Chapter 950 Feeling Jealous
The four of them hopped in the car and headed to the airport.
At 2 PM, Mateo's private jet touched down at Youston Airport.
Mateo, a prince of Hchilia, was greeted not just by Aaron and his crew but also by some bigwigs from Chrisland.
After getting off the plane and exchanging pleasantries with the bigwigs, Mateo hugged Aaron and Nora. This kind of closeness was reserved just for them.
Gabriella noticed Mateo's affectionate gaze towards Nora and smiled to herself. It seemed Mateo still had feelings for Nora, but his status forced him to keep them hidden.
"Ms. Costa, we meet again," Mateo said, raising an eyebrow at Gabriella.
Mateo remembered seeing Gabriella at Hugo's estate, where she had tried to seduce Aaron. He didn't expect her to follow Aaron to Chrisland and even come to greet him today. Clearly, Aaron and Nora hadn't caught on to Gabriella's intentions.
"Prince Mateo, you have a good memory. Nice to see you here," Gabriella said, extending her hand.
They shook hands, and Mateo asked, "Ms. Costa, are you here for work or fun?"
"Both," Gabriella replied, glancing at Aaron and Nora. "Mr. Gordon and Mrs. Gordon are very kind, allowing me to blend business with pleasure.
Aaron and Nora were indeed very kind, almost to a fault, as they hadn't realized Gabriella's true intentions.
"Prince Mateo, shall we talk as we walk?" Aaron suggested.
"Sure," Mateo agreed.
They all got into the car and headed to the Gordon Group's exclusive resort for VIPs.
In the large conference room, with official leaders present, Aaron was just there to accompany and listen.
An hour later, the official discussions wrapped up, and the leaders left, leaving Aaron to handle the rest.
After seeing off the officials, Aaron checked the time. "Shall we grab a bite, Prince Mateo?"
"Sure, I'm game," Mateo replied casually.
Aaron looked at Johnnie and asked him to make arrangements. Johnnie nodded and made a call as he walked ahead.
Mateo approached Nora and asked, "Nora, are you tired?"
Nora smiled, "Can you all stop treating me like I'm fragile? I'm not that weak."
Mateo smiled gently. "You're not fragile, but you are important."
Aaron, seeing Mateo's fawning, frowned and pulled Nora into his arms. "Honey, are you hungry?"
Nora gave him a withering look. "Stop making a scene."
Aaron's jaw tightened. "What? Can't I talk to my wife?"
Nora rolled her eyes and stayed silent, clearly annoyed.
Seeing this, Mateo said, "Aaron, Nora is pregnant. Keeping her happy is important, so don't upset her."
Aaron shot him a cold look. "Just stay away from her, and I won't get upset."
Mateo chuckled. "Aaron, have you forgotten I'm your guest?"
Aaron's tone was icy. "If you're using business as an excuse to get close to her, I can end our cooperation right now."
"Enough, Aaron. Can you separate business from personal matters?" Nora chided Aaron with a sharp edge to her voice, pulling her hand away from Aaron's.
Aaron was taken aback, a flash of embarrassment crossing his face. He stared at Nora for a couple of seconds, then clenched his fists and walked ahead, his face tense.
The atmosphere grew tense.
Mateo wondered if he had taken the joke too far. "Prince Mateo, welcome to Chrisland, enjoy your time here," Nora said gently, slowing her pace.
Mateo snapped out of it and asked quietly, "Nora, is Aaron really mad?"
"Don't worry about him," Nora replied.
Mateo nodded, glancing at her belly. "How do you feel? Can you feel the baby moving?"
Nora placed her hand on her belly and smiled. "Not yet, it's still too early."
Mateo said, "I've read that you need to be extra careful in the first three months."
"Yes, I know."
As they chatted, Gabriella watched, smiling. Her gaze fell on Aaron, who looked increasingly somber. The smile in Gabriella's eyes deepened. This was the first time she had seen Nora scold Aaron in public and the first time Aaron didn't try to appease her.
She thought, 'Is Nora spoiled? Doesn't she know a man's pride is important? She's dissing Aaron in front of Mateo. She's courting disaster!'
The group entered the estate's banquet hall, where Johnnie was waiting. Smooth music played, the venue was beautiful, and young attendants in uniforms lined up. The banquet hall had the highest standards of reception etiquette.
Mateo was approachable, always smiling and nodding at the manager and attendants. Amid the attendants' welcome, he and Nora entered a private room.
As they sat down, Nora's phone rang. It was her mother, Emma.
"Prince Mateo, I need to take this call."
"Go ahead."
Nora stepped outside, and Aaron watched her leave, his face still tense.
Mateo turned to Aaron. "Are you mad at Nora?"
Aaron replied coldly, "How could I be mad at her?"
Mateo smiled. "Then you're mad at me?"
"You're not that dumb," Aaron retorted.
Mateo was speechless. "Aaron, you're acting like a child. If I weren't a prince, I would really..."
"What would you really do?" Aaron's cold eyes swept over, his tone warning.
"What do you think?" Mateo countered.
Aaron's expression darkened. "Mateo, I'm warning you again, stay away from my wife!"
Mateo said, "Aaron, please treat me with more respect. Remember, I'm a guest in Chrisland."
Aaron replied, "If you're not deaf, you should've heard me say I don't care about the cooperation."
