Chapter 771 You Were Biased Against Me
Upon hearing this, Willow sneered lightly.
"Edric's taste is getting worse and worse. He actually fell for that kind of plastic surgery woman. Isn't he afraid that the children born in the future will be extremely ugly?"
Becky raised an eyebrow. "Then just spend more money on plastic surgery. Edric's family has plenty of money; there is nothing to worry about. It's just pitiful for the first wife, being played by others, and in the end, can only leave in embarrassment."
Saying that, Becky turned to look at Jenny.
"Jenny, you really have a lot of patience. Are you planning to let your husband have a harem, or if you don't want to teach a lesson to the women outside in the identity of the first wife, it's better to make plans early and make way for the mistress?"
Listening to Becky's sarcasm, Jenny remained silent, just giving her a cold glance.
Seeing Jenny's silent and submissive appearance, Willow couldn't help but exclaim, "Don't you have any dignity? You're just letting other women walk all over you like that?"
Jenny still didn't speak, feeling that her private affairs were none of their business.
She took a few tissues to wipe off the water stains on her hands, then threw them into the trash can.
Willow exclaimed, "If I had known you were this kind of woman, I wouldn't have backed off back then, letting other women take advantage!"
After speaking, she glared at Jenny, turned around angrily, and left.
The sound of high heels faded away, gradually disappearing completely.
The space quieted down, and Jenny couldn't be bothered to deal with Becky, just wanting to leave.
Becky smiled and asked, "Jenny, are you angry?"
Jenny paused, looking at her inquisitively. "Becky, what do you mean? I haven't offended you; there's no need for you to be sarcastic towards me."
Becky pursed her lips. "You're being unfair to me. Nora and I are on great terms now; we're like two peas in a pod. You're her best friend; why would I be sarcastic towards you unless I was out of my mind?"
Becky's words sparked a glimmer of interest in Jenny's eyes.
Jenny felt puzzled. "But weren't you just agreeing with Willow and mocking me?"
Becky nodded. "That's right."
Jenny asked, "So what's the point?"
Becky replied, "What's the point? I was just helping you find a helper to teach Edric's vixen a lesson."
Jenny was taken aback. "You were helping me find a helper?"
"Yes, Willow is the heiress of the Clark Group mining company, quite arrogant in her ways. I overheard that she once wanted to replace you as the mistress, but Edric refused."
"I see."
A sly gleam flashed in Becky's eyes. "Imagine an arrogant heiress like her being rejected by Edric and then seeing another vixen getting close to him; what do you think she would feel?"
Jenny blinked. "What would she think?"
Becky said, "She would definitely be furious. As a wealthy lady, she definitely wouldn't swallow this anger. What she can't get, no one else can get either. Since she couldn't become the mistress, she won't let anyone else become one!"
"So later on, she will definitely find an opportunity to teach the vixen by Edric's side a lesson. This is what I call leading trouble to the others, do you understand?"
After listening to Becky's explanation, Jenny suddenly understood.
"So you deliberately belittled me just now to make me appear vulnerable so that Willow would see the other women as thorns in her side."
Becky smiled and snapped her fingers. "Smart!"
Jenny smiled. "Becky, thank you."
Just a moment ago, she had doubted Becky, thinking that Becky was still as bad as before.
It turned out she had misunderstood Becky.
Becky had indeed changed for the better.
It was Nora's charm that could turn an old enemy like Becky into a good friend!
"Don't mention it. You are Nora's best friend, so from now on, we will be friends. If my friend encounters interference from a mistress, I will definitely stand by her side," Becky said confidently.
Jenny laughed heartily, feeling that Becky was indeed different from before.
As they were chatting and laughing, Nora walked over from a short distance away.
"Jenny, there you are; I've been looking for you for a while."
Jenny smiled and went to meet her.
Becky pursed her lips. "Nora, your eyes are only on your best friend. Didn't you see your sister standing here too?"
Nora glanced at her and teased, "You're quite the actress."
Becky pulled Jenny over, looking pitiful. "For the past six months, I've been living under Nora's tyranny. When she needs me, she speaks to me, but when she doesn't, she ignores me. I'm suffering inside."
Jenny chuckled, suddenly finding Becky quite amusing after her transformation!
Nora, on the other side, chuckled. "Are you acting again?"
Becky said, "What am I acting? I'm really feeling wronged. You all misunderstand me; it's hard to be a good person!"
Upon hearing this, Jenny found it even more amusing.
"Nora, Becky's acting skills are really getting better and better. Just now, for example, she made me doubt if your statement about her changing for the better was wrong."
Nora raised an eyebrow. "What happened just now?"
Jenny recounted the situation she had just encountered with Willow.
Nora listened carefully, then glanced at Becky after hearing it.
"It seems like you've been in the entertainment industry for a long time, becoming more and more sophisticated."
Becky's face beamed with pride. "Of course, don't you see how hardworking I am usually!"
Nora laughed.
But when she thought of Ursula, she glanced at Jenny, her smile fading slightly.
"Jenny, Fiona really leaves people speechless."
Mentioning her, the smile on Jenny's face also faded.
Fiona really left people helpless.
After being married for so long, their relationship with Edric was still as sweet as honey.
But it was Fiona's actions that tainted this sweetness with impurities, making it less pure, until Jenny was on the brink of despair.
Some might say that as long as she and Edric had a good relationship, she shouldn't care about others' opinions.
If it were an ordinary family, it might be fine.
But the Bishop family was a prominent one, with complex relationships, and it wasn't as simple as just being a loving couple with Edric.
Jenny tried to convince herself that as long as she and Edric were happy, she could ignore Fiona's various schemes.
But in a prominent family, there were often gatherings and banquets.
Every time Jenny accompanied Edric to events, Fiona would belittle her in the socialite circle, sarcastically taunting and deliberately making things difficult for her.
Jenny had been pampered by her parents since childhood and had never experienced such grievances.
She could endure once or twice, but to consistently bear such treatment had truly become intolerable for her.
Each of Fiona's schemes gradually eroded Jenny's psychological defenses.
What Jenny couldn't stand the most was Fiona constantly pushing women toward Edric.
This made Jenny's already fragile defenses even more vulnerable.
Of course, Jenny believed that Edric would not betray her.
But if one day Fiona schemed against Edric and he had a relationship with another woman by any means, would she still want to continue this marriage with Edric?
Not continuing would cause Jenny pain.
Continuing would make her nauseous.
She really couldn't figure it out.
