Chapter 801 Forcing Me to Admit to Cheating
Edric furrowed his brows, looking speechless.
"You really knew about it. I don't even know what to say about what you have done."
Jenny bit her lip lightly, looking at Edric's darkened face, feeling guilty.
"Are you angry? I know this was a bit rebellious, and it's normal for you to be upset. If you're disappointed in me and want to..."
Edric suddenly looked up. "Jenny, are you bringing up divorce again?"
Anger flashed in Edric's eyes. Jenny swallowed nervously and awkwardly reached for his hand.
"I'm not bringing it up. I'm giving you the choice."
Edric grabbed Jenny's hand and pulled her into his arms.
His long fingers lifted Jenny's chin, grinding his teeth.
"Honey, you know I love you and wouldn't dare do anything to you."
Jenny was initially very anxious.
Hearing Edric's indulgent yet helpless tone, her heart softened.
"Honey, I'm sorry."
Edric sighed, looking into her clear eyes, and asked, "Whose idea was this?"
Jenny's eyes flickered. She broke free from Edric's hand and reached up to smooth her hair.
"It was mine."
Edric sneered. "No way it was you. You don't have the guts."
Edric knew Jenny's personality well.
Jenny would never come up with such an idea.
"Don't ask anymore. All in all, we did this for our future."
Jenny was vague, then seriously said, "Edric, I want to grow old with you. I used Betsy to provoke Mom, making her empathize. That way she won't try to push other women on you anymore. This way, it's once and for all."
Edric stared into Jenny's beautiful eyes, grinding his teeth.
"Honey, you do have some good friends. Nora, and now, Becky, I guess this idea came from Becky?"
Hearing this, Jenny blinked curiously. "Why do you think that?"
Edric snorted. "Because she's more cunning than you and Nora."
Jenny couldn't help but laugh. "Next time, I'll tell Becky you said she's cunning."
"Suit yourself," Edric replied expressionlessly.
Jenny's eyes twinkled, and she leaned up to kiss him on the lips.
"Don't be mad, okay?"
Edric stared at her. "What if I'm still mad?"
Jenny blinked. "Then, I'll make it up to you tonight?"
Edric's brown eyes darkened, and he leaned in to hold her, "I want your compensation now."
Jenny's face flushed, and she pushed against his chest. "Stop it; let's go to the hospital to see Mom first."
When it came to serious matters, Edric naturally put aside all romantic thoughts.
The appearance of Betsy had almost led Edward to emotional infidelity.
Who knew what the Bishop family would be like in the future?
Not to mention the future, there would be trouble now.
And this truth couldn't be told to Fiona. But should they tell Edward the truth to stop his thoughts?
But once Edward knew, he would surely resent Jenny.
This would not be good for Jenny.
So, they couldn't tell Edward.
But if they didn't tell Edward, he would keep thinking about Betsy.
Nothing worked; it was really a headache!
All the way, Edric furrowed his brows and remained silent.
Jenny, seeing this, knew she was in the wrong and didn't dare to speak.
When they arrived at the hospital, Fiona had just woken up and was clamoring to be discharged.
Edward was persuading her, "The doctor said your body is weak; you need to stay on IV for a few more days before you can be discharged."
Fiona shouted, "You won't let me leave because you're afraid I'll go find that woman. Edward, I'm telling you, even if you hide her, I'll find her!"
Edward furrowed his brows. "Here you go again. I told you, I have nothing to do with her. She's just an ordinary singer."
Fiona angrily said, "Edward, you're still lying. I'm not blind!"
Edward said, "I told you it's just a misunderstanding. Why won't you listen!"
"What? You want to say I'm being unreasonable? Do you think that woman outside is more kind and understanding?"
"You!"
At the door, hearing Fiona and Edward's argument, Edric furrowed his brows, looking frustrated.
Jenny pulled his hand, looking apologetic.
Edric sighed, patted her hand, adjusted his expression, and pushed the door open.
"Mom, stop arguing with Dad. I went to confront that woman, and it really was a misunderstanding. There was nothing between Dad and her."
At this point, he could only help reconcile Fiona and Edward.
"Dad, Mom." Jenny followed into the ward, greeting Fiona and Edward.
Seeing Edric and Jenny appear together, Edward felt a bit embarrassed.
After all, as an elder, he had to save face.
Edward cleared his throat and said to Fiona, "Did you hear that? Edric has gone to see her. There's nothing between us, so stop making wild guesses."
Fiona breathed heavily, staring at Edric.
"Edric, did you really see that woman?"
Edric nodded. "Yes, I did."
"What kind of person is she?"
"She's just an ordinary singer."
Fiona looked at Edric, clearly not believing him.
"She's just an ordinary singer? I don't believe it. Edric, I know these lowly singers too well. She must be aware of your dad's status and is purposely using singing as an excuse to get close to him. These women are good at sweet-talking. If you don't use some means, they won't admit it."
Hearing this, Edward furrowed his brows, looking displeased.
"I told you, but you don't believe me. Edric went to see her, and you still don't believe it. Do you want to force a confession and make me admit to infidelity?"
Fiona glared at him. "Edward, you has never been a loyal husband. If it weren't for my family's influence that female secretary might have become your mistress when you were young!"
Edward felt embarrassed by Fiona's revelation.
"Can you restrain yourself in front of the kids? Do you have to bring up old matters!"
"Now you feel ashamed? I want your son and daughter-in-law to know what kind of person you really are!"
Jenny listened to Fiona and Edward's argument, her eyes flickering.
So Edward had such romantic affairs when he was young.
No wonder Edric was a flirt. It was inherited.
"If you feel ashamed, don't do things that make others laugh!"
Fiona pressed her advantage.
Edward was furious. "You're simply unreasonable. After all this, you just want to force me to admit to infidelity. Fine, I admit it. Are you satisfied now?"
