissively, and asked, "Ms. Smith, can our entertainment activities begin?" He was waiting for Nora to treat his headache.
Nora looked at Edric, and asked, "Edric, as the host, may we start?"
She had yet to receive the items she needed for the performance. How could she start?
Edric's efficiency was too slow!
"Just wait a moment!" Edric understood Nora's meaning and took out his phone to call his assistant.
At that moment, the assistant knocked on the door and entered, delivering the items just in time.
Edric breathed a sigh of relief and handed the things to Nora and said, "We can start now."
Nora gestured for the two hostesses to step aside and turn off the music while she took out her treatment kit.
Kevin's assistant looked at the long medical equipment nervously. The assistant wanted to oppose the treatment in fear of his boss' safety, and said, "Mr. Kevin, this..."
They needed to be more familiar with who Ms. Smith was. It was risky to let her treat his headache so casually. What if something went wrong?
"It's all right; I trust her," Kevin said with a smile, understanding the assistant's concern.
The assistant could only step aside, staring at the medical equipment in Nora's hands without blinking.
Nora laid out the treatment kit in a row, saying to Kevin, "Mr. Kevin, there might be some tingling sensation at the beginning, but it will pass."
Kevin nodded, still thinking about music therapy. "Shouldn't we start with some music, Ms. Smith?" he asked.
Nora smiled and said, "Wait a moment." With that, she began treating several important pressure points on Kevin's head.
The assistant watched as the long therapeutic equipment pierced into his boss's scalp, feeling a lump in his throat, fearing that something might go wrong.
Fortunately, his boss seemed calm, and there was nothing unusual.
After finishing the treatment, Nora said, "Okay."
Kevin felt a warm sensation spreading from the pressure points on his head.
"Is that it?" he asked, curiously.
"Yeah, you still have to wait for another twenty minutes, now relax and enjoy an interesting music and dance performance," Nora said.
Kevin chuckled and replied, "I look forward to your performance."
"Mr. Kevin, if the performance is to your satisfaction, please don't forget your promise," Nora reminded.
"No problem," Kevin replied with a smile.
Nora smiled back, then gestured to Jenny. Jenny, on the other hand, had just finished stretching and was waiting for Nora's instructions.
Nora took out a harmonica and some leaves and then started playing. She played a song called "The Hawthorn Tree."
The melodious music filled the air as Jenny started dancing along to the music. Colorful lights shone on the two of them, their movements synchronized and harmonized.
The whole room was quiet, and everyone's attention was fixed on them both. The music flowed softly, as if in a trance, transported the people to a fairyland. Nora and Jenny were like earthly fairies, bringing countless warmth and tranquility.
As Kevin watched and listened, he went from surprise to admiration, and then he became lost in thought. He didn't know why, but his eyelids slowly grew heavy until they involuntarily closed.
Before closing his eyes, he mused, 'Ms. Smith is truly a remarkable woman. This music is divine. '
Nora alternated between playing the harmonica and using the leaves as whistle instruments. With her eyes closed, she also relived the past through the music. Although she did not have a great childhood, most of her memories from back then were innocent ones.
Outside the door, Aaron had just arrived after coming from a social event. He heard the unique performance coming from inside, and his eyes flickered with surprise.
Who was playing the music?
In this restless world, the melody was like a pristine stream, refreshing and soothing to the heart and soul.
'The person playing must be a refined and elegant individual,' Aaron thought as he pushed the door to the private room open.
What he saw was Jenny dancing and Nora playing with her eyes closed. Aaron's eyes flashed with surprise; he hadn't expected Nora to have such talent.
Indeed, one can judge a person's character by their taste in music. His woman was indeed refined and elegant.
As the song ended, Nora opened her eyes. Jenny stopped dancing, walking up to Nora with light and graceful steps, giving her a high-five.
The two exchanged a smile with an unspoken understanding and connection.
Edric's gaze was fixed on Jenny. Despite never seeing her dance before, he couldn't help but want to give praise and applaud her.
"Well done!" Edric clapped and cheered.
"Hush, be quiet!" Jenny noticed that Kevin had fallen asleep and quickly signaled Edric to be silent.
Edric also noticed and had a mixed feeling, wondering, 'How could he fall asleep like this? Was it because he was bored or because of the treatment?'
"Nora, I never would have guessed that you have this kind of talent!" Aaron walked over to Nora and sat down, picking up the leaf and playing with it casually.
Nora curved her lips into a smirk, "My brother taught me how to use wind instruments, but my skills are just average at it. My brother does it better."
Aaron's smile froze on his face, "Jack taught you?"
Nora replied, "Yes."
Aaron's aura gradually turned cold, getting slightly agitated by the leaf's texture as he held it in his hand. He threw the leaf into the trash can and wiped his hands with a tissue.
Jenny, who was on the side, saw this and deliberately remarked, "Mr. Gordon, are you jealous of my brother? Let me tell you, when my brother was a child, I used to play with him, and he would often..."
"We're not old yet; let's not reminisce." Aaron interrupted her, his aura becoming even colder.
There was no need to say more; what else would children do when they're playing "house"?
Of course, they pretended to be the bride and groom. Who the hell came up with such a childish game?
