Chapter 627 How Stubborn Can You Be
"Zephyr!" Kenneth exuded a strong sense of hostility; his burning gaze seemed capable of devouring Zephyr.
Nora, from start to finish, held her heart high.
She understood that Zephyr was actually testing Kenneth. He wanted to see how deep his feelings for Sandy were.
"Enough, Dr. Wright. You don't need to test anymore. Kenneth has made it clear that Sandy is his wife; you have no chance; just let go!" Nora said.
Zephyr looked at Nora and said, "Dr. Smith, it's not that I won't let go; you've seen it, too, what attitude Kenneth has. His love for Sandy is not deep enough!"
Nora said, "Dr. Wright, I understand Kenneth. Even if he minds, it's about Sandy and your past, not anything else. You are Sandy's first love; he thinks that Sandy still has feelings for you, right?"
Kenneth's jawline tightened, and he turned away without saying a word. He had always been a high and mighty rich young man since he was young; his great pride made it difficult for him to bow his head for a moment.
Kenneth couldn't remain unconcerned about Sandy and her first love, Zephyr. Nor could he deny his true feelings by asserting that he was unaffected.
But Kenneth also didn't want to let go of Sandy's hand at this moment.
He was in a dilemma.
Seeing Kenneth holding back with crimson eyes, Sandy couldn't bear it anymore. She said, "Kenneth, I haven't been thinking about him, nor have I done anything to betray you."
Kenneth raised his gaze slowly, looking at Sandy's clear and sincere eyes. He had a lot to say, but he couldn't say a word.
After a while, he said hoarsely, "Come home with me."
At this moment, Kenneth didn't want to think about anything else. He just wanted to take Sandy home, love her well from now on, and never let her suffer again!
"I don't want to," Sandy shook her head and said.
"Why?" Kenneth asked.
"Because I'm not worthy of you." Sandy lowered her eyes, slightly reddened.
Kenneth stared at her and said, "You were worthy before; why do you suddenly feel unworthy now?"
Sandy hung her head and said, "In the past, I carried the title of my sister. Now that you all know, I'm not my sister; I'm Jinx, bringing disaster to you all."
Kenneth looked at her firmly and said, "Regardless of what you were called before and who you are now, I only know that now and in the future, you are my wife, Sandy. Come home with me!"
Kenneth's tone was gentle yet firm, with an air of indisputable dominance.
Tears streamed down Sandy's face.
Her throat felt like it was stuffed with cotton. She opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out.
Kenneth didn't let Sandy speak anymore; he just held her tightly and unceremoniously led her away.
Watching Kenneth and Sandy leave through the gate, Nora couldn't help but sweat for the two of them.
She sighed deeply, looking at the man standing dazed in place, feeling a slight sigh in her heart.
"Dr. Wright, my sister-in-law, won't come back again. What are your plans next, to stay here or..."
"I won't let go," Nora said.
Zephyr was speechless.
Nora's words were stuck in her throat, feeling that Zephyr was pitiful!
"Dr. Wright, how long will you cling to your views? Sandy has let you go, stop deluding yourself!" Nora said.
Zephyr clenched his fingers, saying, "I'm not deluding myself; Kenneth doesn't love her at all!"
Nora was speechless. Then she said, "You're not deluding yourself; you're just refusing to accept reality! Kenneth loves Sandy!"
"No, he doesn't love her! At least not as much as I do!" Zephyr's eyes slightly reddened as he growled softly.
Nora looked at him, shaking her head gently.
'Forget it,' she didn't bother working on Zephyr's thoughts. Because she couldn't get through to him, he had to figure it out himself.
"Dr. Wright, I remind you, don't try to ruin the relationship between Kenneth and Sandy, or I will treat you as an enemy," Nora said.
So far, she still has a good impression of Zephyr. Because although he had always been unforgettable to Sandy, he hadn't done anything to break up Sandy's marriage. Don't let her shatter her filter for him.
After saying that, Nora left. As she reached the door, she thought of something.
She asked, "Where's Jane? Why haven't I seen her?"
Zephyr's mind was wandering, and when he heard Nora's question, it seemed like his pent-up frustration found an outlet.
He said, "How would I know? I'm not her nanny, and you didn't ask me to keep an eye on her."
Nora was speechless.
Zephyr's temper flared up as soon as he spoke.
Nora smiled wryly. "Dr. Wright, they say the best way to forget a past love is to start a new one quickly. So, I have an idea for you. Jane is not bad. Why don't you go find her and start a romance with her?"
Zephyr was still in a daze, but when he heard her words, a look of disbelief appeared on his face.
He said, "What did you say?"
Nora said with a smile, "Dr. Wright, I believe your ears work fine. Find something to occupy yourself. When you have something to do, you won't feel so empty. Bye."
Zephyr stared at Nora's retreating figure, silently sneering.
She was asking him to date Jane, who was more manly than most men.
How could Nora come up with that?
He wasn't a garbage dump.
To stop him, Nora even tried to play matchmaker between him and Jane, the ungrateful female gangster.
It infuriated him!
Nora didn't know that Zephyr was already fuming, so she quickly caught up with Kenneth and Sandy and boarded the plane with them.
It wasn't until they were on the plane that Sandy's trance-like expression turned into one of anxiety. She said, "Nora, I can't go back with you guys; I need to get off."
Upon hearing this, Nora said quickly, "Sandy, Kenneth has just woken up. He's still very weak. He needs someone close to take care of him. Are you really unwilling to go back and take care of him?"
As she spoke, she glanced at Kenneth and winked at him.
Kenneth understood instantly; when Sandy looked over, he raised his hand to cover his chest, starting to cough violently.
Sandy looked anxious, quickly patting his back, then said to Nora, "Nora, could you please get a bottle of water for Kenneth?"
Nora smiled, readily agreeing.
As Kenneth coughed, he subtly curved his lips.
When Nora brought a bottle of water, Sandy quickly opened it and handed it to Kenneth. Only then did Kenneth stop coughing and take a sip of water.
After he finished, Sandy took the bottle, closed it, and set it aside. She said, "Kenneth, go rest in the cabin for a while."
The private plane was like a small suite with a dedicated resting area.
Kenneth said, "Come lie down with me for a while."
Sandy moved her lips, saying, "Let's go."
Without hesitation, Kenneth took her hand and led her to the resting area.
Watching their backs, Nora sighed and sat down to relax.
Kenneth's problem was basically resolved. But hers was not.
Had Alex found any clues, where was Aaron now?
