Howard's eyes flickered slightly, glancing at Evella subconsciously.
Evella nibbled her red lips lightly, saying shyly. "Grandma, I am not going to marry him! Talk to you later; I'm hanging up."
Watching her hang up eagerly, Howard chuckled softly and asked, "Are you shy?"
"I'm not feeling shy," Evella denied.
"Not feeling shy? Then why is your face turning red?"
"I'm feeling hot; take off your coat."
Blushing, Evella took off the coat and handed it back to Howard.
Howard chuckled lightly, about to speak when his stomach growled again.
He paused his laughter, clutching his stomach.
This time, it was real; his stomach was protesting again!
"Alright, let's head down quickly," Evella said hurriedly.
"Are you feeling sorry for me?" Howard's mood was quite good.
Evella glared at him, saying, "You mustn't be too hungry if you're still able to talk nonsense to me."
Howard said with a smile, "No matter how hungry I am, I'll still chat with you. Otherwise, in the pitch-black silence around us, you might feel scared."
With Howard's words, Evella glanced at the swaying shadows of the trees, her heart skipping a beat, reaching out to pinch his arm.
"Are you trying to scare me again?" she asked.
Howard held her hand, saying with a smile, "How could I scare you?"
Evella pouted and said, "You definitely are!"
Howard nodded. "Alright, if you say so."
"Should I accompany you to the hospital now?"
"No, Just accompany me to eat something."
At the Hamilton family mansion, Nora sat on the bed, engrossed in her medical books for a while, but she didn't hear Howard come back
After some thought, she messaged him.
Nora: [Howard, have you found Evella?]
Not long after, Howard sent a photo. It was a picture of him and Evella dining at a restaurant.
Nora blinked, sending a few question marks back.
Soon, Howard replied.
Howard: [My girlfriend is having supper with me.]

Why did Nora feel like Howard was showing off to her?
It seemed like things were progressing well between Howard and Evella!
Nora couldn't help but think of Richard, a hint of interest flashing in her eyes.
She wondered about Richard, who had suddenly become so attentive to Evella. What kind of person was he?
She decided to have Alex look into Richard's background.
The next morning, Nora saw Howard at the breakfast table.
Howard looked radiant.
Nora said, "Morning, Howard."
"Have some milk," Howard said and pushed a glass of milk in Nora's direction.
Nora sat across from him, scrutinizing him.
She said, "You seem to be in good spirits. It looks like you and Evella are getting along well."
"It's okay," Howard smirked.
Nora asked, "So, where did you find Evella last night, and what did you two talk about?"
Howard took a sip of coffee and glanced at her, saying, "Nora, has Aaron ever taken you to see a meteor shower?"
Nora blinked and replied, "No."
With a touch of pride, Howard said, "Aaron isn't romantic enough! I took Evella to see the meteor shower last night."
Nora was speechless.
Howard was really showing off!
"It seems like your relationship has progressed further, right?" Nora said.
Howard said, "Of course."
They had become a real couple, and from now on, Howard could kiss Evella. This clearly signified that their relationship had taken a significant leap forward!
"What about Richard? Did he say anything? Does he also like Evella?" Nora mentioned Richard deliberately.
Howard felt a flash of anger cross his face as he thought of Richard trying to get Evella to break up with him.
He said, "If Richard dares to have any ideas about Evella, I won't let him off!"
Meanwhile, Richard had already gone to the Remington family early in the morning.
Maisie was initially puzzled, not knowing who he was and why he was visiting her.
Upon learning that Richard was Evella's uncle, Maisie's face darkened. She said, "It was Zack Rogers who ruined my daughter; where is Zack? Tell him to come see me!"
Seeing Maisie getting angry, Evella quickly said, "Grandma, don't get upset; let him finish speaking."
Richard hesitated for a moment, then knelt in front of Maisie and said, "Mrs. Remington, Zack is dead; I apologize on his behalf. After I finish speaking, you can do whatever you want; I won't say a word."
After telling the truth about what happened back then, Richard knelt straight in front of Maisie.
"Enough, this has nothing to do with you; get up," she sighed and said.
It seemed that Zack was not as evil as she thought.

It was just a pity for her daughter Elizabeth, whose life was ruined like this.
"Uncle Richard, please sit down," Evella asked Richard to sit down and handed him a glass of water.
Richard took the glass, giving Evella an affectionate smile.
He said, "Thank you for your generosity, Mrs.Remington."
Maisie waved her hand, changing the subject. "Have you and Evella done a DNA test?"
"Yes. Here is the test report." Richard showed the test report to Maisie.
After reading it, Maisie sighed again and said, "Evella is so pathetic; her fate has been so tumultuous since childhood."
Richard glanced at Evella and said, "Mrs.Remington, rest assured, as her uncle, I will take good care of Evella and not let her suffer any grievances in the future."
Upon hearing this, Maisie looked relieved and said, "With your words, I can rest a bit easier. If she marries Howard in the future and get bullied by the Hamilton family, at least you'll be there for her."
Richard added, "Mrs.Remington, Evella and Dr. Hamilton are just pretending to be a couple. Evella is still young, and since she doesn't want to marry early, let's not force her into blind dates. Let things happen naturally. Rest assured, I will find a man who loves and cherishes Evella, treating her like a treasure."
Maisie was taken aback and looked at Evella, asking, "Evella, are you and Howard just pretending to be a couple?"
Evella's gaze flickered, biting her red lips, lowering her eyelashes in guilt.
She said, "Originally, we were indeed pretending to be a couple, but last night, Howard confessed to me."
Maisie narrowed her eyes, asking, "So, what is your relationship now?"
Richard said, "Evella, even if Howard confessed, you don't have to pay him any attention if you don't like him."
Evella lowered her head even more and said, "I think he's not bad; we can try dating."
Richard was impressed.
In just one night, Evella had changed her mind!
Howard was quite capable!
Maisie was quite satisfied, saying, "When I called last night, was he confessing to you?"
