Chapter 794 Stay Away from My Wife
When Edric heard Jenny say that he was the only one she liked, his mood brightened for a moment.
But when he heard the second half of the sentence, his face darkened again.
Edric snapped, "Jenny, you still want to divorce me? You are my wife, and you will always be my wife!"
Jenny glanced at him. "We'll talk about this when we get home!"
Edric kept silent with a stern face, but his large hand wrapped around her small hand, not letting go.
Jenny looked at Ulysses. "Ulysses, I'm sorry, my husband didn't separate personal and professional matters. I originally thought it was wrong for him to terminate the contract with you, but given your current attitude, I also think we are not suitable to work together anymore."
"You are young and talented. I believe you will have a bright future even after leaving Galactic Media. I wish you all the best in your new company."
After saying this, Jenny turned to Edric and said, "Let's go."
Hearing her words, Edric felt a bit more at ease.
He responded with a cold glance at Ulysses.
"You'd better stay away from my wife, or don't blame me for being rude!"
Watching Edric leave with Jenny, Ulysses clenched his fingers slightly.
Jenny really didn't like him.
Ahead, after leaving the café, Jenny shook off Edric's hand and walked towards the company with a stern face.
Edric grabbed her. "Jenny, we need to talk."
Jenny said expressionlessly, "I don't want to talk."
Edric squinted. "You don't want to talk?"
"Yes, there's nothing to talk about, so why bother?"
Edric looked frustrated. "So what do you want? Do you really want to divorce me?"
Jenny turned her head away and kept silent.
With a stern face, Edric pulled her towards his car.
Jenny frowned. "Let go, where are you taking me?"
Edric remained silent, pulling her into the car with a cold face.
As the car door closed, the air seemed to freeze.
Looking at Jenny, who turned her head away from him, Edric suppressed his anger and turned her head towards him.
"Jenny, I know I've wronged you recently. I didn't handle things well. I've already asked Ursula to leave my house. You can calm down now."
Hearing this, Jenny's eyes flickered. "You kicked Ursula out? Didn't your mom faint from anger?"
Edric replied, "My mom did faint from anger."
Jenny added, "And you still dared to do that?"
Edric's thumb caressed her delicate face. "I had no choice. I'm just a scoundrel."
Hearing his helpless yet slightly aggrieved tone, Jenny felt both angry and amused.
The anger that had been building up in her heart dissipated a bit.
Seeing her expression soften, Edric lifted her chin. "Do you still want to divorce me now?"
Jenny's eyes flickered. "But your parents don't like me. If they find out that I was the one who posted the news about you and Ursula online, they'll dislike me even more. Then it won't be about whether I want to divorce you; they'll force you to divorce me."
Hearing this, Edric smirked. "Now you're afraid that they'll dislike you? Why didn't you think of this when you listened to Nora's instigation?"
Just thinking about Nora's idea made Edric angry.
His aura darkened a bit.
Jenny pulled away from his hand, her eyes avoiding his, feeling a bit guilty.
"Edric, you misunderstood Nora. The news had nothing to do with her, and it wasn't her idea. I approached her and asked her to find Alex to help me post the news online. She even advised me to think it through and analyze the pros and cons."
Hearing this, Edric frowned, clearly not believing it.
"Jenny, stop speaking up for her. I know your temperament. You're a kind and gentle girl; you wouldn't do something so extreme."
Jenny said, "When people are pushed to the limit, they'll do anything. At that time, I thought what you did to Ulysses was too much, so I wanted to retaliate a bit."
Mentioning Ulysses made Edric's face darken even more.
"Ulysses covets you, and you still think I was wrong?"
Jenny bit her lip and admitted her mistake. "I was impulsive. Nora told me that if you hadn't arrived at the club in time that night, he might have kissed me."
Hearing this, Edric started to feel uneasy.
"It really wasn't Nora who instigated you?"
"Why would I lie to you? It was really me who approached her," Jenny said.
Edric's face changed. Thinking about what he had said to Aaron, he felt a chill down his spine.
'Oh no, I had scolded Nora and even said I would cut ties with Aaron.'
'Should I go and apologize to Aaron and Nora immediately?'
"Nora is really something. If it wasn't her instigating you, why did she take the blame?"
Jenny glanced at him. "Isn't it because she was afraid we would really break up?"
That was true!
If Nora hadn't taken the call when Edric and Jenny talked on the phone that morning, given his temper, he might have impulsively said, "Fine, let's divorce!" when Jenny mentioned divorce.
After all, he was a proud man and couldn't stand Jenny talking back to him!
So now, thinking back, he had to thank Nora for stepping in.
"But I'm telling you, if you don't sort out the issues at home, I won't reconcile with you," Jenny said.
Edric came back to his senses, his brown eyes narrowing. "You dare not reconcile with me?"
Saying this, he pinched Jenny's delicate chin and kissed her.
Jenny raised her hand to push against his firm chest.
But Edric's kiss was so passionate and intense that she couldn't resist.
Soon, Jenny's body softened, allowing him to do as he pleased.
Edric's kiss gradually turned from passionate to gentle and lingering.
Just as Jenny was immersed in his gentle kiss, she suddenly heard two clicks.
She was slightly stunned, opened her eyes, and looked towards the source of the sound, only to see Edric holding a camera and taking two more photos.
Jenny looked at him in shock and pushed him away, asking, "What are you taking pictures of?"
Edric smiled mischievously. "Of course, I'm taking intimate photos of us."
He handed the phone to Jenny.
Jenny glanced at it, and the photos of the two of them were beautifully taken.
Sunlight streamed in through the car window, casting a soft glow.
The two of them were kissing passionately, like a perfect couple's portrait.
Jenny was speechless. "Could you really still manage to take pictures while we were kissing just now?"
Edric's gaze lingered on her lips as he nodded. "Well, yes. But it turns out juggling the two was more challenging than I thought. I got distracted and couldn't fully savor the moment."
Jenny rolled her eyes at him. "Why are you taking these?"
Edric replied, "To clear things up for you."
He looked helpless, then took the phone and started typing.
[Regarding the current rumors about me, Edric and I would like to respond as follows. Ms. Ford and I are just ordinary friends. The photos showing us entering a hotel together are true, but it was just a coincidence during a business trip.]
[My wife and I have a great relationship, and we plan to spend our lives together. I will never betray her. I swear to God. I hope everyone will stop making a fuss and wish my wife and me well!]
