Chapter 446 Dreaming
The secretary scoffed, "Who said they couldn't leave as soon as they got here? Olivia, you keep referring to the Mrs as 'Nora' as if you're very acquainted with her. If you're that close to her, why not simply give her a call and inquire about her whereabouts??"
Olivia choked, her gaze flickered for a moment.
She could say she didn't have Nora's phone number.
"Olivia, why aren't you saying anything? Don't you have Mrs. Nora's number?"
The smart secretary immediately figured out the problem.
Seeing Olivia's displeased face, she scoffed and mocked, "I've seen people who overestimate themselves, but I've never seen a girl as overconfident and shameless as you."
Being ridiculed by the secretary, Olivia was furious and yelled, "What did you say? Say it again!"
The secretary didn't back down, "I said it, so what! Mr. Gordon clearly doesn't want anything to do with you. Don't you look in the mirror? As Ms.Quinn said, you have no face or body to be confident about. Where do you get the confidence to think Mr. Gordon would pay attention to you?"
The secretary had become a Nora fanatic.
She thought that only a woman as warm and beautiful as Nora could suit their CEO.
This Olivia should find a place to cool down!
"You, say it again and see if I won't make it impossible for you to stay in this company!" Olivia threatened angrily.
The secretary sneered, "Oh, I'm so scared! If you have the ability, let Mr. Gordon fire me!"
"You..."
Olivia stomped her foot in anger, and after a while, she threatened again, "Just you wait!"
Once she climbed onto Aaron's bed, she would make sure Aaron fired this annoying secretary immediately!
Watching Olivia leave in anger, the secretary scoffed, "Dream on, wishful thinking!"
She really didn't know how the lady of the house could be associated with someone like Olivia.
Hmm, she had to keep an eye on Olivia for the lady and make sure she didn't get close to Mr. Gordon.
Meanwhile, Nora, who had gained one more fan, followed Aaron to the PR department.
Before Aaron came, he specifically asked Noe to inquire about the PR department manager.
He knew that Baldwin and Betsy had their final photo shoot today.
After completing today's ad, their schedule here would temporarily come to an end.
The company had a dedicated photography studio, so as long as the two were present, they could start shooting the advertisements at any time.
When Nora and Aaron arrived at the studio, they saw Baldwin and Betsy in the middle of a shoot.
In front of a white backdrop, the lights were bright.
Betsy leaned against Baldwin, with one hand resting on his shoulder, posing in various ways as instructed by the photographer, showcasing the diamond rings on their hands.
To achieve the desired effect, a fan blew, blowing Betsy's long hair.
Under the lights, the two looked like a deeply passionate couple, perfectly matched.
At that moment, Nora could understand Quinn's feelings. If it were her seeing Aaron so close to another woman, looking at each other affectionately while shooting, she would not feel good either. However, Baldwin was an actor, and the nature of his work meant that he couldn't avoid contact with female artists like an ordinary man. So, if Quinn wanted Baldwin as a husband, she had to accept his profession and suppress her discomfort. Of course, the precondition was that Baldwin would remain faithful when facing external temptations.
"Mr. Gordon, you're here," the PR manager received notification and rushed to the studio, feeling anxious. He thought he had not done something well, which caused the boss to come personally for inspection. Aaron nodded slightly at him. "You do your thing, don't worry about us." He held Nora and walked towards the inside. His originally cold and aloof expression only softened when he looked at her.
"Let's go sit in the rest area and watch slowly." Nora nodded and followed him into the rest area.
The PR manager's eyes were full of surprise. He had no idea who Nora was, someone who could make their ice-cold CEO speak so affectionately to her. He didn't dare ask more and simply instructed his subordinates to quickly serve coffee to the two of them before he went off busily.
After Nora and Aaron took their seats, Aaron's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and said to Nora, "You take your time watching; I'll go outside and take a call."
"Okay," Nora replied and continued watching the shooting scene. It seemed that watching attractive men and women shooting advertisements was a pleasant thing. However, when Nora saw Betsy's hands clasping Baldwin's neck tightly and her body pressing against his, she couldn't help but frown. Did a jewelry advertisement really need them to be so close?
In the studio, when Baldwin felt Betsy pressing close to him, he also furrowed his brows and pushed her away. Betsy flashed a seductive smile with her flirtatious eyes and asked, "Baldwin, what's wrong? The shoot isn't over yet. Are you feeling unwell?" Baldwin glanced at her and said, "Director Patrick didn't mention that we needed to be this close when shooting. You need to show the jewelry you're wearing in front of the camera."
"Baldwin, I think since we're playing a couple, we should act more realistically," Betsy said in a coy voice, "Only when we invest our emotions can our emotions infect the audience, and the effect of the shoot will be good. It will also help with the product's sales in the future." Saying that she turned to look at the director.
"Director Patrick, don't you agree with what I said?"
The director who shot this ad was named Director Patrick. He was specially hired by Gordon's group's public relations department to direct the shoot. He agreed and nodded, "That makes sense. Betsy is thinking ahead."
Betsy, gaining the director's approval, smiled and looked at Baldwin. "Baldwin, even Director Patrick thinks my recent changes are better," she said coyly. Baldwin furrowed his brow and remained silent.
Seeing this, Director Patrick said, "Baldwin, remember, you're a professional actor, don't be so hesitant. Look at how freely Betsy behaves. Come on, let's continue shooting."
Baldwin felt uncomfortable and stood still. His assistant stepped forward quickly to convince him, "Baldwin, there's just one more set of shots, and then we're done. Can you bear with it a little longer?"
Baldwin raised his gaze and met his assistant's pleading eyes, ultimately choosing not to say anything. He had originally gone to Quinn's company yesterday to find her. He just hadn't expected her to leave for Houston without saying a word. He figured she must still be angry with him. Remembering his mother's words, Baldwin requested his agent.
Either replace Betsy or if they didn't, he wouldn't film this ad campaign. He wasn't a big star, so of course, his agent wouldn't listen to him.
That's why he faced some threats and temptations. The general idea was that if he didn't finish filming this ad campaign, he would not only have to compensate the company for a huge breach of contract, but the company would also blocklist him.
However, if he finished filming this ad campaign, there would be many more opportunities, and the company would prioritize him.
It hadn't been easy for him to come this far in his career. He wanted to make sure everything was going smoothly just as he was getting some success.
Once his career went downhill, how could he deserve Quinn, the president? How could he support her in the future? After much deliberation, he decided to finish filming the ad campaign first. After it was done, he would find Quinn and explain everything to her.
