Chapter 777 Making a Quick Buck

"Millie, why did you sneak out alone?" Billy asked displeasedly.

Millie blinked her big eyes and subconsciously glanced at the young man being restrained, saying, "I was just feeling bored and wanted to come out and play."

"Billy, we just found him trying to take Millie to the back door," the guard protecting Millie reported.

Billy's face turned cold as he looked at the young man.

The young man struggled. "I didn't do anything."

Billy stared at him, squinting, realizing that this young man looked familiar.

This young man was Nathan, the one who was distributing flyers at the kindergarten gate.

"You've misunderstood; he is not a bad person; he didn't try to take me away. I heard a puppy barking and asked him to take me to play. Billy, please tell the guard to let go of him quickly," Millie said urgently, shaking Billy's hand.

Billy held her hand and instructed the guard, "Let him go."

"Yes."

Following orders, the guard released Nathan.

Nathan straightened his clothes, moving the arm that had been pulled.

Billy glanced at him, then turned to Millie. "Millie, our teacher taught us not to go with strangers, or you might get kidnapped."

Millie blinked her big eyes. "But he is not a stranger; he even gave us fans last time."

"That's not allowed either. If you sneak off like this again without a word, I won't talk to you anymore," Billy said sternly with a serious expression.

"No, I won't do it next time!" Millie hurriedly replied.

"Let's go." Billy was satisfied and led her back.

As Millie walked away, she glanced back at Nathan, secretly waving to him.

It wasn't that she didn't want to tell Billy that she came to the backyard to play.

Nathan told her not to tell Billy, or they wouldn't let him take her out to play with the puppy.

It was a pity she almost got to see the newborn puppies!

Watching the two small figures of Billy and Millie leave, Nathan behind them moved his sore arm, his eyes flickering with a hidden light.

Billy returned to the banquet hall with Millie, where Alex sternly criticized Millie for a few words.

Millie obediently listened, and the matter passed.

Nora and Aaron were unaware of what had happened.

At that moment, Nora was in the dressing room with Becky.

Betsy had just finished her performance on stage and was preparing to remove her makeup.

Seeing Nora and Becky enter together, she immediately became wary.

"Why are you here?" Becky crossed her arms, strolling slowly towards her, sneering.

"Betsy, you're so flirtatious; there's no man you can't seduce, right? You've been blacklisted by the entertainment industry because of those scandals; how come you still haven't learned your lesson? Now you're trying to seduce Caden in Youston, do you think you're invincible?" Becky's words made Betsy tense.

She quickly looked at Nora. "Ms. Smith, I've told you, I didn't seduce Mr. Gordon; I was just singing for them."

Nora remained silent, planning to let Becky attack Betsy first.

When Betsy's mental defenses were about to collapse, Nora would then make her request.

"Betsy, stop pretending in front of me. We're all in the same circle; what are you planning? Don't think I don't know!" Becky spoke sharply, her slender fingers poking Betsy's chest.

Betsy winced, her face changing color.

She took two steps back. "What do you want?"

"What do I want?" Becky glanced at the makeup table, then picked up an eyebrow razor and gestured it on Betsy's face.

"If I were to give you two cuts on your face and make you look like a monster, do you think the men outside would still want to hear you sing?" The icy blade pressed against Betsy's face, making her pale in fear, not daring to move.

She pleaded to Nora, "Please, Ms. Smith, save me, I really didn't seduce Mr. Gordon!"

Nora felt she had scared her enough and spoke up, "Becky, give her a way out, don't ruin her face; she still needs it to make a living."

Becky's eyes flashed with cunning, obediently nodding and playing with the razor.

"Fine, I'll listen to you."

Betsy swallowed hard, shrinking her shoulders as she looked at the razor in Becky's hand, still in shock.

Nora sat on the sofa and spoke, "Betsy, tell me, what are your plans for the future? Do you intend to sing for the rest of your life?"

At the question, Betsy lowered her head, a hint of anger flashing in her eyes.

'Nora was mocking me.'

'If it weren't for Nora, I wouldn't have fallen to this point.'

Betsy resented it in her heart but dared not show it on her face.

"Now, besides singing, I don't know what else I can do," Betsy replied.

Nora asked again, "How much can you earn in a day from singing?"

Betsy looked at her, unsure of Nora's intentions.

"My salary at the theater is not high, but the tips are slightly better when I sing for Mr. Yancy and them," Betsy replied.

Nora nodded. "I've already told you to stay away from Caden. With that, you probably won't get those high tips anymore."

Betsy's fingers tightened.

Yes, now that Nora had found her, she probably wouldn't let her sing for Caden anymore.

And Caden was always the most generous; if she lost his tips, she would return to a life of poverty!

Nora looked at Betsy, who was angry but silent, smiling slightly and changing her posture.

The soft light cascading down on Nora made her look like a queen, in control of the situation.

"Betsy, I have a proposal now that can make you a quick buck. Are you interested?" Nora asked.

Betsy was stunned, looking at Nora cautiously.

"What dose she mean?"

'Let her make money.'

'Nora wouldn't be so kind.'

Betsy had a bad feeling about it.

"I'll provide the money, and you help me seduce an older man," Nora said.

Betsy widened her eyes, stuttering, "What did you say? You want me to seduce an older man?"

"Yes," Nora replied calmly.

Betsy felt Nora was testing her.

She swallowed hard and said, "Ms. Smith, don't deceive me; I won't seduce Mr. Gordon again. I can swear to God if I ever try to seduce him again..."

"Stop," Nora interrupted Betsy, "I'm serious. Of course, the person I want you to seduce has nothing to do with Caden."

Betsy stared at Nora's exquisite face, still not believing.

Becky, on the side, was getting impatient.

"Betsy, are you in or not? Seduction is your forte, and now it's like handing you money. If you keep playing coy, I swear I'll smack you right now!"
