Chapter 534 Divide and Conquer

Sunny held her head high, staring straight ahead as she sat down in her designated makeup chair.

"Is the makeup artist here yet? Hurry up. My scene is about to start."

Sunny examined her face in the mirror, her expression full of arrogance. It was as if she didn't notice the makeup artist was busy.

Her assistant glanced at the makeup artist and then rudely shouted, "Sunny is calling you! Are you deaf?"

The entertainment industry was just that realistic. Whoever had the higher status dared to throw their weight around.

Although the makeup artist was displeased, she didn't dare to talk back to Sunny. She looked at Becky with some difficulty.

Becky smiled and said, "You go ahead and do Sunny's makeup first. I need to fill in my eyebrows; I can do it myself."

Hearing this, the makeup artist quickly stopped what she was doing and ran over to do Sunny's makeup.

Sunny glanced at Becky, seemingly satisfied with her concession.

"I'm not in a hurry. Why don't you let her finish your makeup first?"

Becky looked at her, feeling a bit disdainful, but still complimented her on the surface. "No, Sunny, I'm just a supporting role. Your scenes as the lead actress are the most important, so of course, we should prioritize your needs."

Sunny was very pleased with her tactfulness and smiled without saying a word.

The makeup artist began doing her makeup.

Becky picked up an eyebrow pencil and started filling in her eyebrows, deliberately saying, "Sunny, did you hear? Best Actress Suzy is joining the cast to play the second female lead."

Sunny didn't know about this and showed a hint of surprise on her face. "Really?"

"Yes."

Becky continued. "I heard that people used to call you 'Little Suzy,' making it seem like you only got into the industry because of her. Who would have thought that one day she would be playing a supporting role to you!"

Sunny sneered. "Every dog has its day; that's just how it is."

Previously, Suzy had blackmailed her into sabotaging Aaron and Nora's relationship, which almost ruined her. Thinking about it still made her angry.

Now, in the entertainment industry, she had finally surpassed Suzy. Just thinking about it made her happy!

"Sunny, didn't Suzy already retire from the entertainment industry? Why is she making a comeback? With her personality, who knows if she'll throw her weight around on set? She might even try to intimidate us first!" Becky said deliberately.

Sunny frowned, thinking it was a possibility. 'Suzy was not an easy person to get along with!'

However, things were different now. If Suzy dared to intimidate her, she would make sure that Suzy would regret it!

Before long, Suzy arrived with her assistant. She was wearing a long black dress with a fur coat draped over her shoulders. Her expression was still arrogant and overbearing.

She glanced at the two people in the makeup room without saying a word and went straight to another makeup chair.

"Where's the makeup artist?"

Her assistant looked at the makeup artist who was doing Sunny's makeup and asked, "How much longer will you be?"

The makeup artist quickly said, "Just a moment, almost done."

Hearing this, Sunny spoke up. "Almost done? I think you didn't do my hairstyle right today. You made my hair too puffy and made my face big. Redo it."

The makeup artist was stunned, thinking. 'She just said she was very satisfied with today's look; why is she suddenly unhappy?'

Sometimes, women were really hard to understand.

The makeup artist didn't dare to voice her opinion and had to redo Sunny's hairstyle.

After redoing the hairstyle, Sunny started picking at the makeup, which caused the makeup artist to spend a long time fixing and touching up.

At this point, Trump had already sent someone to urge Sunny to go on set.

Seeing Sunny was busy, the director decided to let Becky shoot her scenes first.

Becky knew it must have been her earlier words that had an effect. Sunny was deliberately delaying Suzy.

She really wanted to stay and watch the drama unfold, but she had to focus on her work and left first.

The makeup room was now left with Sunny and Suzy.

Suzy waited for half an hour, but the makeup artist still hadn't come to do her makeup. She was getting impatient.

"Do you even know how to do makeup? How much longer will you take?"

The makeup artist looked aggrieved. "Almost done."

Sunny looked at herself in the mirror and smiled slightly. "Suzy, you're still as arrogant as ever. Do you still think you're the best actress who can order everyone around?"

Suzy, who has been in the entertainment industry for many years, naturally understood Sunny's little tricks.

She coldly smiled. "I haven't seen you in a few months; you've changed a lot. Do you really think you're a superstar now?"

Sunny stopped the makeup artist's actions and turned to look at her.

"What else? At least I'm playing the lead role now, and you, a washed-up best actress, have to play a supporting role to me!"

"You..."

"I'm done, Suzy. Take your time with your makeup!"

Sunny smiled triumphantly and slowly left.

Suzy was so angry her chest heaved. "Sunny, don't get too cocky. We'll see!"

Outside, Becky had smoothly finished shooting her scenes. Seeing Sunny come out, she quickly approached her.

"Sunny, did Suzy make you any trouble?"

Seeing Becky looking so flattering and worried about her, Sunny felt very happy.

"No problem."

Becky was annoyed by Sunny's triumphant look. She flattered Sunny. "That's good. I was afraid she would bully you."

"How could that be?" Sunny said.

Becky got back to the point. "Did Suzy say anything unpleasant?"

Sunny sneered. "Does she still think she's the best actress? I don't even bother to deal with her."

Becky nodded and complimented again. "Exactly. After all, you're the lead actress."

At this moment, Trump was calling for Sunny.

"I have to go shoot now. Let's talk next time."

"Okay."

As soon as Sunny turned around, Becky's smile disappeared instantly, and she returned to the makeup room.

At this time, Suzy was still getting her makeup done.

Becky sat in a chair reading the script. She flipped to the scenes Suzy was going to shoot today and blinked.

Suzy's character in the script is a wealthy heiress who has been lost since birth. She grew up in a low-income family and worked part-time jobs in college to earn a living.

Because she was so beautiful, she caught the eye of a gangster.

And today, Suzy was going to shoot a scene where she gets assaulted...

Becky looked at the actor who was going to play opposite Suzy and thought of something; her spirits lifted.

She wanted to march into the entertainment industry, so she paid extra attention to people and events in it.

The actor who was going to play opposite Suzy was named Torg Fajrer, a man in his forties.

He had a bad reputation in the industry, so he usually played villainous roles.

Most importantly, he often took advantage of actresses under the guise of acting.

Sometimes, during intimate scenes, he would even take things to be true.

There had been actresses who publicly accused him, but for various reasons, nothing came after it.

That actress eventually left the industry.

It was said that Torg had paid to settle the matter.
