"Tell me, who is she? I'll go find her," Edric said.
Edward frowned. "I told you, I just went to listen to her sing."
Edric said, "Dad, don't worry. I'm a reasonable person. As long as she doesn't ruin your marriage with Mom, I won't hurt her."
Edward furrowed his brows. Even if he didn't say anything, Edric had the ability to find out about Betsy.
After thinking it over, Edward decided not to hide it anymore.
"She's a theater singer named Betsy at the Grand Theater in Youston."
Edric pondered. "Dad, you stay here and take care of Mom. I'm going out for a bit."
Edward, still uneasy, said, "I'll say it again, there's nothing between us. If you dare to bully her, I won't forgive you!"
Edric gave him a deep look.
It was the first time Edric had seen Edward so nervous about a woman other than Fiona.

"Betsy is here, right?"

The manager didn't dare delay and quickly sent someone to fetch Betsy.
When Betsy heard that Edric had come to the theater, her heart pounded.
'Edric must be here to settle scores with me!'

Betsy quickly shook her head. "I didn't! I swear!"
Edric stood up and walked towards her step by step.
His cold aura made Betsy instinctively take two steps back.
Edric's lips curled into a cold smile. "If you didn't seduce my father, then what are you afraid of?"
Betsy swallowed, suppressing her fear, and barely managed to stand still.
"Who said I'm afraid? I'm not afraid!"
Edric sneered, his eyes cold.
He suddenly reached out and grabbed Betsy's delicate neck.
"Betsy, I'll ask you one more time. Did you deliberately use the pretext of singing to seduce my dad?"
Betsy's breath hitched, and she quickly said, "No, I didn't. Bodyguards!"
At this moment, the two bodyguards had already rushed over.
"Mr. Bishop, please let her go!"
Edric's face was as cold as ice. He looked at the two bodyguards, his brown eyes narrowing, feeling that they looked familiar.
"Who are you?"
"Mr. Bishop, we are Mr. Gordon's bodyguards," one of the bodyguards respectfully replied.
'Aaron's bodyguards.'
'No wonder I found them familiar.'
'They were indeed Aaron's bodyguards.'
'But why were Aaron's bodyguards here?'
"Are you protecting her?" Edric asked coldly.
"Yes, Mrs. Gordon asked us to protect Ms. Ward," the bodyguard replied.
Nora had asked them to protect Betsy.
Edric was stunned, his mind filled with questions.
Betsy, struggling to breathe, patted Edric's hand, trying to squeeze out a sentence. "Mr. Bishop, let go first. I have something to say."
Edric glanced at her and released his grip.
Betsy fell to the ground, coughing violently.
Edric looked down at Betsy, waiting for her coughing to subside, and coldly said, "Speak. What's going on? Why would Nora ask bodyguards to protect you?"
Betsy, rubbing her neck, looked terrified.
She got up from the ground, cautiously taking a step back.
"Mr. Bishop, you're a smart man. Why would I suddenly sing for your father, and why would Nora ask bodyguards to protect me? Think about it. Can't you figure it out?"
Edric's brown eyes narrowed, scrutinizing her.
After a moment, his face darkened. "Are you trying to say that you approached my dad under Nora's orders?"
Betsy hunched her shoulders. "That's your guess, not my words."
Edric's face darkened, his chest heaving slightly, his clenched fists cracking.

'Nora has actually sent Betsy to seduce my dad!'
