Chapter 643 Could It Be Jackson
Aaron chuckled in his chest, "Nora, did the impostor flirt with you like I just did?"
Nora rolled her eyes and ignored him.
Thinking about something, she looked puzzled and asked, "But it's still a bit strange. I once tested that impostor. You're allergic to fast food, and when I found that something was off with him, I deliberately let him eat."
"But he hit the nail on the head, asking if I forgot he was allergic to fast food. Aaron, do many people know about your allergy?"
Upon hearing this, Aaron's face became more serious.
He said, "It's impossible; I didn't even know I was allergic to fast food. It was the first time I had an allergic reaction since you saved me at your house."
If that was the case, how did the impostor know?
Nora pondered and said, "That's strange. Is the impostor so cunning?"
Aaron looked at the deep black night, his eyes narrowed, and a thought suddenly popped into his mind.
He said, "Nora, there may be two possibilities."
"What are the two possibilities?" Nora's spirits lifted.
"One is that the impostor is a member of the Gordon family. The other is that the impostor learned about my fast food allergy from a member of the Gordon family," Aaron said.
Nora didn't understand and asked, "Why do you say that?"
Aaron explained, "I have always lived a luxurious life since I was a child, never eating fast food or similar foods, but that doesn't mean my family doesn't know about my fast food allergy. If they knew, they wouldn't let me eat allergenic foods, so naturally, I wouldn't find about about my fast food allergy."
"Outsiders wouldn't know, but members of the Gordon family would. Either the impostor is a member of the Gordon family who is familiar with my habits, or a member of the Gordon family who is at odds with me informed him. Since the impostor wants to impersonate me, he must have made thorough preparations, knowing all about my habits."
Aaron's reasoning was logical.
Nora, lost in thought, suddenly thought of a person.
She asked, "Aaron, do you think the impostor could be Jackson?"
He was the person most at odds with Aaron and closest to him.
He had always wanted power but had been suppressed by Aaron to the dust.
Now, He had no place in the Gordon Group.
Maybe he was unwilling to accept this, so Jackson was trying to make a comeback.
"I'm of the same mind. The impostor could very well be Jackson." Aaron's gaze turned cold. "Jackson is about the same height and build as me. If you don't look at his face, just his back, he does look a lot like me."
Upon hearing this, Nora remembered one morning at Aaron's manor when she heard a man's voice in Aaron's room. Now thinking back, she realized that voice did sound a bit like Jackson's.
Putting all these pieces together, she was more certain that the impostor was indeed Jackson.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through her mind about the paternity test she had done.
Billy and the impostor were blood-related; Billy and he were close relatives.
At this moment, Aaron's grip around her waist was firm, his breath so familiar.
Nora felt a shiver run down her spine.
Not for any other reason but for the excitement of a certain speculation.
Aaron and Jackson were cousins; they were blood-related.
The biological father of those three children must be Aaron!
With this realization, a wave of excitement surged through Nora.
"Aaron..." Nora said.
"Don't make a sound; there might be wolves in the woods!" Aaron suddenly interrupted Nora.
Nora had wanted to clarify what happened that night four years ago, but upon hearing his words, she stopped herself.
Following Aaron's gaze, she saw two shiny green eyes staring in their direction in the night.
Those were wolf eyes!
Nora's heart skipped a beat, and she unconsciously moved closer to Aaron, asking, "Aaron, there are wolves; what should we do?"
"Don't be afraid. Wolves are actually afraid of humans. As long as we don't make any sudden movements, they won't harm us," Aaron reassured her in a deep voice, holding Nora's waist tightly.
Nora swallowed nervously and said, "Are you sure? That's a wild animal, and after finally seeing two living creatures, won't it really try to devour us?"
Aaron coughed lightly and said, "I'm not entirely sure."
Nora was speechless.
Not sure, yet he dared to speak so confidently!
"What are we waiting for, then? Wolves are afraid of fire. Let's quickly take out our phones and turn on the lights!" Nora said.
A hint of amusement flashed in Aaron's eyes, and he said, "Yes."
He naturally knew what to do.
However, at this moment, he pretended to be fragile and followed Nora's commands.
Aaron had a phone on him, which belonged to Noe, and he turned on the light.
Nora also turned on the flashlight, and the two of them aimed it towards the direction of the wolf.
Startled, the wolf howled at the sky and then ran deeper into the woods.
Aaron and Nora both breathed a sigh of relief, embraced each other, and cautiously continued forward.
After walking for who knew how long, they didn't find a place to rest but instead noticed something was amiss.
"Nora, I'm feeling a bit unwell." Aaron, feeling weak, was the first to feel discomfort.
Nora was shocked. Looking at Aaron's pale face, she asked, "What's wrong? Is your wound hurting?"
Aaron furrowed his brow, clutching his chest. "I feel tightness in my chest, and I'm having trouble breathing a bit."
Without further questioning, Nora quickly checked his pulse. Then, she discovered signs of poisoning in Aaron.
How could he have been poisoned?
Nora's face turned serious as she carefully checked his pulse; looking into the endless darkness, she had a faint answer in her mind.
If she wasn't mistaken, Aaron had probably inhaled some toxic fumes.
Normally, these poisonous fumes wouldn't have a significant impact on the body, but Aaron was weak at the moment.
If these fumes weren't expelled immediately, Aaron probably wouldn't make it out of the forest tonight.
Nora quickly helped Aaron to sit under a tree, leaning him against the trunk.
She then took out a silver needle and pricked him at the corresponding acupoints.
At the same time, she took Aaron's hand and pricked his index finger, letting some blood flow out.
Aaron furrowed his brow, feeling weak, and asked, "Nora, what's happening to me?"
Nora said, "Don't speak for now; there are toxic fumes in the forest."
Aaron looked at her earnest face, filled with tenderness.
Thank goodness Nora was there.
She was his good luck charm
Thinking of something, after Nora finished drawing blood for him, Aaron untied a layer of white gauze from his chest and covered Nora's nose and mouth with it.
Nora didn't refuse, just glanced at Aaron's chest.
Fortunately, there were two layers of gauze wrapped around his chest, so removing one layer only revealed another.
Nora stared at Aaron's strong chest muscles and suddenly said, "Aaron, who helped you bandage your wound? Elara or Seraphina?"
"It was Seraphina," Aaron answered truthfully, "She is kinder than Elara, and she was the one who let me out to see you."
