Chapter 645 Did You Really Sleep With Sunny Remington?

Seraphina blinked and said, "You asked me what else can we do. I thought you were going in to find them."

Noe choked; he couldn't say Seraphina was wrong.

He said, "What I meant was, we could find a place to sit and rest first, wait for them to show up. I am tired."

Seraphina understood and agreed, then looked around and said, "There's an open space ahead; let's rest there."

"Okay, let's go." Noe sighed and led the way forward.

Because he was too tired, he just wanted to find a place to sit down quickly, so he walked fast.

"Don't walk so fast; watch out for snakes," Seraphina behind him said coldly.

Noe's steps paused, and his hair stood on end instantly.

Whether it was his illusion or not, it seemed like something was wriggling under his feet.

He slowly lowered his head and indeed found a snake moving slowly from one side to the other, a few centimeters in front of him.

They were walking on a small path with bushes on both sides.

The snake's head and tail were hidden on both sides, leaving only a section of the snake's body slowly wriggling in the middle of the road.

If he walked a little faster, he would step on the snake.

Noe was shocked; his face ashened.

Unconsciously, he took two steps back.

Seraphina stood behind him and instinctively gave him a hand, asking, "What's wrong with you?"

"Be careful, don't go there, there's a snake." Noe grabbed Seraphina's hand and reminded her with a tense face.

Seraphina looked ahead and said indifferently, "This snake is not venomous; don't be afraid."

Noe was speechless.

She thought he was scared!
"I'm not afraid!" Noe said.

Seraphina glanced at her hand, which he was holding tightly and causing pain, and said, "My hand hurts a bit; let go of me first."

Noe was stunned, looked down, and realized that he was tightly holding Seraphina's hand.

Noe suddenly felt embarrassed and quickly let go of her hand.

He cleared his throat and said, "I'm really not afraid; I just don't want you to step on the snake."

He was a man; he couldn't show weakness in front of Seraphina!

With that, Noe was about to move forward.

Seraphina looked ahead again and said, "Don't go yet; there's another snake ahead."

Noe's body stiffened; he swallowed and asked, "Is there a snake nest here? Why are there so many snakes?"

Nobody knew. Although he was a man, he was really afraid of cold-blooded animals.

Just the thought of it gave him goosebumps!

Seraphina held Noe's arm, saying, "Follow me."

Noe glanced at her and said, "If there's a snake, wait for it to pass before moving."

Seraphina said, "You were right just now. There is a snake nest here, and now the nest is probably relocating. If we don't move, there will probably be more snakes coming out behind us."

Noe felt a chill down his spine.

It seemed like countless snakes were advancing towards him.

It was a terrifying place!

But Seraphina acted as if she was used to it!

"Then let's go quickly," Noe said and swallowed; his gaze swept over Seraphina's hand holding his arm, and he silently followed Seraphina more closely.

In a place like this, he actually felt at ease with Seraphina around!

He, Noe, a big man, unconditionally trusted Seraphina, a weak woman!

In the woods, Aaron and Nora had been walking for so long; it seemed like they couldn't reach the end.

Finally, Aaron saw a cave in a dense thicket and said, "Nora, that should be a cave ahead; let's go there to rest."

Following his gaze, Nora also saw it.

So, the two of them embraced and entered the cave.

The cave was very dry, with firewood and other things to make fire on the ground.

It should have been left by people who went hunting in the mountains or exploring.

Nora helped Aaron to the corner to sit down and prepared to make a fire.

Aaron's body was a bit weak; he rested for a while, watching Nora's busy figure with gentle eyes.

"Nora, do you know how to make a fire, or should I do it?" he asked.

Nora was setting up the firewood.

Glancing at him, she said, "Don't underestimate me."

Although she had never learned wilderness survival skills, there was a ready-made fire rack here, along with unused branches.

She just needed to put the dry branches on top to start a fire.

Aaron said, "I'm not underestimating you; I'm caring for you."

He found two rocks for making fire and started a fire in a primitive way.

Seeing that he insisted on helping, Nora didn't stop him.

The two sat by the fire, the warm yellow light illuminating their faces, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Aaron leaned against the rock wall, one long leg bent up, and reached out to embrace Nora, letting her lean against him.

After resting for a while, Nora asked softly, "Does the wound hurt?"

Aaron held her small hand in his left hand, kissed it to his lips, and said jokingly, "Kiss me, and I won't feel the pain."

Nora chuckled, rolled her eyes silently. Afraid that Aaron would start talking nonsense again, she protested by patting him, and then withdrew her hand.

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Aaron's mouth, and he didn't say any more nonsense to tease her but sat quietly, watching the fire in front of him.

As long as he was with Nora, his heart seemed to be at peace.

Nora, roasted by the fire, also felt very comfortable.

When she was comfortable, her mind became active.

Thinking back to the question she thought of when they encountered the wild wolves just now, her heart beat faster.

Nora hesitated for a moment and asked, "Aaron, four years ago, did you really sleep with Sunny?"

Until she figured this out, her heart wouldn't be at ease!

"Why are you suddenly asking this?" Aaron's hand on her shoulder tightened inexplicably, a little nervous, afraid that Nora would think he was a playboy who had been involved with many women.

Nora sat up slightly, looked at Aaron, and said, "Think about it again. Did you really sleep with Sunny four years ago?"

Her beautiful eyes stared directly at him.

Although Aaron didn't understand why Nora asked this, he still tried to recall.

He said, "I remember that I slept with Sunny at your wedding. That night, I had just returned to the country, and as the future heir of the Gordon Group, Lucas's parents naturally warmly invited me over. But I arrived very late; by the time I got there, the wedding was almost over. I only had two glasses of wine and then left. I didn't see you at the time."

As Aaron recounted these things, Nora also recalled the events of that year.

She wasn't good at drinking back then, but because it was her wedding, she naturally had to accompany Lucas to the toast.

Nora only knew that the people from the Smith family had been urging her to drink, and she drank a few glasses and passed out.

Thinking back now, Becky must have deliberately gotten her drunk so that she could take Lucas to her bed.

Looking back on the wedding back then, it was quite ridiculous.

The wedding was all organized by Becky's mother.

Even the stylist for the wedding was someone they hired.

Becky and her mother didn't like her at all, so naturally, they wouldn't find a good styling team for her to make her look good.

Instead, they would encourage the stylist to make her look ugly.

Nora only knew that the stylist had put heavy makeup on her, covering up her originally delicate features.

Thinking back, her makeup at the time must have been hideous, unrecognizable to anyone.
