Chapter 500 Nora Went on a Date With Someone

"All right, calm down. I'll call him right now." Howard reassured Emma and then took out his phone to dial Kenneth's number.
"Kenneth, Mom is awake; she wants to see you," he informed.
"I got it; I'll be there soon," Kenneth replied.
At that moment, in the bedroom of the Hamilton Villa, Kenneth lowered his gaze and looked tenderly at Sandy, who was tying his tie for him.
"My mom is awake; I have to go to the hospital," he said.
Sandy's slender fingers paused for a while, then skillfully finished tying his tie and softly responded.
Emma woke up, so she would definitely talk to Kenneth about something related to Sandy later. Sandy felt a bit uneasy and apologetic, afraid that they would argue because of her.
She was curious to know if the Hamilton family would always be in conflict because of her presence.
A warm touch on her chin; it was Kenneth's slender fingers lifting her chin. "Are you overthinking again?" he inquired.
Sandy locked eyes with him, calming her emotions, and reached out to embrace his strong waist.
She pressed her face against his cheek, listening to his strong heartbeat, and whispered, "Don't argue with Emma because of me. She's weak now, so you should give in to her."
Kenneth smiled and stroked her silky hair. "You're so considerate. I understand. Just stay at home and leave everything to me." His gentle tone made Sandy feel at ease. She responded to him, feeling very happy.
"Let's go have breakfast."
"Okay."
Kenneth and Sandy held hands and left the bedroom.
Ebenezer had already gotten up and was on the phone with Howard.
When he heard that Emma was awake, he also prepared to go to the hospital.
"Dad, good morning," Kenneth and Sandy greeted him, and then they sat down at the dining table, ready to have breakfast.
Kenneth handed Sandy a glass of milk and then said, "Dad, I want to move out and live with Sandy." Hearing this, Ebenezer was slightly surprised and asked, "Why?"
Kenneth replied, "Sandy is pregnant and needs a peaceful environment. I want to give her a place where she can rest assured."
He didn't directly express his concerns, but Ebenezer instantly understood what he meant. Due to Sandy's true identity, Emma would definitely be very picky. So unless it was necessary, Sandy and Emma should indeed try to avoid living together.
Ebenezer was an open-minded person and agreed, "All right, you can decide for yourself." Kenneth smiled and said, "Thank you, Dad."
He was fortunate to have an open-minded father who gave him enough confidence to take care of Sandy.
Sandy looked at Kenneth with a dazed expression, feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness and gratitude.
Kenneth had considered everything for her, making Sandy feel lucky to be married to such a caring and gentle man.
She loved him so much! Suzy stood at the staircase, listening to their conversation, her grip on the railing tightening.
Kenneth was actually planning to move out and live alone with Sandy! She knew he must be afraid that Emma would cause trouble for Sandy when he wasn't home.
Suzy thought, 'Sandy was incredibly lucky to have Kenneth's love all to herself. Why did people I didn't like always end up with good men? Cora met Kenneth, and Nora met Aaron. And I always ended up with bad men who played with my feelings and tarnished my reputation!'
She was filled with envy, with her gaze turned malicious.
If she couldn't be happy, she wouldn't allow others to be happy either!
Last night, Aaron, who kept Nora entangled until midnight before she finally fell into a deep sleep, didn't sleep in the living room.
When she woke up, it was almost noon. Nora yawned as she got up, finished her morning routine, and went downstairs, where she heard Alex's voice. "Mommy."
Nora stunned and asked, "Alex, are you the only one at home?"
"Yes," he replied.
"Where are your siblings?" she asked.
"They were picked up by the people sent by Great-Grandpa and taken back to the Gordon Manor," he answered.
Adelbert had arranged for them to be brought back to the Gordon Manor. Nora suddenly realized that tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and Adelbert must want the whole family to be together.
Nora nodded, then thought of Aaron. She guessed he had also returned to Houston.
"Where did your Aaron go?" she inquired.
"He went back to Houston very early this morning," Alex replied.
'That annoying man has gone back,' Nora thought with great relief. 'Tonight, I can finally get a good night's sleep.'
"Mommy, are you going to see Matthew today?" Alex asked.
Nora snapped back to reality, thinking for a moment before replying, "I should go see him."
She hadn't had a chance to talk to Matthew in detail about his illness. But she found it strange that he wasn't coming home for Christmas. Didn't he have anyone waiting for him to reunite with his family?
"I want to go with you," Alex requested.
Nora was surprised and asked, "You want to go see Matthew with me? Why?"
"Erin has just started speaking, so maybe we should take this opportunity to guide her. Perhaps I am the one who can help her," Alex said earnestly.
Nora thought about how Erin had started speaking because of Alex, and she found his words reasonable, agreeing, "All right, let me contact Matthew first. If I decide to visit him, you can come with me."
"Okay," Alex nodded and replied. He wanted to go with Nora not because he wanted to help Erin speak but because he had promised Aaron to watch out for Matthew in his absence. Most importantly, he wanted to confirm Matthew's identity. Nora went upstairs to change her clothes and then sent a message to Matthew.
Nora: [Mr. Jones, do you have time? Can we meet?]
Matthew: [Yes. Let's meet at the Seaton Club.]
Matthew lived at the Seaton Club. He wanted her to come to his place to meet him. Nora: [OK]
If she had gone alone, she might have asked Matthew to choose a different meeting place, as she felt it was not quite appropriate to meet a man alone at his place. But since Alex was going with her, she didn't mind anymore. Moreover, Matthew was terminally ill, a dying man, and he had his daughter with him. Nora didn't think Matthew would have any ill intentions toward her. So, Nora calmly took Alex and went to the destination.
At the Seaton Club party, Suzy's gaze sharpened as she spotted Nora with Alex.
Wondering about Nora's unexpected presence, Suzy discreetly trailed her. She observed Nora entering the guest room and later boarding the elevator bound for the twenty-eighth floor.
Puzzled, Suzy mused, 'Why is Nora here during the day, visiting the guest room and heading to the presidential suite on the twenty-eighth floor? Is she on a date? And why bring a child along?' Suspecting a cover-up, Suzy was convinced Nora was using the child as a distraction.
Suzy's gaze darted around, and she said to her assistant, "Go to the front desk and ask who is staying on the twenty-eighth floor."
"Yes," the assistant replied.
