Chapter 376 Cut Off His Escape Route
Jenny chuckled, looked at Aaron's frown, stopped teasing him, and sat next to Edric.
Edric brought her some fruit and fed her a piece of melon, praising, "My girlfriend looks amazing when she dances."
Jenny swallowed the fruit in her mouth and glanced at the sleeping Kevin. "I don't think so. If I were dancing well, how could our VIP fall asleep just by watching?" she remarked, a bit disappointed.
"Well..." Edric looked at Nora.
Nora took the opportunity to join in, and explained, "It's not our fault. He's just too tired. I used treatment techniques to help him." Her treatment techniques naturally had a sleep-inducing effect.
Kevin's assistant became a bit nervous and couldn't help but reach out and check Kevin's breathing. When he discovered that Kevin was still breathing, he finally felt a sense of relief.
Nora laughed at his behavior and stood up to help Kevin find a more comfortable sleeping position as his body started to slump.
With the VIP guest asleep, there was nothing left for everyone else to do.
Jenny ate her fruit and asked, "So, are we just going to sit here and wait?"
At that moment, the door was pushed open, and Fabio walked in. Seeing that the room was quiet, he questioned, "Have I come at the wrong time, everyone?"
"No, Fabio, please have a seat," Edric greeted him.
Fabio smiled and greeted everyone before sitting on the couch. His gaze fell upon Kevin, who was sleeping. He lowered his voice and asked, "Edric, is your guest asleep?"
"Yes, Dr. Smith just treated him for headaches and insomnia, so he fell asleep," Edric replied.
Fabio suddenly realized this and gave Nora a thumbs up. "Dr. Smith is truly skilled."
Nora smiled and realized it was time to remove the medical equipment.
Kevin didn't move and was still sleeping soundly.
Nora gestured to the assistant to provide Kevin with a jacket so he wouldn't catch a cold. The assistant quickly grabbed a coat and placed it over him.
The room was very quiet, and Nora noticed that everyone was cautious and hesitant to speak. She laughed and said, "We can talk normally; he won't wake up for a while."
Once an insomniac relaxes their nerves, they won't even know if the situation outside is very terrible.
Everyone in the room relaxed.
Fabio opened a bottle of wine on the table and poured it for everyone.
Edric glanced at Jenny, fearing that she might be bored, and suggested, "Since we have nothing to do, why don't we play something?"
"Sure, what do you want to play?" Jenny asked.
"How about cards?" Edric suggested.
"I'm not very good at it, so why don't you guys play," Jenny replied, not particularly fond of card games.
"I'm not very good either, so why don't you guys play instead," Nora added, not enjoying card games either.
"What's fun for us three men? How about playing Truth or Dare?" Fabio suggested, considering the two girls' preferences.
Jenny and Nora glanced at each other and didn't object.
Fabio, being well-versed in the game, took the reins, creating an electrifying atmosphere. He asked the waiter to bring an empty bottle and said, "Whoever the bottle points to, that person must choose between Truth or Dare. Let's begin."
Everyone gathered around in a circle, and the game began. Fabio spun the bottle, and it landed on Edric.
"Edric, what will you choose?" Fabio asked.
"Dare," Edric responded confidently.
Fabio had a glint of mischievousness flash from his eyes, smirked, and said, "Then, Edric, you have to kiss one of us for five minutes- French kiss!"
His demeanor was similar to Edric's—they both had a naughty side. However, Fabio was even more beautiful than a woman, so this mischievousness was well disguised.
"Jenny, come here," Edric said without hesitation and motioned with his finger. Jenny was flushed as she slowly moved towards him, biting her lip.
Edric chuckled softly and lifted her onto his lap, then leaned in to kiss her. Jenny closed her eyes, surrendering to the moment.
Fabio watched with interest and raised his glass to toast Aaron.
"Mr. Gordon, I suppose this beautiful lady is Edric's girlfriend?" he asked.
"Yes," Aaron replied, taking a sip of his drink.
"Their relationship seems good! Just look at Edric's reaction," Fabio commented with a suggestive smile.
Aaron glanced at him and said, "Fabio, be careful. My girlfriend is a bit sensitive."
Nora felt a bit embarrassed by the men's conversation. They tend to be annoying when they're together.
To break the awkwardness, she got up and said, "I'll go to the restroom."
Fabio laughed and said, "Apologies, Ms. Smith. I am just joking. Please, don't mind it."
Nora smiled and quickly walked towards the restroom.
Once she was gone, Fabio whistled playfully in Edric's direction. "Edric, there are still four minutes left. Be more passionate; a shallow kiss won't cut it!" he teased.
Edric turned with Jenny in his arms, making sure his back faced Fabio to prevent him from seeing Jenny's face.
Fabio smirked and said, "Edric, you are so considerate."
Edric couldn't say anything while he was preoccupied, so Fabio turned to Aaron and clinked his glass with his serious expression and said, "Mr. Gordon, I feel it's necessary to tell you that my older brother has been up to something lately."
"What?" Aaron asked.
"You know about the Rochester Society, right?" Fabio inquired.
"Yes, an internationally renowned gang specialized in doing things that wealthy people would rather keep in the dark," Aaron replied.
Fabio played with his glass and continued, "My brother has a good relationship with the boss, and he has been frequently in contact with their society, lately."
Aaron narrowed his eyes and asked, "What does he want to do?"
Fabio took a sip of his drink and looked at him, saying, "You and Dr. Smith have both offended him, so it's hard to say. You better be more cautious."
He implied that Ken could use external forces to go after Aaron and Nora.
Aaron took a drink, a glint of coldness flickering in his deep eyes as he remarked, " In a world filled with villains. defenses often seem futile."
Hearing this, Fabio raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you mean?"
"Cut off his escape route!" Aaron said coldly.
Fabio smiled and clinked glasses with him, "If you need help, we, the Turner family, should clean house as well."
Fabio had been waiting for an opportunity such as this. Now that his father had put him in charge of the Turner's Group, it was his chance to make drastic changes.
"Has the time come?" Edric released Jenny and asked.
Fabio glanced at the time, and said, "Edric has a good sense of timing, exactly five minutes."
Edric embraced Jenny, a seductive look in his eyes, "Were you satisfied from watching us?"
Fabio turned to Aaron, "Mr. Gordon, did you find it satisfying?"
Aaron remained calm, "I didn't see anything."
Fabio shrugged, "Did you hear that? You cover your girlfriend so well; how can we see anything?"
