Chapter 468 I Won't Bother Them
Becky felt her ears burning, thinking, 'Did he take an enhancement pill last night, seeming more vigorous than before!'
Even though she was drunk, her senses were still sharp.
She vividly remembered the pleasure of each climax.
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped.
The bathroom door opened, and Lucas, wrapped in a towel around his waist, came out holding a dry towel. He was drying his wet, short hair as he walked out.
Lucas noticed Becky sitting on the bed in a daze, and he asked, "Are you awake?"
Becky snapped out of her thoughts and glanced at Lucas's upper body, still covered in water droplets. She quickly stopped reminiscing and deliberately responded with a stiff face, "Yes."
Lucas squinted his eyes and said, "You're not happy? Haven't you been satisfied yet?"
He had been working hard all night last night and really needed to replenish his energy today!
"Don't you recall what happened last night?" Lucas asked, deliberately glancing at his lower body.
Lucas walked to the edge of the bed, placed his hands on both sides of her, and leaned closer to her.
He remarked, "Don't you remember? Last night, you were crying and begging for mercy from me before finally fainting."
Becky's gaze flickered, and she said, "Really? I don't remember."
Lucas sneered, "Since you don't remember, I don't mind helping you recall."
With that, he forcefully pushed her onto the bed and used his big hands to touch her.
Becky took a sharp breath, pushed his hand away, covered her chest with the blanket, and sat up.
"Lucas, let me make it clear first. I didn't want to sleep with you last night. But you performed quite well, so I reluctantly accepted it! Now, hurry up and leave. Last night's affair is in the past!" Becky explained.
Lucas squinted his eyes and accused, "What, you want to find someone else now?"
Becky smiled and said, "Yes, you can find a substitute for Nora. Why can't I find someone else? We're not a married couple!"
Lucas's expression changed. He reached out and pinched her chin, asking, "Are you deliberately provoking me?"
"No, I'm stating the facts!" she exclaimed.
Becky broke free from his grasp, and stated, "During this time, I've also realized that it's not worth it to persist for a man who doesn't love me. Don't worry; I won't continue chasing after you."
She said it seriously, without any intention of provoking him.
Lucas's expression became even worse.
He was about to speak when he heard Becky say, "Besides, your face is far inferior to those handsome guys in the entertainment industry. When I become a big star, I will have more options!"
With a disdainful look, she raised her chin, wrapped herself in a quilt, and got out of bed.
Lucas looked serious, grabbed Becky's arm, and pulled her back onto the bed, as well as pressed her underneath him.
"You never think! Do you really want those handsome guys in the entertainment industry?" Lucas asked, angrily.
Becky pushed his chest, unwillingly saying, "Men can find pretty girls; in return, why can't we women find handsome guys?"
Angry, Lucas forcefully pulled the quilt off her body.
"If you want men that badly, fine, I'll grant your wish!" Lucas promised.
"Lucas, what are you doing?" Becky shouted.
He coldly smiled, and his large hand reached toward her inner thigh, Becky gasped, and her body trembled.
He drew his hand back, and said mockingly, "Look, what's this?"
She looked at the moisture in his hand, feeling embarrassed and annoyed.
She wanted to say something, but he had already leaned down, preventing her from saying anything.
Nora went to the laboratory.
In the parking lot, she saw a familiar figure getting out of a car.
In the freezing wind, the man stood silently, gazing in the direction of the laboratory, lost in his thoughts.
The lonely figure appeared even more desolate in the empty surroundings.
Nora thought about his relationship with Sandy and let out a sigh, walking toward him.
Nora greeted, "Good morning, Dr. Wright."
Zephyr snapped out of his trance and turned to look at her, and responded, "Oh, it's Dr. Smith."
Nora smiled, and they walked toward the laboratory together.
The winter weather was cold, and even with the sun, it couldn't alleviate the coldness of the winter.
Nora tightened her coat and looked at Zephyr, who was walking quietly.
She said, "Christmas is coming, and spring is not far away."
Zephyr glanced at her without responding.
Nora continued, "Do you want someone to accompany you on Christmas?"
Zephyr nodded, feeling helpless, "Of course."
Nora said, "Dr. Wright, you are very charming. Many girls should like you."
Zephyr remained silent when Nora continued, "But is it because you already have someone in your heart?"
Zephyr's fingers tightened slightly, still not saying a word. There was a trace of pain in his eyes.
Nora sighed and stopped walking.
"Dr. Wright, I don't know if you came here specifically to collaborate with Mr. Levelt on medical research because of Sandy. But you have also seen that she and Kenneth are very happy, and they even have a child now. They will continue to live well. If you truly love someone, you want them to be happy forever, right?" Nora pointed out.
She really didn't want Zephyr to continue holding onto a hopeless feeling. It wasn't good for him or Sandy.
Zephyr looked ahead, took a breath, and felt the coolness inside. In a calm voice, he said, "Dr. Smith, I understand what you mean. Don't worry, I won't disturb them. I want to quietly stay at her side and watch over her."
He stood there alone.
Nora felt a bit hesitant but still spoke up, "Have you considered that your presence might trouble them?"
Zephyr looked at her, and said, "Are you afraid they would argue because of me? If that's the case, it means Kenneth doesn't love her enough. If it were me, I would unconditionally trust her."
Nora was instantly at a loss for words. Watching him stride forward, she quickly caught up with him.
"You're a good man. But she's not Cora; you can't place this feeling on her," she reminded.
Zephyr stopped in his tracks, feeling agitated, with his eyes turned slightly red. "Is she really not Cora? She clearly is!" he insisted.
Nora opened her mouth, wanting to lie, but the words couldn't come out.
"All right, Dr. Smith, I understand what you mean. Don't worry, I won't ruin her marriage. As long as she is happy, I will silently bless her." Zephyr regained control of his emotions and then walked forward with long strides.
Nora watched his back and shook her head before slowly following behind him. In the corner, Suzy looked at them, full of confusion.
What were they talking about? She's not Cora? Then who is Cora?
