Chapter 416: Take Responsibility for My Sister
Evella pouted, "I'm already home. Nora, you're lying. You didn't forget; you did it on purpose, right?"
Nora cleared her throat and tried to ask, "Um, last night, did anything happen between you guys?"
"He's impotent!"
Evella knew what Nora meant and blurted it out.
Nora was stunned, "What? Howard's impotent?"
Evella's gaze flickered as she stammered, "Yes, so from now on, don't randomly try to matchmake anymore."
Nora was somewhat doubtful. "Evella, are you telling the truth or not?"
"Of course I am; I'm still a virgin!" Evella's ears turned slightly red, afraid that Nora would continue to dig deeper. She hurriedly continued, "Alright, I won't talk anymore. I have to go to school."
Who told him to mock her for being flat?
Clearly, she had some fleshy parts.
Since he liked to talk nonsense, she won't sit still and make herself look bad!
"Your bag and phone are with me; I'll go to school this noon and return them to you," Nora said.
"Alright, I'll wait for you to have lunch together," Evella said.
"Okay."
After hanging up, Evella returned the phone to the servant and then went downstairs.
At Aaron's villa.
Nora leaned against the bedside, shock still in her eyes.
Evella said Howard was impotent. No way!
How can such a good man be impotent?
The bedroom door gently opened, with Aaron quietly walking in.
Seeing her awake, he smiled, "Awake? Why not sleep a little longer?"
Nora regained her senses. "I just got a call from Evella. Have the kids all gone to school?"
She was becoming more and more useless now.
Every day, Aaron would turn off the alarm on her phone.
The kids didn't even need her to pick them up anymore.
She was so happy it felt unreal!
"The kids just left," Aaron replied, sitting down by the bed. "Did Evella say something?"
"Yes."
"What did she say?" he asked.
She pondered for a moment and said, "She said Howard was impotent and told me not to meddle anymore."
Aaron paused.
That can't be true!
"Did Evella really say that?"
"Yes."
"It's probably a lie, right?" he was somewhat interested.
Nora felt conflicted and agreed, "Well, only the parties involved would know for sure. Should I ask Howard? If it's really true, he should seek treatment sooner."
Aaron remained silent.
Was she really going to ask such a private question to a grown man? Wasn't she embarrassed?
Aaron lightly brushed her petite nose.
"Why ask? Howard is a doctor himself; wouldn't he know better? Even if you did, it'd probably be awkward," he said.
Nora's eyebrows furrowed. "I'm a doctor; I don't get awkward."
"That might be for you, but not for others," he replied.
She pondered for a bit. "Then I won't ask anymore. I also think Howard should be fine. Evella's probably just angry, so she made things up."
"I think so, too."
He changed the topic, "Are you hungry? Shall I bring breakfast up for you?"
"No need, I'm not a pregnant woman."
This man was treating her like a three-year-old child, handing everything to her on a silver platter!
She lifted the blanket and got out of bed, but as soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt weak and fell to the side.
Aaron quickly caught her in his arms.
"Are you alright?"
Her eyes were filled with embarrassment, raising her hand to lightly hit his chest.
"This is all your fault!" she scolded.
He was like a hungry wolf every night, and she couldn't withstand his ravaging!
He chuckled and bent down to kiss her cheek.
"Why blame me? It's not like you have low energy. I had someone stew some nourishing soup for you; drink it later."
Nora glared at him, pushing him away as she walked toward the bathroom.
"I don't want to drink it. You need to show some self-control."
She was wearing a silk nightgown, accentuating her graceful figure.
Aaron smirked, thinking that self-control was impossible.
With a delicate beauty in his arms, who could resist?
Ah, men!
Thinking of Howard, he raised an eyebrow.
Was Howard really impotent?
At the Hamilton family's residence.
After finishing his morning routine, Howard was downstairs pouring himself some water when he received a call from Archer.
Getting straight to the point, Archer said, "Howard, I heard you're impotent. Do you want me to find a reputable doctor in the field of men's health to help you?"
Howard almost spit out his water.
He coughed twice and said angrily, "Who told you such a thing? Everything is perfectly normal!"
"Is that so? So, did you sleep with my sister last night?"
Howard was surprised but quickly realized what was happening. "Did she say I couldn't perform?"
Without answering, Archer asked, "So, are you impotent or not?"
"Of course I'm not!" Howard replied.
"So, you slept with her?"
"Well, I..."
Damn, he almost fell into the trap.
He collected his thoughts and replied, "Archer, you can't equate the two. Just because I'm not impotent doesn't mean I have to sleep with your sister."
Archer said, "A man and a woman living together, with my sister being so attractive. How could you not react if you really aren’t impotent?"
Howard choked, "Archer, I'm a gentleman, you know?"
Archer said, "Oh really? Is a gentleman someone who takes a drunk girl to a hotel? Howard, you're contradicting yourself."
Howard rubbed his forehead, feeling like he was in a tight spot.
He shouldn't have gotten involved yesterday; it was causing him so much trouble!
"Archer, what are you implying?"
Archer said, "Howard, regardless of whether you slept together or not, at least you two stayed overnight at a hotel. If this matter spreads, it'll damage her reputation. You need to take responsibility."
Take responsibility for Evella?
Howard remained silent for a moment, "Archer, do you want me to marry her?"
Archer said, "Do you agree?"
Howard fell silent again.
The woman's graceful figure suddenly appeared in his mind.
His Adam's apple rolled slightly, taking a deep breath. "As long as she doesn't mind, I don't either. I'm just afraid she'll reject me!"
Marrying Evella didn't seem impossible either.
However, that damn girl spread rumors about him being incompetent, probably because she didn't want to marry him.
He should settle the score with her another day!
"So, you don't mind?" Archer chuckled.
"Yes."
"Okay, got it." he didn't say anything else and hung up directly.
Howard looked at the phone screen, feeling somewhat perplexed.
He had always focused on medicine before and had no interest in women.
However, he also knew that he'd eventually get married.
Since the Remington and Hamilton families' elders had expressed intentions to tie the knot, he could accept Evella.
At least he had a physical reaction to her, didn't he?
"Howard, who were you talking to on the phone?" Emma came down the stairs.
