Chapter 741 You Were My Talent Scout

Listening to Jane's sorrowful cry, Francis's eyes flashed with understanding.

It seemed that Bryan had abandoned the woman in front of him for a rich woman.

A glint of sinster light appeared in Francis's eyes.

"It's admirable. A good girl doesn't rely on a man but on herself to achieve financial freedom."

Jane stared blankly ahead, her eyes lost in confusion.

"But I only have a vocational education. At best, I can only be a frontline worker, earning a fixed monthly salary of six to eight hundred dollars. When can I rely on myself to become wealthy and achieve financial freedom?"

"Earning money is so difficult for us ordinary women. Why do those affluent women get to be so wealthy? Why do they need to use their money to take my boyfriend away? They already have everything they could want."

Jane covered her face and cried in pain.

The interest in Francis's eyes deepened.

He handed her a few tissues. " Miss, making money in this world is actually quite easy. As long as you meet your talent scout, you can earn a fortune easily."

Upon hearing this, Jane slowly raised her gaze to him, took the tissues from his hand, and wiped away her tears.

"A talent scout? I'm not an individual of talent; how could I be so lucky to meet a talent scout?" Jane asked.

Francis smiled. "You never know; maybe the talent scout is right in front of you?"

Jane looked him up and down. "Are you saying you are my talent scout?"

Francis nodded. "Yes, I think you're quite pretty. I know of an opportunity to make money. Would you be willing to give it a try?"

"What opportunity?" Jane asked eagerly.

"I know a general manager of an entertainment company who is currently looking for a girl with the right look to form a girl group."

Francis leisurely continued, "He asked me to keep an eye out for a naturally beautiful girl who hasn't had cosmetic surgery. I think you fit the bill. Would you like me to introduce you?"

Upon hearing this, excitement flashed across Jane's face.

"Are you saying that I might be noticed by the entertainment company and then be packaged as a star?" Jane asked.

Francis nodded. "If you are chosen, there is such a chance. But is your face natural, without any alterations?"

Jane quickly nodded and pulled her face skin with her hand.

"Yes, my face is completely natural. I've looked like this since I was eighteen."

Francis responded, "That's good. Coincidentally, that general manager is here right now. If you're interested, I can take you to meet him. But I can't guarantee that he will pick you; after all, he has seen many beautiful women and is very picky."

Francis didn't just blindly encourage but also mentioned the uncertainties, giving a sense of practicality.

A glint of determination flashed in Jane's eyes, and she continued to feign excitement and joy on her face.

"I do have this idea. I want to make money, I want to become famous, I want my boyfriend to look at me with admiration. Sir, please take me to meet that general manager!" Jane said.

A triumphant smile flickered in Francis's eyes.

"Alright, let's make a deal. If you get noticed and become a big star in the future, don't forget to thank me generously," Francis said.

"I definitely will!" Jane replied.

"Let's go," Francis added.

Francis stood up, glanced at his companion who was watching nearby, and nodded to him.

The companion understood, stood up, and made a phone call while walking.

At the same time, a few young men entered the club's entrance.

One of them had a clean and elegant appearance, with a slightly sad look in his eyes.

His clean and cool demeanor seemed out of place amidst the noisy scene at the Hilton.

Walking beside him was a man in a white casual shirt paired with khaki pants, tall and handsome, exuding a sunny disposition.

He draped his strong arm over the other man's shoulder and said, "Zephyr, don't be so uptight tonight like an old man. Relax with us. Tomorrow we are going to embark on a grand plan."

Indeed, these two men were Zephyr and his brother Jeremy.

Jeremy had convinced Zephyr to join his laboratory to conduct medical experiments.

Therefore, tonight, they were out celebrating with a few other doctors.

Zephyr pulled Jeremy's arm down. "Enough with the arm over the shoulder; what are you doing?"

Jeremy chuckled. "Look at you, all serious again. Afraid people will think we're gay?"

Zephyr glanced at Jeremy. "I'm not afraid. I'm not looking for a girlfriend anyway. You, on the other hand, need to be careful not to be misunderstood by good girls."

Jeremy was speechless. "Just a casual arm over the shoulder, and how can that be misunderstood? That's quite the imagination. Girls think like that are trouble."

"You're the one giving off the wrong impression; don't blame others for misunderstanding."

"When did I give off the wrong impression?"

"Always."

Zephyr and Jeremy bantered back and forth, and along with the other men who had come with them, they sat down at a booth on the side.

Once seated, Jeremy asked the others to order some drinks and food.

Seeing Zephyr sitting somewhat bored, he asked, "By the way, have you been in touch with my cousin?"

Mentioning Jane, Zephyr felt a bit speechless.

"I'm not close to her; we don't even have each other's numbers. How would I contact her?"

Jeremy laughed and teased, "Zephyr, Are you asking me for Jane's number? If you want it, I can immediately ask my aunt for it."

Zephyr glanced at him. "Stop it! Before playing Cupid, you should sort out your own life first."

Jeremy said, "So I came to the Hilton, hoping to find a girl who catches my eye tonight."

Zephyr looked at him. "Are you here to find a girlfriend, or are you just being casual?"

Jeremy raised an eyebrow. "Zephyr, you're really out of touch. Nowadays, it's all about fast food culture. Love is also a kind of fast food. When a man and a woman hit it off, they get together. When there's no spark, they part ways. It's as normal as can be. Nowadays, not many people are as sentimental as you, holding onto one woman obsessively."

At this point, Zephyr's expression darkened slightly.

He was indeed too out of touch, so only he was fixated on the past, unable to move past that emotional barrier.

"Zephyr, I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything by it. I respect you a lot and admire your sincerity in relationships. I genuinely hope you can move on and start a new life."

Realizing his slip of the tongue, Jeremy quickly apologized.

At that moment, the waiter brought drinks and food. Zephyr said, "Alright if you want revelry, let's drink."

"Yes, everyone, let's not hold back today. Eat, play, have fun. It's on me."

Jeremy quickly changed the subject.

"Thank you, Mr. Nelson."

"Why call me Mr. Nelson? Drink up!"

They raised their glasses and began drinking and having a good time.

Watching everyone's smiling faces, Zephyr lightly pursed his lips and also raised his glass to finish it in one go.
