Chapter 525 I Am Your Loving Husband
Nora looked at Aaron, a little angry, and suddenly thought of something. "Are you talking about Matthew?" he asked.
"Yes," Nora replied and fell silent.
Aaron held her hand tightly, and said, "Nora, remember what I said. You are my woman, in this life and the next. You can only be mine, understand?"
His tone was domineering, his eyes like torches, warm yet intense.
Nora thought, 'I know,' but she was not ready to make such a commitment.
Nora remarked, "I don't want a domineering husband."
Aaron took a deep breath and said, "I'm not a domineering CEO, I'm your good husband."
Nora was speechless. She thought, 'A good husband! I've never heard a man praise himself as a good husband.'
Nora said sarcastically, "Explain what a good husband is."
Aaron smiled, and explained, "It's someone who's handsome, who sticks to you, and who's loyal."
Nora suddenly laughed, and replied, "Aaron, you're just praising yourself, aren't you?"
Aaron glanced at her, and asked, "So, do you like this good husband?"
Nora wanted to say she didn't want to be his good wife, but seeing his deep eyes, she nodded, "I like you."
"You're very wise," Aaron teased, and smiled.
They walked on, but Nora's smile faded. "Aaron, I want to go see Kenneth now," she said.
Nora hadn't been to the hospital to check on Kenneth this week because she wasn't sure if she had been infected. Thinking of Kenneth and Sandy, her excitement turned into disappointment.
Aaron looked at her and said, "I'm looking for Sandy."
'I don't need to tell him, he's already helping me,' Nora thought, feeling warm inside, and nodded.
They arrived at the hospital. Kenneth's condition had not worsened nor improved, so Ebenezer followed the director's advice and transferred Kenneth from the intensive care unit to a regular ward.
Nora and Aaron took the elevator to Kenneth's ward and saw Ebenezer sitting in front of the bed, lost in thought.
Nora hadn't seen Ebenezer for a few days, and she felt that his back seemed to have bent a lot, and he looked much older.
"Dad."
"Uncle Ebenezer."
They greeted Ebenezer.
"Nora, Aaron, you're here," Ebenezer said with a forced smile.
Nora walked over and sighed softly when she saw his pale face. Nora didn't tell Ebenezer that she had almost been infected with HIV because she was afraid that he would worry.
She only told him that she had something to do and had to wait a week before she could come to check on Kenneth.
"Dad, how has Kenneth been this week?" Nora asked.
Ebenezer replied, "The same as before."
Kenneth neither died nor woke up, lying quietly in bed every day. Ebenezer sighed inwardly.
Nora informed, "I'll go check on Kenneth first."
He agreed, "Okay." Ebenezer and Aaron left the ward.
"Aaron, is everything okay at your house?" Ebenezer asked.
Aaron was stunned, and reacted, "What?"
Ebenezer said, "Nora said she had something to do, did she come home with you?"
'So, Ebenezer thought something had happened to my family,' Aaron thought and lied to make it easier for him.
Aaron said, "My family is fine, I just took Nora back to Houston to see some relatives and friends."
Ebenezer nodded and didn't want to talk anymore.
Aaron thought of Emma's illness and said, "Has Aunt Emma found a suitable bone marrow donor?"
Ebenezer sighed, "No. I had Howard post on the company's official website, calling on employees to come and get tested. People come every day, but so far, no one has been a match for Emma."
Aaron comforted him, "Don't worry, you will definitely find a suitable bone marrow donor."
Ebenezer replied, "I hope so too."
They didn't say anything more until Nora came out after checking on Kenneth.
Ebenezer suggested, "Nora, are you tired? Go back and rest early."
Nora nodded, thinking of Emma as well. "Dad, is Mrs. Hamilton emotionally stable?" she asked.
Ebenezer nodded, and said, "She doesn't know about Kenneth's accident, or that he's the only one who's a match for her. Her head injury is almost healed, and she's already been discharged and is waiting for news at home."
Nora was silent for a few seconds and asked, "Should I go see her?"
"No need, she doesn't remember you, so let's not meet for now," Ebenezer said.
Ebenezer was already frustrated. He was afraid that if they met, Emma would ask a lot of questions. He was tired and didn't want to explain. "
Okay, then we'll go first," Nora said.
"Well, go back," Ebenezer said and waved.
Aaron nodded to him and left with Nora. They got into the elevator and went down to the first floor.
Nora thought for a moment, then turned and walked toward the blood collection area.
"Nora, where are you going?" Aaron asked.
Nora repleid, "I'm going to have my blood drawn."
'She's going to have her blood drawn again?' he thought. Aaron was stunned, and asked, "Why do you need to have your blood drawn again?"
Nora said, "Dad is looking for a suitable bone marrow donor for Mrs. Hamilton. What if my bone marrow matches hers?"
Aaron frowned tightly when he heard this, his first thought was to stop her. Donating bone marrow, although medically it does not harm the donor. But it will definitely have an impact on the donor's body.
In Aaron's mind, Nora's health is the most important, so he does not want Nora to do this. But in the end, he didn't say anything and let Nora go to have her blood drawn.
Generally speaking, most of the two people who can match are blood relatives. The probability of a successful match without a blood relationship is too small.
'Nora and Emma are not blood relatives, so it is impossible for them to match.' Aaron thought so, so he did not object.
However, some things are just so coincidental. Some secrets that should have been revealed long ago are suddenly revealed.
Three days later, Ebenezer received a call from the hospital at home. It said that someone had successfully matched with Emma and asked him to go to the hospital immediately.
Ebenezer was surprised and happy, and he hurried to the hospital with Howard.
"Doctor, who is the person who matched my wife?" Ebenezer asked the doctor as soon as he arrived at the hospital.
The doctor showed him the report, "Mr. Hamilton, after a series of comparisons, this Ms. Hamilton is a match for Mrs. Hamilton."
Ebenezer looked at the name on the report, somewhat surprised. "Nora?" he said aloud.
Ebenezer wondered, 'Why is it the same as my daughter's name? Is it really Nora!'
He quickly went to check the contact information of the donor. That string of phone numbers is Nora's mobile phone number!
He thought, 'It's actually Nora! She and my wife actually matched! What a lucky and surprising thing.'
Ebenezer was so happy that he was about to speak, but the doctor said, "In addition, Mr. Hamilton, the genetic comparison between this Ms. Hamilton and Mrs. Hamilton shows that they are blood relatives."
Ebenezer was shocked, and asked, "What did you say?"
"I said, Ms. Hamilton and Mrs. Hamilton are mother and daughter," the doctor repeated.
