Chapter 424 The Meaning of the First Snow

Olivia quickly straightened her clothes, then took a few quick steps and called out, "Nora, wait!"

Nora, who was about to bend down into the car, heard the calling and raised her gaze.

Upon seeing the person, the smile on her face froze for a moment.

She stood up straight and waited for Olivia to approach, asking in a calm voice, "What's the matter?"

Ignoring Nora's cold attitude, Olivia pretended to be adorable.

"Nora, are you going back now?" Olivia asked.

Nora replied, "Yes."

"Oh, who is this...?" Olivia asked.

Her gaze was fixed on Aaron's handsome face.

Her eyes were filled with admiration.

Nora's originally cold expression turned even more frigid.

She reached out and held Aaron's arm. "He's my boyfriend," Nora announced.

"Oh, so he's the future brother-in-law! Hello, brother-in-law, I'm Olivia. My uncle is Arthur." Olivia disregarded Nora's coldness and introduced herself to Aaron.

It appears innocent and naive.

She addressed Aaron as brother-in-law without hesitation.

Her mouth was quite sweet.

Aaron raised an eyebrow, sensing Nora's indifference, so he naturally didn't show too much enthusiasm towards Olivia.

He nodded slightly as a greeting and looked at Nora. "Can we go now?" he asked.

Nora looked at Olivia and inquired, "Do you still have something to do? If not, we will leave."

Olivia hurriedly said, "Nora, my uncle told me that you are a master healer, and I happen to have some medical questions to ask you. Can you give me a ride?"

Give her a ride?

It seems that asking for advice was just an excuse, and she really wants to get closer to Aaron.

Nora pursed her lips and didn't want to give her a ride at all.

Because she didn't like this girl with no manners.

But since Olivia said so, she couldn't refuse directly out of politeness.

She had to find an excuse to refuse.

While hesitating, Aaron spoke, "Sorry, we have some urgent matters to attend to, so we are afraid we can't give you a ride. Come back another day to seek advice."

After speaking, he gestured for Nora to get into the car.

Nora's lips curved into a smile, enjoying his lack of mercy at the moment, so she sat in the car.

The smile on Olivia's face almost disappeared.

She didn't expect Aaron to be so arrogant.

She wanted to say something, but she saw that the tall man didn't even spare her a glance and got in the car with Nora.

In the driver's seat, Noe kept the car running. After the two of them sat down, he stepped on the gas pedal and drove away directly.

Olivia almost got hit in the face by the exhaust fumes and quickly stepped back two steps.

Watching the luxury car speed away, she pursed her mouth, looking displeased.

Why is Aaron so cold?

But he is truly handsome.

Nora is so lucky. She had three children with a wild man, yet she could make this handsome and rich man treasure her. What did Nora do to attract Aaron?

Nora must know how to please a man in that aspect!

Olivia's gaze darted around.

She was still a single woman past her prime, but she didn't look bad. It would be great if she had more chances to interact with Aaron.

She would certainly make Aaron notice her.

Inside the car, Aaron saw that Nora was lost in thought, so he pinched her smooth and tender hand.

"What are you thinking? It seems like you don't like that girl just now," Aaron asked.

Nora turned her head to look at him and said, "Her face was filled with 'I like this man.' Do I still need to like her?"

Upon hearing this, Aaron raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

Nora responded with a forced smile.

As she looked at the snow falling heavier outside the window, she thought about the symbolism of the first snow.

The dissatisfaction in her heart rose again, and she asked, "Thomas, how did you come up with the idea of watching the first snow with me?"

Aaron played with Nora's small hand and asked, "Don't you want to watch the first snow with me?"

"Stop interrupting. Do you know the meaning of the first snow?" Nora asked directly.

Seeing her serious expression, Aaron's blue eyes flickered. If he said he knew, Nora might have imagined something.

"I don't know," Aaron replied.

"You really don't know?" Nora didn't believe it.

"What does the first snow mean, anyway?" Aaron asked again.

Aaron threw the question back at her.

Nora chuckled and slapped his hand away.

"Stop pretending, come on, did you used to watch the first snow with Suzy?" Nora asked.

The Gordon family and the Hamilton family were old friends.

The two grew up together since childhood.

Suzy always treated Aaron as her boyfriend.

So, they must have watched the snow together before!

Aaron wanted to facepalm.

He saw it snowing today and thought it would be romantic to experience it with Nora since this was their first year together.

But he didn't expect Nora to be so sensitive.

He held Nora's hand again and said, "Nora, would you believe me if I said I never watched the first snow with Suzy?"

The man's blue eyes showed a hint of nervousness.

Nora was just puzzled, not angry.

Seeing the cautious look on his face, her heart softened.

"As long as it's you saying it, I believe you," Nora stated.

Hearing this, Aaron let out a sigh of relief.

"I honestly never watched the first snow with her," Aaron promised.

Was that so?

Nora looked at him, feeling her mood gradually becoming more cheerful. "Then why did you suddenly become romantic?" she asked.

Aaron regained his composure and wrapped his arms around her.

"Am I usually so dull?" he questioned.

Nora thought for a moment and acknowledged, "Not really, I just find it strange."

Aaron played with her smooth white hand and coughed lightly, and said, "Although I never watched the first snow with Suzy, she hinted to me about its significance. Every year when it snowed, she would ask me to watch the first snow with her."

Oh, it turns out Suzy mentioned it, so that's why he became so romantic.

Nora's excitement slowly faded, and she felt a bit puzzled.

Aaron saw her frown and hurriedly said, "But I never watched the first snow with her because I was very busy."

The man looked nervous, begging for belief and forgiveness.

Nora's sense of puzzlement gradually faded away.

She was a generous person and would not dwell on his past.

However...

"If you're not busy, would you watch it with her then?" Nora asked.

She just wanted to tease him, to see him come up with ways to make her happy.

Especially something sweet.

Aaron had no idea what she was thinking. At this moment, he just wanted to smack himself.

He denied it and wondered why he had to add that extra sentence.

He was acting like he was asking for trouble.

"Nothing is going on; I don't even like her. Even if I'm not busy, I wouldn't go see the first snow with her," he insisted.

Nora wanted to laugh, but she forced her lips to stay straight.

"Is that so?" Nora mocked.

"Of course! Nora, don't you trust me? Didn't you say that as long as I say it, you would believe me?" Aaron asked, anxious.

Aaron felt a little anxious in his heart and leaned down to kiss her.

Nora quickly reached out to stop him, playfully scolding, "No messing around."

Aaron stared at her, and said, "I'm not messing around; I'm serious about wanting to kiss you."

Nora was speechless.

Noe, driving from the front, had become numb from their public display of affection for a long time.

He instinctively put up the partition, tuning out the outside world and focusing solely on driving.

The two people in the back seat leaned against each other for a while. Nora blushed and straightened her clothes.

Seeing the snow quickly piling up on the side of the road, her mood brightened.

"With the snow falling like this, we can build a snowman tomorrow morning, right?" Nora asked as if seeking confirmation.

"And have a snowball fight," he added.

Aaron fixed her messy hair and put his arm around her, lightly kissing her ear.

Smelling the pleasant scent of the man, Nora thought of the meaning of the first snow.

"Noe, please stop by the roadside," Nora ordered.
