Chapter 715 I Still Prefer My Husband

Seraphina fell silent for a moment, her tone tinged with a hint of confusion.

"Dr. Smith, can we chat for a few minutes?"

Nora stifled a laugh.

'Seraphina, why are you so cute?'

"No, a few minutes doesn't mean a specific time. It's just casual chatting."

Seraphina seemed a bit embarrassed. "I'm Sorry. I'm not very knowledgeable. Please don't look down on me."

Nora smiled mischievously. "Why would I? I find you quite interesting. Noe must think the same."

She deliberately probed, wanting to know Noe's current attitude towards Seraphina.

"No, he probably thinks I'm dumb," Seraphina said.

Nora raised her eyebrows. "Did he say you're dumb?"

"No, but I feel like that's what he thinks," Seraphina replied.

Nora's eyes flickered as she said, "But I want to know how he thinks!"

At this moment, Nora heard Noe's voice on the other end. "Seraphina, who are you talking to on the phone?"

"Dr. Smith. I was afraid she was getting impatient, so I answered for you," Seraphina said.

Nora listened carefully, and then the voice on the phone changed to Noe's.

"Dr. Smith, what's up?" Noe asked.

"I just wanted to ask you, is Alex asleep?"

"He should be asleep, and I'll go check right away."

Nora heard the sound of the door closing on the phone.

Noe must have left the room to go to Alex's room.

She quickly said, "Don't worry. If Alex is asleep, you can tell him tomorrow to have the Jones' intel agency check on Joseph Martinez again. See if anything special happened during the days he went missing."

Noe noted. "Got it. Do you need anything else?"

Nora blinked. "Have you been teaching Seraphina Everhart recently?"

Noe replied, "Yes, she wants to learn more, so I've been teaching her."

Nora teasingly asked, "Did you say she's dumb?"

Noe was taken aback. "No, I think she's quite smart and quick on the uptake. Did she say that to you?"

Nora smiled. "No, Seraphina only said she thinks you might consider her dumb."

"No, she's smart, a good learner. If she were born here, she could went to a top university in the country."

Nora detected the admiration in Noe's tone.

"Such high praise. It seems you really appreciate her."

Noe, with keen insight, coughed lightly. "Dr. Smith, please don't make fun of me."

Nora's eyes crinkled with laughter. "Not at all. I purely assess the matter at hand. Don't you appreciate her?"

Noe, putting on a brave face, responded, "She's fine."

"Well, I'm not insisting you marry her now!"

"Dr. Smith!"

Nora smiled mischievously, but at that moment, her door was pushed open.

Aaron's tall figure appeared at the doorway.

Nora quickly said, "Alright, let's stop here for now."

"Okay, I'll pass on the message to Alex tomorrow."

"Okay."

"Good night, Dr. Smith."

"Good night."

As she hung up the phone, Nora's eyes still held a hint of a smile.

Aaron sat down beside her, lifted her chin with his hand, and kissed her lightly.

"Tell me, who were you chatting with so happily behind my back?"

Aaron's deep brown eyes carried a hint of danger.

Nora teased him. "Just chatting with a handsome young man."

Aaron's eyes narrowed slightly. "What does he look like?"

"He has eight-pack abs, narrow waist, incredibly long legs, and looks like a debutant..."

Before she could finish, Aaron's lips silenced her.

Aaron's kiss was not gentle and tender as usual but full of possessiveness.

He punished Nora with his kiss, almost suffocating her with the intensity.

Feeling a chill on her shoulder, Aaron's slender fingers began to unbutton her clothes.

Nora dodged slightly, her breath uneven, her eyes carrying a hint of seduction.

"You haven't showered."

Aaron slowly lifted his head from Nora's chest, his brown eyes filled with burning desire.

"Honey, do you like handsome young men?"

Nora knew Aaron would ask that.

Nora smiled and then cupped Aaron's face, planting a kiss on his sensual lips.

"Not really. I prefer my husband."

Aaron's expression softened, clearly pleased.

His long fingers slipped under Nora's clothes, his voice husky. "Does your husband's physique appeal to you?"

Nora let out a soft moan, praising him. "Very much so. Pleasing to the eye."

Aaron chuckled, then leaned down to nibble on her soft earlobe.

"Besides being pleasing to the eye, isn't there something more important?"

A tingling sensation shot up her spine, and absentmindedly, Nora asked, "What?"

"Skilled."

Nora was speechless.

Aaron's kisses lingered on her chest.

The tingling sensation had spread throughout her body, making Nora feel like she was floating on a cloud, lost in pleasure.

Aaron raised his gaze slightly, looking into Nora's affectionate eyes, then lifted her.

Nora instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her slender legs encircling his waist.

As she watched Aaron head towards the bathroom, her hazy thoughts gradually cleared.

"Aaron, put me down, I've already showered."

"Help me."

"I don't want to. I'm tired!"

"Honey, help me, and your husband will take care of you!"

The next day, Nora went to see Lori at the Radiant Beauty Clinic, explained the situation to her, and asked Lori to go with her to identify whether Joseph had undergone plastic surgery.

Lori was grateful to Sandy and Nora for stepping in to help her during the last medical incident, so she readily agreed.

Richard found an excuse to invite Joseph out for lunch, and Nora and Lori pretended to coincidentally run into them and have lunch together.

After the meal, Nora and Lori bid farewell.

"Lori Ramirez, do you think he has had plastic surgery?" Nora asked as they sat in the car.

Based on her years of experience in plastic surgery, Lori replied, "I don't see any signs of surgery on his face."

In other words, this Joseph was not an imposter after plastic surgery.

Nora thanked Lori, and after dropping Lori off at the hospital, she informed Richard of this news.

Richard breathed a sigh of relief. "He is true Joseph. I probably overthought it."

Nora also felt a slight relief. Although she wasn't close to Joseph, he was someone close to Richard.

And Richard was Evella's uncle, so she naturally wished for all her acquaintances to be safe and sound.

Thinking of Evella, she couldn't help but think of Howard.

There was one more day before Howard would showcase his culinary skills.

She wondered if Howard would be able to deliver a satisfactory performance.
