Chapter 553 I Just Want You By My Side
Finally, Sandy couldn't hold back any longer.
Sandy insisted, "Nora, please go back. I'm used to sleeping alone. I don't like sharing my space."
A glimmer of amusement flickered in Nora's eyes. She turned to the old lady, and asked, "Madam, can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Of course," the old lady replied warmly with a smile.
Sandy couldn't take it anymore and said, "Nora, let's talk outside."
"All right," Nora agreed and followed her out with a cheerful smile.
Taking a deep breath, Sandy said, "Nora, stop this. Please go back."
Nora shook her head, and replied, "I won't. Just like you said, everyone has the freedom to live their own life. You can't force me."
Sandy gave a bitter smile. She requested, "Nora, please don't push me. I'm really tired. Right now, I just want to safely deliver the baby."
Hearing this, Nora's expression turned serious. She reached out and held Sandy's hand, and said, "Sandy, Suzy is dead. No one will bully you anymore. Please come back with me."
A trace of sadness flashed in Sandy's eyes. She replied, "Nora, you don't understand. I'm scared. I'm afraid that if I go back, bad things will happen to the family."
Nora frowned, and chided, "Sandy, you're not a jinx. Kenneth's accident had nothing to do with you."
Sandy gave a self-deprecating smile and replied, "Even so, I can't forgive myself. If anything bad happens to you all, I'll blame myself. I'm really tired!"
She added, "Nora, if you want me to safely deliver my baby, please let me stay here alone, okay?"
Her pleading eyes were heart-wrenching.
Nora understood her concerns and sighed.
Nora asked, "Then what about after you give birth? Do you really want to divorce Kenneth?"
Hearing this, Sandy raised her hand to touch her own face.
Sandy said, "Nora, I've already been disfigured. If Kenneth wakes up after I give birth and he still wants to be with me, then I won't divorce him."
She gave herself a dream, which also served as an excuse to placate Nora. Because she felt the probability of that happening was very low. She wasn't sure if Kenneth would wake up.
Sandy thought, 'If he wakes up and sees what I look like now, what will happen? Kenneth is so outstanding. Will he really still accept me? Impossible. So, we're destined to be parallel lines in the future.'
Nora replied, "All right, don't forget your promise!"
Hearing her words, a strong sense of determination surged in Nora's heart. She was determined to wake Kenneth up. At the same time, she would find a way to heal the scars on Sandy's face!
Nora didn't stay any longer. After saying goodbye to Sandy, she took her bodyguards and boarded a private plane back to Lindwood City.
At this time, Aaron was at the Hamilton Manor. He had heard that Nora went to find Sandy, so he had come to the Hamilton Villa to wait for her. The other members of the Hamilton family were also at home.
Emma was somewhat unhappy. Ebenezer and Howard were waiting for Nora to bring Sandy back. However, they were destined to be disappointed.
Seeing Nora return alone, Howard immediately asked, "Nora, didn't Sandy come back with you?"
"No, Sandy still thinks she's a jinx. She refuses to come back," Nora replied and sat down on the sofa.
Aaron handed her a glass of juice that he had prepared in advance.
Nora smiled and took the juice, drinking half of it in one go.
"Did you tell her that Kenneth's accident wasn't her fault?" Ebenezer asked.
"Yes, but Sandy said she's too tired. She just wants to give birth to the baby for now. She'll think about other things after that," Nora said honestly.
Emma, sitting on the side, said, "She knows herself well."
Ebenezer glared at her. "What are you talking about? Don't forget that Sandy is still carrying Kenneth's child."
Emma wanted to argue, but seeing Nora and Howard staring at her, she kept quiet.
"It was her decision not to come back. I was just making a comment. Why are you so harsh on me?" Emma muttered.
Ebenezer glared at her again but didn't say anything more.
Nora said, "Sandy is staying by the sea. The environment there is nice, but the living conditions are definitely not as good as ours. Since Sandy refuses to come back, I'm thinking about how to ensure her nutrition and living conditions so she can give birth to a healthy baby in a few months."
Hearing this, Aaron raised an eyebrow as if to say it wasn't even an issue to begin with.
Aaron said, "That's simple. We can airlift fresh ingredients and have someone take care of her daily life."
Nora glanced at him, smiled, and praised, "Good idea."
She thought, 'A private plane only takes about half an hour to get there. Although it's expensive, the Hamilton family is wealthy. As long as Sandy can safely deliver the baby, the cost is insignificant.'
She added, "Also, the medical supplies and personnel there are probably lacking. When I went there today, Sandy was even helping others deliver babies. Isn't that too exhausting?" Nora mentioned another issue.
Aaron was silent for a moment, then said, "We can encourage medical volunteers to go there and assist."
Nora looked at him happily and said, "Another good idea."
Aaron smiled, and said, "I'll arrange both of these things. Don't worry."
Nora had been waiting for his promise. She found him very reliable.
"All right, can you arrange it all by tomorrow?" Nora asked with a smile.
"Tomorrow? So soon?" Aaron asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Yes, Sandy is suffering. I can't wait another day!" Nora said.
"Okay, I'll get it arranged," Aaron said.
Nora felt a warm feeling in her heart. Because Alex and Noe were no longer with Aaron, she felt a bit guilty thinking about it.
Nora asked, "Aaron, with Noe gone, who will you have arrange the work?"
"My other assistant, Johnnie," Aaron said, taking out his phone.
Nora couldn't help but hold his hand. "With Noe gone, are you getting used to it?"
Aaron looked up at her and held her small hand.
Aaron replied, "As long as you're by my side, I can get used to anything else." His words were filled with deep affection and a hint of determination.
Nora was deeply moved.
She smiled, feeling a sweet warmth in her heart.
Howard, standing nearby, looked at them with jealousy.
He chided playfully, "Aaron, control yourself."
Howard thought, 'Aaron is so good at pleasing women! I really need to learn from him. Maybe I can be like him too.'
Ebenezer also smiled. Although Nora didn't bring Sandy back, his mood had improved.
Emma frowned, feeling a bit displeased. She scolded, "Nora, come over here. You two aren't married yet, don't be so intimate."
She thought, 'Nora just came back to us. I don't want her to get married so soon!'
