Chapter 829 Didn't Want You Anymore

"Yes, Mr. Rochet, she is indeed your granddaughter, Millie," Nathan replied.

Diego nodded and looked at Hugo. "Hugo, we owe you a great deal for bringing back Stov's child."

Hugo responded, "Uncle Diego, you're too kind. Stov and I were very close when he was alive. His death pained me greatly, and I couldn't let his only child be lost."

Diego nodded, a flicker of cold fury in his eyes.

"Yes, especially not to Stov's enemies," he added, his voice low and dangerous. "My granddaughter will not be raised by those who sought to destroy him."

Mia, standing nearby, glared at Millie on the bed, her eyes also full of resentment.

"But she still has that vile woman's blood in her. Stov's death is partly because of that vile woman. I hate those Chrisland people, and I don't like this granddaughter either!"

Diego turned to Mia. "Shut up. No matter what, Millie is Stov's child. Besides, there are other uses for bringing her back!"

After speaking, he instinctively glanced at Hugo.

Hugo said, "Millie is Stov's offspring, which makes her like a daughter to me. Now that she's back, she'll be fostered under my name."

Diego asked, "Did Aisha Khan agree?"

"Of course."

Hugo's expression turned a bit displeased. "She can't have children, and I can't let my lineage end."

Diego nodded, and his gaze fell on the sleeping Millie.

"My granddaughter is back. They must be frantically searching for her now. I wonder if they have the ability to find this place."

Hugo said, "Uncle Diego, don't underestimate them, especially Aaron and Nora. I believe it won't be long before they find us."

Hearing this, Diego snorted coldly, "No matter how capable they are, they wouldn't dare forcibly take my granddaughter. Millie is Stov's child; they have no legitimate right to take her."

Hugo nodded. "You're right. But to be safe, I've invited Marco Ferrari to come over as a witness. Marco is the governor here, representing the government. With the government involved, they wouldn't dare act rashly."

Just then, Nathan said, "Mr. Rochet, Millie is waking up."

Everyone looked over to see Millie's eyelashes fluttering before she slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing several strangers around her bed, she slowly got up, her eyes still a bit dazed from sleep.

"My granddaughter, you're awake?"

Diego said in Hchilia.

Millie stared blankly at him, then looked at Nathan. She seemed frightened and reached out to Nathan.

"Nathan, hold me!"

Nathan glanced at Hugo, and seeing Hugo nod, he reached out and picked her up.

Millie clung tightly to Nathan's neck, her confused eyes gradually becoming clear.

"Nathan, who are they? Where's Mommy? I want Mommy!"

Millie remembered Nathan saying that Nora had come to pick her up early, so she followed him out of ArtVista Kids Art Academy and got into a car.

Nathan said he would take her to find Nora and gave her some water to drink.

Then Millie felt very sleepy.

Now that she was awake, she didn't see Nora but saw these strangers.

'Who were they?'

'Mommy's guests?'

'Why were they all looking at me?'

"Millie, come down first, and I'll introduce them to you."

Nathan put Millie on the ground and began to introduce her.

"This is your grandfather, this is your grandmother, this is your uncle, and this is your real home."

Millie looked up, staring blankly at them.

She had learned about grandparents and knew what they meant.

Suddenly, some past memories flashed through Millie's mind.

In a large castle, she lived with Emmeline and Stov.

Stov's return was always a celebration for her. He'd sweep her up in his arms, spinning her around with laughter, and they'd play for hours, building forts, reading stories, or just giggling over silly jokes.

But then Stov died.

Emmeline also said Stov wasn't her father.

The lost memories came flooding back.

Millie's eyes gradually turned red.

"I want Mommy, I want Daddy!"

She remembered Stov and Emmeline had died.

She missed Nora and Aaron!

"You're crying? Aaron and Nora killed your father, and you recognize your father's murderers as your parents!"

Mia glared at her and scolded.

Millie shrank back from her scolding and then burst into tears.

"I want Mommy, Billy, where are you, Billy, Samantha, Mommy, Daddy, come quickly!"

Millie's mind was in chaos; she just wanted to find the people closest to her.

"You old hag, get out of here right now!"

Diego, seeing Mia make Millie cry, glared at her and cursed.

Mia snorted, glared at Millie hatefully, and then turned and left the room.

Hugo looked at the crying Millie and said to Nathan, "Calm her down."

"Yes."

Nathan squatted down and wiped Millie's tears.

"Millie, don't cry. I'll stay with you from now on."

Millie sniffled and looked at him. "Mr. Gray, take me home. I want Mommy, I want to find Billy."

Nathan said, "Millie, that's not your home. From now on, you'll live here. This is your real home."

Millie, with tears in her eyes, looked at him and then burst into tears again.

"I don't want to live here. I want to find Mommy, I want to find Billy, I want to go home!"

Millie didn't understand why Nora and Billy were gone when she woke up!

Even though she wasn't Nora's biological child, Millie had already considered Nora's home as her own!

She didn't want to live here; she wanted to go back to Nora's home!

"Millie, behave !"

"I don't want to behave. I want to find Mommy! Mommy, Billy, don't you want Millie anymore?"

Millie shouted loudly.

Nathan gripped her shoulders tightly. "Yes, they don't want you anymore. You belong here; they abandoned you!"

Millie, with tears streaming down her face, looked at him and shook her head desperately.

"You're lying. Mommy and Billy would never abandon me. You're a bad person. I want to find Mommy and Billy!"

Saying this, she pushed Nathan away and ran towards the door.

Nathan, who was squatting, was pushed by Millie and fell to the ground.

Hugo quickly grabbed Millie.

"Alright, stop crying. I'll let him take you to find your Mommy, okay?"

Millie's crying stopped abruptly, and she looked at Hugo with tearful eyes.

"Really, Uncle? You'll take me to find Mommy, right?"

"Yes, I'll have Nathan take you to find them."

Hugo paused, "But before that, you need to wash up. Otherwise, you'll be too dirty, and your Mommy won't like it, right?"

After speaking, he looked at Nathan and said, "Take her home first and have Aisha help her clean up."
