Chapter 872 Alcohol Poisoning

Gabriella clung to Aaron like an octopus, refusing to let go.

"Didn't I tell you not to touch me? I feel awful!"

"Ms. Costa, please let go. I'm Johnnie, not a bad guy. Let me help you back to your room."

Johnnie applied a bit of force, trying to pull her away from Aaron.

Seeing she was about to be pulled away, Gabriella grabbed Aaron's sleeve tightly, her brows furrowed, looking like she was about to vomit.

Aaron was startled and was about to push her away when Gabriella suddenly vomited.

The vomit splattered on his clothes and shoes.

Aaron's breath hitched, and his face darkened instantly.

Johnnie was also taken aback.

He knew how severe Aaron's cleanliness obsession was.

"Sorry, I couldn't control it."

Gabriella looked at Johnnie with a slurred voice and shouted, "It's all your fault! You made me vomit!"

Johnnie didn't argue with a drunk person.

He went along with Gabriella's words. "Yes, it's all my fault."

Aaron frowned and waved his hand. "Take her back to her room first."

"Yes."

Johnnie responded, "Ms. Costa, I'll take you back to your room."

"I don't want to go back to my room, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Lefebvre, let's keep drinking!"

Gabriella shouted drunkenly as Johnnie forcibly took her away.

Aaron used a tissue to wipe the vomit off his clothes, then, suppressing his nausea, returned to his room.

He took off his clothes and threw them away, then took a thorough shower in the bathtub, finally feeling a bit better.

Aaron had drunk quite a bit tonight, and his head was heavy.

Thinking that things here were settled and he could return to Nora tomorrow, he didn't call her.

With one thing resolved, Aaron felt at ease.

After washing up, he went to bed.

Aaron planned to get a good night's sleep so he could be energetic to see Nora tomorrow.

However, in the middle of the night, his phone rang.

Aaron was woken up, frowning.

It was Gabriella calling.

Aaron rubbed his throbbing temples and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Mr. Gordon, I feel awful, my stomach hurts."

Gabriella's voice had a hint of pain.

Aaron then heard her vomit again.

Thinking about how Gabriella had drunk so much for him tonight, Aaron was worried something might happen to her, so he quickly sat up.

"Can you still open the door? I'll come over right away."

"I can."

After hanging up, Aaron quickly got dressed and went to Gabriella's room.

After ringing the doorbell, Gabriella quickly opened the door.

Gabriella's face was as pale as a sheet, clutching her stomach in pain.

"Mr. Gordon, I feel awful."

Aaron's face was serious. "I'll take you to the hospital right away."

He took out his phone to call Johnnie.

But the call went unanswered.

Johnnie must have drunk too much and was sleeping soundly.

Seeing Gabriella's face extremely pale, looking like she might faint any second, Aaron, knowing she drank for him, didn't delay and carried her downstairs.

Aaron asked the front desk to call a car and then took her to the nearest hospital.

The medical staff took Gabriella to the emergency room, and Aaron waited in the hallway.

Three hours later, the doctor came out.

Aaron asked about Gabriella's condition.

"She has alcohol poisoning. Fortunately, she was brought in time. We pumped her stomach, and she's fine now."

Hearing this, Aaron breathed a sigh of relief. Thank God Gabriella was okay, or he’d have felt guilty as hell.

Gabriella was moved to a ward, still out cold. Aaron checked the time; it was already past five in the morning. He had a flight at seven, but now it seemed he couldn't make it.

Aaron sat by the bed, waiting for Gabriella to wake up. His phone buzzed—it was Johnnie.

"Sorry, Mr. Gordon, I slept through it and missed your call. Did something happen?"

"Yeah, Gabriella got alcohol poisoning. I had to bring her to the hospital in the middle of the night," Aaron said.

"Is she okay?" Johnnie asked, sounding worried.

"She's fine now."

"Are you at the hospital?"

"Yeah."

"I'll come over right away."

Half an hour later, Johnnie showed up at the hospital.

"Mr. Gordon."

"Yeah," Aaron nodded.

"Mr. Gordon, you probably won't make your seven o'clock flight. Do you need me to reschedule it?" Johnnie asked.

Aaron glanced at Gabriella lying in bed. "Let's wait until she wakes up."

Johnnie was quiet for a moment and then said, "How about you go see Dr. Smith, and I'll stay here to take care of her?"

"No need," Aaron replied. After all, Gabriella helped him a lot, and her hospitalization was because of him. He had to wait for her to wake up and thank her before leaving.

"I'll go get you something to eat," Johnnie said.

"Okay."

Johnnie left the ward to buy breakfast. Soon, Gabriella woke up.

"You're awake?"

Gabriella looked at Aaron, her voice weak. "Mr. Gordon, what happened to me?"

"Alcohol poisoning, but you're fine now," Aaron said.

Gabriella pulled a wry smile. "Those people can really drink. They almost killed me."

"Sorry, it's my fault you ended up in the hospital," Aaron apologized.

Gabriella waved her hand. "Don't blame yourself. I didn't drink for you entirely. We have a collaboration, and I was afraid you'd drink too much and delay the work."

She was quite candid. Aaron smiled slightly without saying anything.

At that moment, Johnnie brought breakfast.

"Ms. Costa, you're awake?"

"Yeah."

Gabriella smiled at Johnnie, then turned to Aaron. "Mr. Gordon, I remember you have a morning flight to Hchilia, right?"

"Yeah," Aaron responded.

"Am I delaying you?"

"It's fine."

"You should go. Don't worry about me."

Aaron looked at her and asked, "Are you sure?"

"Sure!"

Gabriella smiled and added, "It's just a minor issue. I'll be discharged soon."

Aaron was silent for a moment, then said, "I'll have Johnnie stay to take care of you."

"You don't have to, you both can go."

"I insist."

Aaron looked at Johnnie. "Johnnie, stay and take care of her."

"Okay," Johnnie agreed.

"Then I'll leave now." Aaron stood up, not being overly polite with Gabriella.

"Okay, safe travels."

Gabriella waved at him. Aaron didn't linger and left quickly.

Watching Aaron's figure disappear from the ward, Gabriella's eyes darkened slightly, and she smiled. She glanced at Johnnie and smiled brightly, "Mr. Perez, I'll trouble you today."

"It's my duty," Johnnie said in a businesslike tone.

"I need to use the bathroom," Gabriella frowned, clutching her stomach.

"I'll help you up," Johnnie said quickly.

Gabriella looked at him. "What if I can't get up because I feel unwell?"

"I'll get a nurse to help you."

"But I can't wait. You should carry me."
