Chapter 951 Just Using Him

Mateo laughed in frustration. "How can you be so narrow-minded? Honestly, you don't deserve Nora."

Aaron sneered. "Even if I don't, she's still my wife."

He stood up and walked out.

"Man, you're really getting on my nerves."

Mateo was left shocked and speechless. He was stunned by Aaron's rude behavior.

Gabriella watched, a bit excited. Seeing Johnnie's worried look, she turned to him.

"Johnnie, shouldn't you check on Mr. Gordon? Make sure they don't start arguing."

Johnnie nodded and excused himself to Mateo before leaving.

In the room, only Gabriella, Mateo, and a few of Mateo's servants were left.

Gabriella walked over and poured Mateo some coffee.

"Here, have some coffee."

"Thanks."

Mateo took the cup, noticing Gabriella's smile, and raised an eyebrow.

"Ms. Costa, you seem pretty happy."

"Of course, I'm happy to see you, Mateo," Gabriella said, smiling.

Mateo sipped his coffee and said, "You're happy because they argued, right?"

The servants only understood the local language, so they didn't avoid speaking in front of them.

Gabriella didn't answer directly but took a slow sip of coffee.

"Mateo, you still have feelings for Nora, don't you? Seeing Aaron act like that, you must feel sorry for her. Do you want to take her away and care for her?"

Mateo raised an eyebrow. "And you, do you hope they argue and fall apart because of me?"

Gabriella smiled. "Mateo, you and I get along well."

Mateo said, "You mean we have a common goal?"

To break up Aaron and Nora.

Gabriella added, "Mateo, you're very perceptive."

"You too, Ms. Costa," Mateo replied.

They didn't say it outright, but their intentions were clear.

Mateo took another sip of coffee, his expression turning colder.

"Ms. Costa, let me remind you, I want Nora to be happy. If you harm her, as the prince of Hchilia, I won't let you off."

Gabriella glanced at him, smiling without a word.

Outside, after finishing her call with Emma, Nora was about to return when Aaron pulled her into another room.

"What are you doing?" Nora asked.

Aaron held her, looking into her eyes. "You scolded me in front of Mateo?"

He sounded hurt.

Nora found it amusing and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I was just playing along with your act."

Aaron smirked. "I wasn't acting; I was genuinely jealous."

Nora teased, "Oh, turning fiction into reality?"

Aaron chuckled and kissed her.

"Maybe you were the one venting, holding it in for a long time?"

Nora laughed.

"Alright, let's go back. We need to keep up the act so Gabriella doesn't suspect anything."

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "With our acting skills, how could she suspect anything?"

He added, "Besides, as far as I know about her, she's probably looking for a chance to encourage Mateo to take you away."

Nora raised an eyebrow. "That's not impossible."

Aaron pinched her cheek, teasing. "Don't blame me for being irresistible. We're both responsible for this mess, you know."

At the slightly open door, Johnnie, who had been eavesdropping, froze.

'What are they talking about? Why mention Gabriella? Were they just acting earlier? To fool Gabriella? Why would she encourage Mateo to take Nora? Does Gabriella have secrets?'

Johnnie's breath hitched. 'Does Gabriella like Aaron? Is she using Mateo to get rid of Nora? Or does she have other plans? Why is she approaching me? Is she using me?'

Johnnie clenched his fingers, stood still for a moment, then quietly left.

Inside, Nora pushed Aaron. "Alright, stop being clingy, let's go."

Aaron nodded, adjusted her clothes, and they left the room.

"Mr. Gordon," Johnnie pretended to approach from a distance.

Aaron glanced at him. "What's up?"

Johnnie hesitated but shook his head. He wondered why Aaron was hiding things about Gabriella. Maybe Aaron didn't trust him. And why would he? He had been easily seduced by Gabriella. No wonder Aaron chose Noe over him as his first assistant. Noe wouldn't have been swayed by beauty.

Johnnie hung his head and followed Aaron back to the private room.

Inside, Mateo glared at Aaron, who still looked sour. Aaron had a knack for jealousy. Why hadn't he noticed Gabriella's interest in him? Mateo had wanted to warn Aaron, but now he didn't feel like it. Aaron was too stupid and didn't deserve Nora. If Aaron hurt Nora, Mateo would give up his title and take her away if she wanted to leave.

"Mateo, eat more," Nora said, serving him soup and food.

Mateo, pleased, served her back. Seeing them so close, Aaron's face darkened even more. He wondered if this act was a mistake. Would it give Mateo false hope?

Gabriella noticed and smiled, placing a piece of deboned fish in Aaron's bowl. Aaron glanced at her, saw the intrigue in her eyes, and coldly ate the fish.

Johnnie sat nearby, gripping his fork tightly. Two voices battled in his head. One hoped they had misunderstood Gabriella. The other called him a fool. Did Gabriella really like Aaron? Was she encouraging Mateo to break up Aaron and Nora? Was she just using him?
