Chapter 378 Make Nora Your Prey
"Mr. Kevin is awake," Jenny spoke up.
Everyone stopped playing.
Nora poured a glass of water and walked over, "Mr. Kevin, you're awake. How do you feel?"
Kevin slowly sat up from the couch, his eyes heavy from the drowsiness. He took the glass of water and took a sip, finally becoming alert and coherent.
"Ms. Smith, did I truly fall asleep listening to your performance?" Kevin said in disbelief.
Nora smiled, "Yes, you slept the whole afternoon."
Kevin looked astonished. "Oh my, I slept the whole afternoon! I can't remember the last time I slept so soundly. Ms. Smith, you truly are amazing!" he praised.
Nora chuckled, and inquired, "So, are you satisfied with my music therapy?"
"Yes, very satisfied!" Kevin replied enthusiastically as he nodded repeatedly.
"Then, about the collaboration with Edric..." Nora seized the opportunity.
"Don't worry, I'm not a businessman who breaks promises," Kevin said.
Nora felt relieved and glanced at Edric.
Edric was naturally delighted, and inquired, "Then, Mr. Kevin, can we discuss the details at my company tomorrow?"
"No problem," Kevin readily agreed.
Thus, a collaboration was sealed. Nora and Jenny exchanged a smile, and Jenny secretly gave her a thumbs-up. She mused on how wonderful it was to have a reliable friend.
"Mr. Kevin, let me introduce myself. This is my good friend, Aaron, also Dr. Smith's boyfriend," Edric remembered to introduce Aaron.
Kevin looked at Aaron and smiled, "So you're Ms. Smith's boyfriend. Nice to meet you! With Ms. Smith being so excellent, I imagine her boyfriend must also be an exceptional person."
Aaron with a proud expression, felt like he was basking in the glow of his girlfriend's stellar reputation.
He smirked and replied, "My girlfriend is more excellent than me."
"It's true that there are few women in the world who are as outstanding as Ms. Smith,"Kevin agreed. He was in a good mood after his nap feeling refreshed.
"Indeed, it's my honor to have her," Aaron said proudly as he glanced at Nora, his eyes full of tenderness.
Nora couldn't stand the praise and got up, excusing herself, "I'll go to the restroom."
Seeing her shyness, Edric teased, "Aaron, being so straightforward with your compliments, are you hoping that Dr. Smith will be more proactive tonight?"
Aaron took a sip of his drink and glanced at him, "I'm not like you; I don't use flowery words."
'Bro, can you stop picking on me all the time? Can't you see that I have a girlfriend? Give me some face, come on!' Edric brooded.
"What were you guys having so much fun with, just now?" Kevin, listening to the banter between the two, asked with interest.
"We were playing a little game," Edric replied.
"Youth is good," Kevin sighed.
"Mr. Kevin, you're not old either," Edric played to his interests, and coaxed, "Since you love music so much, you must be good at singing. How about a song?"
"Sure," Kevin's interest piqued.
Fabio had two female PR assistants set the music and started singing.
Meanwhile, in an upscale hotel.
In a dimly lit room, only one warm yellow light was on. Anna sat on the carpet in a white bathrobe, holding a cigarette between her slender fingers, blowing smoke rings while looking at the night view outside the window.
The bathroom door suddenly opened at that moment, and Flynt, wearing a dark blue bathrobe, came out with a white towel in his hand, wiping his damp hair.
Walking toward Anna's side, he tossed the towel aside and sat down, taking the cigarette from her hand and taking a few puffs. Subtle smoke rose from his mouth and nose, his face looking intoxicated.
Anna played with her big wavy curls, in a foul mood, chided, "Can't you figure out how to get cigarettes for yourself?"
This was no ordinary cigarette. There were other substances added to it. Flynt took a few deep breaths of smoke, his eyes dazed.
He reached out and pulled the back of Anna's head, forcefully kissing her red lips. "I just like smoking what you left behind."
Anna, in a bad mood, pushed him away, stood up, and poured herself a drink.
Watching her alluring figure, Flynt took a few more puffs of smoke. Then he extinguished the cigarette butt and walked over to embrace her from behind.
"Are you still thinking about Edric? Isn't it good enough being with me?" he asked, with his sultry voice.
Anna pushed his hand away, looked at him, and said, "I'm not that stupid."
Flynt raised an eyebrow, acting indifferent, "What's wrong with me? At most, my family background is not as good as his."
Anna took a sip of her drink, knowing that he didn't genuinely want to be with her. "Have you set your sights on a new target recently?" she asked.
Flynt shrugged and poured himself a drink, too. "I can't help it; I'm too charming. Those simple-minded women always come to me willingly," he remarked, condescendingly.
Anna looked at this handsome man with an Evella appearance and sneered inwardly, 'Some women can be foolish, only seeing him as a harmless puppy and not realizing that he is a skilled hunter.'
"It seems like your new target has a good relationship with Nora," Anna said, her eyes flashing with anger.
Flynt nodded as he toyed with his glass, and replied, "Yes, I think so. She mentioned Nora during both our dates."
Anna took a sip of her drink and furiously said, "Nora has ruined my plans several times!" If it weren't for Nora, she and Edric would be rekindling their old feelings by now!
Flynt remained silent, lazily standing to the side while enjoying his wine.
Anna checked the time, thinking about Kevin, and a cold smile tugged at her lips. That man was her loyal fan. Upon hearing that she was hurt, he must have left in anger by now, ruining the collaboration between him and Edric.
'How is Edric fairing now?' she wondered, deviously. Anna's eyes darted around as she pulled out her phone and dialed Kevin's assistant's number.
She needed to know what the situation was right now.
If Edric and Kevin's collaboration had not been successful, she would intervene and encourage Edric to view her from a different perspective, fostering a healthier and more positive relationship.
The call quickly connected.
"Miss Anna," Kevin's assistant answered.
"Hello, sir; I hope I'm not disturbing you?" Anna smiled as she greeted him.

"No, do you need something?" Kevin's assistant inquired.
"It's nothing important. I just wanted to check in, concerned about the collaboration between Mr. Kevin and Edric, did it fail?" Anna asked in anticipation.
She had prepared a long speech, waiting for the assistant to say it failed so she could help Edric and persuade Kevin to give him another chance.
However...
"The collaboration between Mr. Kevin and Edric has already been agreed upon. Tomorrow, we will go to Edric's branch to discuss the details of the collaboration," the assistant informed.
Anna's smile froze. Her face was filled with disbelief, and her voice raised a few notches. "You already agreed? So quickly?" she questioned.
"Yes, Ms. Smith is quite an amazing person. With her setup, Mr. Kevin is more than willing to collaborate with Edric," the assistant said.
It was Nora who helped set them up for success! And again, Nora had interfered with her schemes! Anna's facial muscles twitched, and she muttered a few words before hanging up.
Staring at the night view outside the window, her heart was filled with frustration, and she angrily swept everything off the table onto the floor.
"Why does it have to be like this? Why?" she yelled in frustration.
Flynt frowned as he saw her losing her temper, asking, "What's wrong? Why are you getting upset?"
Anna's chest heaved with intense emotions. She turned to look at him, and asked, "Flynt, do me a favor."
"What favor do you need?" Flynt inquired.
"Make Nora your target!" Anna demanded.
