Chapter 860 Breakfast Together

"Having a baby is really tough on your health," Aaron said.

Nora looked at him. "That's the only reason?"

"Of course. Your health is what matters most," Aaron replied.

Nora's eyes sparkled, and she teased, "Isn't it because our sex life will be affected if I'm pregnant?"

Aaron laughed and gave her a deep kiss. "Honey, you see right through me; it's kinda scary."

"What are you scared of?"

"Scared I can't keep up with you!"

Nora raised an eyebrow and pushed him onto the couch. "Then let me take charge!"

Aaron was momentarily stunned, then chuckled. "Go ahead, honey, you're the boss tonight!"

His playful attitude made Nora laugh.

Just as Nora was about to kiss Aaron, her phone rang.

Nora picked it up and glanced at the screen, a hint of surprise in her eyes.

"Who's calling?"

Their moment interrupted, Aaron asked, a bit annoyed.

"Gabriella."

Nora patted Aaron's head to calm him, then answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Hello."

"Dr. Smith, have you had dinner?" Gabriella's tone was cheerful.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Oh, nothing major. I just wanted to apologize to you and Mr. Gordon. I couldn't help you out. I talked to Hugo this morning, but it didn't go well."

So Gabriella was calling about that.

Nora smiled. "It's okay, you tried. We'll handle it ourselves."

"Alright, if you need anything in the future, just let me know. I'll try my best."

Gabriella's enthusiasm made Nora happy.

"Okay."

"What are you and Mr. Gordon up to now?" Gabriella asked casually.

Nora glanced at Aaron beneath her. She couldn't exactly say they were about to have passionate sex.

Nora fibbed a little. "We're watching TV in the hotel."

Aaron was speechless. Watching TV? They were clearly about to have sex!

Gabriella laughed. "You two are just watching TV in the room? The scenery here is beautiful; why not go out for a walk?"

Nora instinctively glanced towards the window, feeling a bit tempted.

Just as she was about to say something, Aaron took the phone. "No, we find watching TV in the room more interesting." Then he hung up.

Nora was speechless. "Aaron, don't be like that. She was kindly inviting us for a walk."

Aaron, still in high spirits, pressed Nora down and raised an eyebrow. "Honey, you two became friends so quickly. I almost wish she were your rival in love."

Nora laughed. "You just want another admirer, don't you?"

"No, I just don't want you to push me away for someone else."

Aaron leaned down and kissed her on the lips.

Nora dodged and teased, "All you think about is sex. Aren't you tired?"

Aaron kissed his way down. "You know best whether I'm tired or not."

Nora was speechless. She did know best. Aaron had plenty of energy; it was she who got tired!

A night of passion.

The next day.

Aaron woke up in the morning sunlight, kissed the still-sleeping Nora, and got out of bed to wash up.

It was rare to have two days off, so Aaron stayed in bed with Nora a bit longer today.

After he finished washing up, there was a knock on the door.

Aaron opened the door and saw Frederick, with Gabriella standing behind him.

"Mr. Gordon, she says she's a friend of yours," Frederick said, standing outside and not letting Gabriella in.

Gabriella waved the bag in her hand and smiled brightly. "Good morning, Mr. Gordon. Have you and Dr. Smith had breakfast?"

"Not yet," Aaron replied.

"I figured you hadn't, so I brought some local specialties. Want to join me for breakfast?" Gabriella offered.

Aaron said, "Nora is still asleep," clearly hinting not to let Gabriella in.

Gabriella blinked and said, "It's already late, and Dr. Smith is still asleep? Let me tell you, no matter how late it is, you should have breakfast. Otherwise, it's bad for your stomach. I'll go in and wait for her to wake up."

With that, Gabriella walked straight into the room.

Aaron frowned. He wanted to ask Gabriella to leave, but considering her point about breakfast, he said nothing.

Gabriella placed the breakfast on the dining table and looked at Aaron. "Mr. Gordon, why don't you have a bite first?"

"I'm not hungry yet," Aaron said, planning to wait for Nora to wake up and eat breakfast with her.

Gabriella noticed Aaron's intention and smiled. "You want to wait for Dr. Smith to wake up and eat together, right?"

As she spoke, she picked up a pastry and walked over to him, unwrapping it. "I'm not stopping you from showing affection with Dr. Smith, but this pastry is best eaten warm. I waited in line for half an hour to get it. Give it a try."

Gabriella had brought the food right to his mouth. It would be too pretentious not to eat it.

Aaron frowned slightly but took it. "Thanks."

Watching him take a bite, Gabriella asked, "How is it? Tasty?"

Aaron gave a faint nod.

Gabriella smiled. "I knew you'd like it because I love it too."

Aaron paused his chewing and glanced at her.

Gabriella quickly added, "I mean, we're from the same country. Our tastes should be similar."

Aaron said nothing and continued eating the pastry elegantly.

Gabriella smiled and went to the kitchen to make two cups of coffee, handing one to him. "Mr. Gordon, when do you plan to return to the base? Although I vouched for you, it's not good to stay here too long. Many people outside want to collaborate with the military industry."

Gabriella brought up business, and Aaron instinctively took a sip of the coffee she handed him, becoming more serious. "In a couple of days. I'll head back once I sort things out here."

Gabriella smiled and nodded.

Seeing Aaron finish the pastry, Gabriella noticed his hands were dirty, so she handed him a wet wipe. Aaron, thinking about business, didn't pay much attention. He put down the coffee cup and took the wipe to clean his hands.

Gabriella smiled and handed him more food, starting to discuss work matters.

In the bedroom, Nora lay in bed, vaguely hearing their conversation. Her eyelashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes. After a moment of daze, Nora got out of bed, put on a coat, and went to the living room.

She saw Gabriella and Aaron chatting happily on the couch. The living room was filled with the aroma of food, and the table was covered with breakfast items.

"Dr. Smith, you're awake. Sorry, did we wake you up with our talk?" Gabriella, seeing Nora come out, quickly stood up and walked over, smiling apologetically.
