Chapter 442 Allowed Me to Stay by Aaron's Side
Before Aaron could speak, Quinn grabbed his arm again.
"Ugly Duckling, I'm not afraid to tell you. I'm Quinn, and I'm Nora's good friend. Nora is fully aware of my relationship with Aaron, and she allowed me to stay by his side." Quinn deliberately leaned her head on Aaron's arm, acting coquettishly.
Aaron glanced at her and tried to pull his hand away, but Quinn firmly held him down.
Aaron remained silent and motionless, watching how she would continue to act.
Olivia, who was mocked as the ugly duckling, glared at Quinn in anger, "You're shameless!"
Quinn's beautiful eyes flickered with a sense of pride as if she saw no shame in it.
"So what? Aaron likes me! Right, Aaron?"
Aaron gave her a cold glance but remained silent.
Olivia couldn't hear Aaron refute, and she couldn't believe it. "Mr. Gordon, is what she said true or not?"
Aaron still didn't say anything because he had no room to intervene.
"If you don't believe it, you can ask Nora! She said that a man like Aaron must have many women coveting him. She admired me, so she allowed me to stay by Aaron's side and monitor him. Once a woman is found to covet Aaron, I must report to her. You know, Nora is a doctor, a master healer with extraordinary medical skills. As long as she uses her medical equipment, she can make the women like you wish they were dead." Quinn smiled, but her smile didn't reach her eyes.
She frightened Olivia with vivid descriptions, making it sound like it was true.
Olivia swallowed, and her face turned slightly pale.
She knew Nora was a master healer, and she could even fix Ryan's broken hand.
So, could Nora really use her medical skills to kill those women who covet Aaron?
A chill ran through her body inexplicably. Olivia could almost imagine how painful it would be to have those long medical instruments piercing into her body.
"Aaron, let's go in and talk," Quinn advised.
Seeing Olivia's pale face, Quinn had a faint mocking look in his eyes.
Aaron didn't say anything, either. He pulled his hand away and turned to enter the CEO's office.
"Mr. Gordon!" Olivia yelled out.
Olivia came back to her senses and wanted to follow.
Noe stopped her in time, saying, "Ms. Olivia, please stay. This is not a place where an intern should go."
As he spoke, he glanced at the secretary.
The secretary understood and said to Olivia, "Please leave immediately."
Watching the CEO's office door close, Olivia's face changed rapidly.
That Quinn was really cunning. Was what she just said true?
Nora treated Quinn as a good friend, so it was possible that she secretly sent her to monitor Aaron.
But maybe Nora didn't even know that Quinn had already betrayed her and was having an affair with Aaron.
The reason why Quinn said that just now was to discourage her so that he could have Aaron all to herself!
As long as she can make Aaron develop feelings for her, she will certainly succeed in taking Quinn's place.
With this in mind, Olivia reinvigorated herself.
Anyway, she has already joined Gordon's group, so she will have opportunities to get closer to Aaron in the future.
In the office, Aaron poured a glass of water for Quinn and sat down on the sofa, asking, "Why are you here?"
Quinn sat across from him and brushed his hair back. "To talk about cooperation with you."
Aaron glanced at her and explained, "I remember during this time, there was no new cooperation to discuss between our two families."
"Wait a minute, you haven't said who that woman outside is!" Quinn had a gossip-filled look on her face.
"She's an irrelevant woman," Aaron said calmly.
"Really? Is she Nora's new-found sister?" Quinn questioned skeptically.
Aaron glanced at her and said, "Do you think someone as intelligent as Nora could find Olivia to be her sister?"
Quinn raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Well, true, so who is she then?"
"Olivia is a relative of the Woodhouse family. Her uncle is..." Aaron briefly explained Olivia's relationship with the Woodhouse family.
Quinn listened attentively, nodding thoughtfully.
"So, she is using this opportunity to get closer to you? Aaron, you're quite fortunate," she teased.
Aaron picked up the coffee brought in by his secretary and took a sip, leisurely saying, "Should I give this fortune to Baldwin then? I wonder if you'd still be able to laugh?"
At the mention of Baldwin, the amusement faded from Quinn's face.
She changed her sitting position and said, "Aaron, I came here today to ask for your help with something."
"What is it?" Aaron asked.
"There's a recently debuted female star named Betsy. Your company just selected her as the spokesperson for our jewelry brand. We're planning to have her shoot a series of advertising photos with Baldwin to promote the brand. I don't like her, so I want you to have your PR department replace her," Quinn explained.
Aaron raised an eyebrow and glanced at her.
He wouldn't normally get involved in choosing spokespersons, so he was unfamiliar with this female star.
It seemed that she had offended Quinn.
"What happened exactly to make you go to such lengths to ask for my help?" Aaron asked with a hint of coldness on his face.
"What else could have happened? Just like that ugly duckling from earlier, she overestimated her abilities and tried to seduce a man," Quinn coldly smiled.
Aaron guessed what had happened.
"So, this Betsy tried to seduce Baldwin?"
Quinn chuckled coldly. "She only debuted a year ago. She had previously worked with Baldwin in a web series before he became famous, so they knew each other then. Betsy looks pretty good, and her management company has been promoting her quite well and getting her a bit of attention. And now, your PR department noticed her and arranged for her to shoot the advertising photos with Baldwin."
Aaron shifted his crossed legs and asked, "Isn't shooting an advertisement normal? How did she manage to seduce Baldwin?"
Upon hearing this, Quinn raises her eyebrows and says, "That's not important. Just have your PR department replace her."
Aaron looks at her, his long fingers habitually tapping his leg.
"Quinn, we need to separate work from personal matters. Without a valid reason, I can't just replace someone." Aaron informed.
Quinn glares at him. "Aaron, are you intentionally provoking me? You're the CEO of your company, and anyone would listen to you with just a word."
"Although that's true, as the CEO, I have to be fair to everyone," Aaron calmly responds.
"You say that Betsy seduced Baldwin, then I have to replace Betsy. What if it's just a misunderstanding? You should know that there are many rumors in the entertainment industry," he adds, mentioning how he was previously affected by rumors about him, Suzy, and Sunny.
